The Best Beaches in the World, According to the 'Readers' Choice Awards' | Condé Nast Traveler

"A 2.5‑mile ribbon of pristine, powdery‑soft white sand sets the stage here, but the beachfront social, dining, and nightlife scene is just as compelling. Long deemed a party destination, Boracay buzzes with bars, lounges, and clubs where people dance to live music and DJs while sipping cocktails by the shore. The beach is divided into stations—3 for the most affordable stays, 1 for the most luxurious, with most food and shops in 2—and the exclusive northernmost Station 0 offering an even more upscale vibe." - Kat Chen

The Best Beaches in the Philippines for Surfing, Seclusion, and Powder-Soft Sands | Condé Nast Traveler

"A 2.5-mile run of powder-soft sand anchors Boracay’s social heartbeat, where beachfront bars, lounges, and clubs keep the party going with cocktails, live music, and DJs. The island’s “stations” help set expectations: Station 3 is the most budget-friendly, Station 1 the most luxurious, and Station 2 the hub for most dining and shopping; the exclusive Station 0 at the northern tip is decidedly upscale." - Jasmine Ting

White beach Boracay has three stations Station 1: Very clean, beautiful, there’s a mountain there you can walk around it to another beautiful beach. Many excellent hotels, a lot of great scenery, a lot of sailing boats as well. There’s also Willy’s Rock near the Station 1 port. Station 2: Lots of shops and good restaurants, it gets very loud at night, but if you like a more crowded night this is the best place to be. The sea isn’t so polluted, but not as clean as the sea areas in station 1 Station 3: It’s basically empty, very quiet and not a lot of well known hotels. The sea there is filled with so much algae, not suitable for swimming. If you prefer peace and quiet, station 3 is obviously the best choice. You can just sit on the beachside in the quiet, and it’s very enjoyable. All in all, White beach is a very pleasant place to spend your vacation. If you want cheaper restaurants and souvenir shops, just go to d-mall in station 2, it’s not worth eating overpriced food at the beachside.

White Beach is made up of three stations. - Station 1: More high end accommodation and not as busy as station 2. Beautiful soft powdery white sand with no shells or broken coral. - Station 2: This is where the majority of Restaurants, Bars, Shops and Massage Parlours are. Again, Beautiful soft powdery white sand, but depending on the tide there’s shells and broken coral. There is more of a police / security guard presence here, especially near D’Mall. - Station 3: More budget accommodation and not as busy as station 2. Again, Beautiful soft powdery white sand, but depending on the tide there’s shells and broken coral. - The beach is lined by restaurants, bars, shops, massage parlours, etc. - There are a lot of venders trying to sell / promote numerous activities, massage, souvenirs, jewellery, etc. Most of the time, if you’re polite and say no thank you, they leave you alone and move on to the next person, but after a while it can become a little annoying and tiresome. Unlike Puka beach where you have to say no numerous times. - it’s a very beautiful beach, which has a nice vibe. It gets really busy at sunset, as everyone wants to enjoy the beautiful sunset. Overall Rating: 5/5

Google
This beach is most touristy place in whole Phillippines. So many water activities along with nice beach to sit, swim and enjoy the sunset. This beach also has many cafes and other places to eat. It also has many shops if you want to get soveiners. New year's eve on this beach is once in a lifetime moment for most tourist here.

Adorján B.

Google
The beach is incredibly crowded and full of locals trying to push all kinds of tours and excursions on you. The restaurants are overpriced, and in the evening, it’s virtually impossible to move on the beach because there are so many people. Go to Puka or Ilig-iligan beaches instead.

Google
Visited this beach on the thanksgiving weekend , unfortunately it had a little bit of rain on both the days I stayed there. Definitely one of the cleanest and scenic beaches out there. During the end of November , it is generally quiet and less touristy as it's still the end of the off season here.

Google
Really beautiful beach. The sand is so fine it feels like dough! We were here in low season so it was not very crowded which was great. Theres also an orchestra that comes up and down in the evening which is cool! Careful if renting any paddle boards though… we rented one as we thought we would paddle around then the seller came with us, took us to 1 specific spot to snorkel, threw bread in the water and told us to watch the fish… then wouldn’t go anywhere else unless we paid extra. So you’re not actually renting the board but this person to sit on the board and watch you swim for 1 hour. And the spot he paddled us to was easily swimmable without the board…. Lots of chain restaurants and resorts along the whole beachfront though which is a bit disappointing.

Google
Lovely long beach, white sand and clear water, plenty of local on the walking side of it, there’s a wonderful sunset pretty much on every clear day and heaps of things to do. Not too further in the water few different diving and scuba spots, mostly accessible with ferry but not only (go all the way south to the rock hole for free snorkeling from shore, lovely reef)

Google
Beautiful white sand beaches. The touquoise blue water is lovely. The place is absolutely packed with tourist and peddlers mostly trying to sell you massages and tours. There are lots of little shops, bars and restaurants. Most of the shops are selling little touristy items. There are lots of security guardd around at all times on almost every corner. None of the peddlers seemed overly aggressive or pushy, like in other tourist destinations. The ocean in front of the beach is chocked full of party boats and paragliders. There isn't anything quaint left in this area, It's become similar to Mexican resort towns. It's easy and affordable to get around on the electric motorcycle shuttles.

Yelp
Consistently one of the top 10 beaches in the world. Powder white sand that never gets hot. Blue waters that beckon you to swim in. Paradise on earth

Yelp
Boracay is beautiful, it is small island that you can walk from one side to the other in about and less than 2 hours if you stay away from the mountains. it has several beaches, public and private resorts beaches too. But White Beach is by far the biggest and most popular beach in Boracay of the all the beaches and it's almost 3 miles long and divided into 3 sections, 1, 2, and 3. Clean clear warn waters and that is flat with no hard waves.  you have to walk over 100 feet before the water gets over your head . The sand fine and clean no shells, or seaweed and is re-clean nighty.  The beach walk is  wall to wall restaurants, and shops, hotels up to Luxury ones line up the beach with their own pools. And many activities to keep you busy and also a nightlife o the walking section parallel to the beach.  I did parasailing. helicopter ride, zip-line, sail boated, stand up paddle board, etc. and there were still things I didn't get to do like island hopping, horseback riding, and water activities like scuba diving and jet ski. I would also say this is now a family destination were a few years ago it was more beach party people, so bring the kids if they like water. The locals where all nice and English is the second language of the Philippines Sunset is beautiful on the beach or on the  small sailboats and always after 6, or 7 PM. You can get a sailboat ride for of one hour at the cost $10 US person, that are everywhere. You can book one on the beach and at many of the shops sell tour activities where you walk to or they pick you up. There is shops in town and off the beach a section 2 called the "D Mall" which is a concentration on winding streets instead of beach front. There are a few real good restaurants, and you can get buffets at most of the hotels. The foods are a cross between Asian, Italian, Filipino.  The cost outside of the hotel is more than the mainland but still less than what you expect to pay in the States for the same meal.

Yelp
In January it is off-on raining. Usually it'll rain for a couple minutes then go away, so don't fret! The beach is very white sand and nicely cleaned up. Lots of kuyas and ates around trying to sell you some beach activities. Try the scuba ! It is a wild experience. Many shops along the beachside as well as restaurants and easy eats. No alcohol or dogs allowed on the beach per new regulations as it is pretty clean now. They e even added a trash/recycle/compost bin every couple areas. Pretty busy from 9am- 6pm and closes at 6pm ish/the security starts making sure everyone is out of the water by dusk. Lots of foreigners, Chinese, Koreans, Americans, Europeans, huge melting pot of people. Kind of reminds me of Hawaii/Waikiki but more spacious.

Yelp
Widely regarded as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, White Beach in Boracay never fails to mesmerize me. White powder sand and shallow gin clear azure water is a given on any world class beach.... White Beach goes far beyond that. The fact that it faces west and enjoys a spectacular sunset every evening is also nice. Also the fact that even on a cloudy day, there are hundreds of shops and restaurants to keep you entertained. On a sunny day, there is a myriad of possibilities... parasailing, scuba diving, sailboats and paddleboards, or just chill on a lounger with a mango daiquiri. At night, the beach comes alive with al fresco dining, live music and fire dancers, and there is no shortage of beach bars to keep you in good spirits! It's really my favorite place on earth...and a place I proudly call home!

Yelp
All I can say is "woooowww!!" White Beach is hands down the prettiest beach I have been to in my entire life! The sand is so soft and the water is crystal clear and warm. The new laws prohibiting drinks and foods on the beach are excellent in keeping the pristine condition of the area and help make the beach a comfortable vacation spot.

Yelp
After what was probably a trip that took every -common- mode of transportation, we arrived in the dead of night to White Beach. To get to Boracay, you'll be taking a plane out of Manila, then onto a ferry, once you arrive you'll need to take a small taxi or tricycle to your hotel or to White Beach. Our trip started far in-land in the Philippines with a long bus ride, taxi, plane, another taxi, a boat, then another small taxi/tricycle. Good times. All about the experience anyway. Is it worth it? Heck yes. The sands are so white and soft. The water is clear and at various times of the year it goes from lapis to emerald. During the day there are tons of activities to sign up for ranging from cliff jumping to scuba diving, helmet diving, and even dressing up as a mermaid. We tried a few events, the helmet dive, island hopping with snorkeling, flying squirrel, and para-sailing. I would have totally done the cliff jump, but I'd be completely alone in that one, maybe. By far, my favorite event was the helmet dive. They send you several feet below the surface to a sandy area off shore where you can get photos taken of you feeding fish and just hanging out below the waters. It's really interesting. The helmet is fairly heavy and air is being pumped into it. You can take off the helmet while underwater too, just hold your breath. At the end they also give you a CD of photos taken by their divers. Tip: bring your own towels to this! They don't provide you one. Go pros and water proof cams work great. Hell... take a selfie stick. Why not? I'd recommend the island hopping if you're interested in exploring or just want something more relaxing. They stop off on several small beaches along the tour where you can eat at local-ish eateries. Fresh coconut water, fish, shrimp, all the seafood you'd want.. stuff like that. Just don't expect fine dining. This is bamboo huts and banana leaves and it's amazing. The guide will also periodically let you off for snorkeling. Feel free to use your own, but they have snorkels available. Also camera friendly. The flying squirrel is not something I'd recommend on your first day there. We got excited and thought.. oh, sure. Just fun. It's actually pretty serious upper body work out, that is if you don't want to tumble into the ocean. Basically, you cling onto a large kite like water tube. Up to 3 people can do it. If you are lighter you will go higher. As in, the air will get under you and you will be airborne. The flying part is fine, the coming down is rough. Not camera friendly! The nightlife here is surreal too. Music, fire dancing, the amount of seafood on display. Food ranges anywhere from local Filipino fare, to high scale dining, or standard looking American burger joints. There is also a Japanese restaurant in the area. Also all the buko and mango shakes you could damn well want.. my food staples. Once it gets darker, locals start coming out onto the sand and building extremely elaborate sand art which will have phrases like "I -heart- Boracay" and even include lit candles in their displays. It's a bit unsaid, but if you take photos try to tip the artists a little. Things I dislike: Aggressive beach vendors. These guys will just walk up to you and ask if you want to buy something. Just politely say no, but it does get a bit old after the 10th vendor. If you ever do get a chance to visit the Philippines, and you like adventure and beaches, definitely give Boracay a look!

Yelp
Gorgeous looking beach. Getting into the water in March? Eh... Water looks gorgeous. But, there is way too much kelp, seaweed, WHATEVER by the shoreline. I can't help but compare it to the Gili islands, which it probably isn't even fair to compare. It's like saying who's a better actress? Lauren London (Boracay) or Lupita Nyong'o (Gili)? You see the point. But can't complain too much. It's still a little piece of paradise. #winningbutcomplaining #meh #truth

Yelp
One of the the best beach of the planet, winner of many awards, it's an incredible and breathtaking place: white sand, clear water, full of beach activities, tours, great touristic structures between restaurants, resorts and clubs. Don't miss the beautiful sunset!

Yelp
Perfect Beach on the Island! Stay under a Palm tree and relax or try a Session of stand up paddling. Definetely a Must is a Sunset Tour in a paraw ! Staying at Station 3 is Highly recommended - its quiet but close to all the dining and Nightlife Spots. Check out the pito Huts as accomodation. Great value.

Yelp
Its a very pretty place. White sand, blue water, and cool breeze. Feels like in heaven. Im really happy that we went here. The front beach is crowded. A Lot of people coming from different parts of the world. Mostly are Japanese. Its close to d*mall where you can go and find souvenirs and eat delicious food.

Yelp
Very clean beach. Water was full of moss though due to the season so didn't swim much, but good for reading a book and just hanging out on beach. Sunsets are beautiful, the best I've ever seen. Don't miss them while you're here. Evening walks are a must do. Most places along the beach have two for one drinks.
