This bed and breakfast has fantastic hosts who are happy to help you find restaurants, plan out day trips, and everything else you could need. It has easy walking distance from the town as well. It has a casual and comfortable atmosphere and it is a high quality establishment without being pretentious. They have a delicious hot breakfast every morning which is a great way to welcome the brisk Maine morning. I plan to stay there again, thank you for making my previous visits so enjoyable.

Had a great long weekend at White Cedar Inn, room was great, Rock's breakfasts were great, access to downtown Freeport was minutes away by foot. Our only complaint was that a large group came in late on Friday and Saturday nights after 10 PM and did not use their indoor voices in the hallway. The rest of the weekend was terrific.

What a wonderful home! The location is perfect and the breakfast was outstanding. And I am a vegetarian! The hosts were helpful, fun to talk with, and VERY nice when a problem occurred. Which it did since I fell in Boston and fractured my arm. Their advice on pharmacy, etc. was essential. And they didn't even mind that I left a 'bloody mess' in my room. Thank you! Bottom line: this is the place to stay when you are in Freeport.

Great hosts. Fine breakfasts. Walkable access to downtown shopping. We chose White Cedar Inn for it's accessibility (a first floor room with a walk-in shower adjacent to one with a KB. Perfect for us as we were traveling with my 92 year old mother-in-law).

Cozy, clean, and comfortable; enjoy everything a bed and breakfast experience should be at White Cedar Inn. Our homemade breakfast was fantastic (orange croissant french toast) and once you're out the front door, you're within walking distance of Freeport's shops and outlets. I can't say enough nice things about our stay here, highly recommend.

This was our first Maine trip to actually STAY in Freeport. Previously we went to Camden. We were very pleased with our choice of Freeport, because it is centrally located to many interesting Maine Spots. Camden is not. We were also pleased with our choice of the White Cedar Inn. It is reasonably priced--most of the others there are not--and it provided all the necessities. I want to mention hot water, because many B&B's in my experience do not have enough. The hot water supply here was more than ample. The room was small, but comfortable. We had windows on two sides, and a view of downtown. The breakfasts were excellent. And the innkeepers are pro's who know what they are doing. The White Cedar Inn is an EXCELLENT VALUE. My wife and I fully recommend it.

The White Cedar Inn is in an excellent location to explore Freeport. The inn is friendly, clean and they serve up a great breakfast! Monica is very helpful with things to see and do in the area, I recommend her blog which often features lighthouses and special sights within an hour's drive. My favorite room is the Winthrop Fog room as it has a king bed and overlooks main street outside your window. It is great to read a book in the rocker and people watch. You won't find better value in Freeport, or friendlier hosts!

My wife and I spent two nights at the White Cedar Inn last week. We were greeted at the door by Rock, and he made us feel very welcome by pointing out the amenities in the Inn while he took us to our room. The Inn offers a little nook in the kitchen where you can get coffee, tea, snacks, and a delicious baked good throughout the day. The first day we had delicious chocolate chip cookies, and the second day we helped ourselves to a Whoopi pie, which just happens to be the official dessert of Maine. The Inn also offers a refrigerator to the guests. We stayed in the Chart Room, which is on the main floor of the Inn and has a bay window. The room was small but cozy. We were very impressed with how clean the room and bathroom was and how comfortable the bed was. Monica and Rock go out of their way to serve a delicious and filling hot breakfast every morning. I love their eye for detail; they did everything they could to meet the dietary needs of their guests. The first morning we had a bowl of fresh fruit to begin the meal. The main course consisted of a mushroom and tomato omelette with sausage links on the side. The toast was made with delicious bread from a local bakery. The second morning breakfast began with fruit and yogurt. The main course consisted of sausage patties and orange croissant French toast. It was delicious! Monica and Rock are gracious hosts who have created a warm, comfortable Inn filled with great conversation and top notch breakfasts. They also offer spot on recommendations for dining and activities. To top it all off, The White Cedar Inn is one block away from the outlet shops and the LL Bean flagship store. Thank you Monica and Rock for your hospitality and the great conversations.
