My wife and I spent two nights at the White Cedar Inn last week. We were greeted at the door by Rock, and he made us feel very welcome by pointing out the amenities in the Inn while he took us to our room. The Inn offers a little nook in the kitchen where you can get coffee, tea, snacks, and a delicious baked good throughout the day. The first day we had delicious chocolate chip cookies, and the second day we helped ourselves to a Whoopi pie, which just happens to be the official dessert of Maine. The Inn also offers a refrigerator to the guests. We stayed in the Chart Room, which is on the main floor of the Inn and has a bay window. The room was small but cozy. We were very impressed with how clean the room and bathroom was and how comfortable the bed was. Monica and Rock go out of their way to serve a delicious and filling hot breakfast every morning. I love their eye for detail; they did everything they could to meet the dietary needs of their guests. The first morning we had a bowl of fresh fruit to begin the meal. The main course consisted of a mushroom and tomato omelette with sausage links on the side. The toast was made with delicious bread from a local bakery. The second morning breakfast began with fruit and yogurt. The main course consisted of sausage patties and orange croissant French toast. It was delicious! Monica and Rock are gracious hosts who have created a warm, comfortable Inn filled with great conversation and top notch breakfasts. They also offer spot on recommendations for dining and activities. To top it all off, The White Cedar Inn is one block away from the outlet shops and the LL Bean flagship store. Thank you Monica and Rock for your hospitality and the great conversations.
