White Diamond Diner

I recently stopped by Fern's White Diamond on E Grand St, and wow, what a fantastic experience! This cozy diner has that classic vibe with super friendly staff who make you feel right at home. I ordered the sausage, eggs, and potatoes with peppers and onions – it was absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, with the peppers and onions adding that perfect zing. My friend went for the corn arepa, and they raved about how fresh and flavorful it was, with a nice golden crust and authentic taste. The portions are generous, prices are super reasonable, and everything came out hot and fast. If you're in Elizabeth and craving some hearty breakfast or comfort food, this spot is a must-visit. Five stars all the way – we'll definitely be back!

I've been going here for years I'm over 40 and the food was amazing when I first started coming there and the food is still amazing

The food at this diner is prepared with love. I felt like my grandma made this omelette. I appreciate the generous portion size and the fact that it was packed with fresh vegetables. The price is very cheap per person for this quality of food. If you will be in Elizabeth, visit this diner.

It's been awhile being here , but I can'tstop thinking on how good their famous burgers & fries were . I had ordered 2 large cheeseburgers & fries All came $12.00 with lettuce+ tomato . Yes it's the Famous White Diamond in a conspicuous spot. Doesn't even look like a real one , but that's the beauty of it. Their fries were golden, brown Delicious If there was one drawback , they close at 03:00pm. Diner like atmosphere with old time stools at counter or a table with service.

Maryluz is an amazing owner and naydu is very friendly, the food is delicious.

Very dissatisfied with this place. Husband and I have eaten here for years. Only recently have we really noticed the waitress's work ethic. On our last two occasions we observed a group of emergency personnel come in and sit down at a table just before we placed our order. Then the waitress would take their order after a few minutes of taking ours. But, for some reason, their table of four seemed to get their food before the two of us. We still had to wait a few minutes. Not just once, but twice. We never really noticed before. Why is it that police and fire fighters get special treatment? Yes, some of them work hard, but so do we. Who knows, maybe there's a special code the waitress and cook use on order sheets that bumps the emergency personnel orders to the front of the line. Not only that, but the last time we were there, the waitress didn't even come around to check on any of the tables. Not once. So, no tip. Do a good job, get tipped accordingly. It's not mandatory to tip. That's just a suggestion for good service. We paid our bill and left. We will not be going back here to spend our hard earned money for second rate service. I hope the owners of this place read these reviews and make some changes. We'll never know because we will never spend another cent here. Too bad because the food was decent.

Great Cheeseburgers & French Fries is they're known for . Very Good > They even asked me how I wanted my burger cooked , I always ask for medium rare. Their fries were real & delicious 😋 The only bad thing here is they close at 3:00pm So get there early.

I enjoy eating here with my grandchildren ,they make the California burgers with bacon wow! Delicious and their fries are so crispy, very clean, family environment,good prices and excellent service I Highly recommend it .

Pretty good diner and very clean. It's ran by Spanish people and they do a good job keeping it fresh. The cheeseburger special is great as is breakfast. They are cheap and you get good food. Not a fancy joint, but def worth hitting up.

I found Fern's White Diamond in a map search of nearby diners while visiting a friend in Elizabeth. I see the review rating and just had to check it out for myself. The rating was spot on, friendly staff, clean establishment and great fresh food.

Well Guys I was recommended this place by my fellow blues. It is awesome. I love the service and the Owner Cooks the food right in front of you. he is super fast and very experienced. Doesn't even need to write the order down. wohoo!!! The ladies are spanish and very pleasant to be around. Asking if I'm ok, not rushing me... Very nice... Their eggs are so fluffy!!! The corn Beef Hash is cooked just right and my wheat toast couldn't be better. Even though there is a lot of people here, The two woman manage the place very well. And? Every one knows them by name and everyone is smiling!!! I don't cook at home, so I usually eat out. I am Deff coming back here when I am in town again.

This place is for real. We've been in the NYC metro area for 3 days, and our breakfast here was the best meal we've eaten. And let's talk economics - you get a lot of bang for your buck - a FANTASTIC bargain!

Stopped in here before my scheduled court appearance and the service and food were both amazing. Small diner compared to what I'm used to in NYC but excellent none the less. I had the pancake and eggs breakfast special and it was worth every penny. Def a great place to enjoy a quiet breakfast.

Everything was excellent from the service to the food. I ordered a deluxe cheeseburger with fries and the quality was great. You can't go wrong with this place.

I'm staying in New York for a couple of days for my daughter's birthday was looking for a New Jersey diner to have some breakfast with the family found this place on yelp. The only thing I can say is wow wow! Friendly staff food prepared right in front of you love the food very inexpensive! Please come visit when in Elizabeth NJ

I went to this diner back in the 80s when it was Garys. I finally got back there in the early summer of 2015. I mentioned to them that I was at Garys years ago and even had their original business card. Gave it to the owner as a souvenir. There's an old saying that you can't go back. Well I did and I'm glad I did. It's a nice place with good food and very good staff. I like diners and have been to lots of them in North America. Fern's is one of the best I have been to. I'm not taking another 30 years to get back there - I'm heading back early summer.

I've only been here a couple of times so far but find it a very friendly place. They remember you when you walk in which I found surprising but it's a nice feeling. I usually order the Fern's special which is fresh and delicious (bacon cheeseburger and fries). Have yet to try other things on the menu.

Everything is made with care and just excellent! Their Sancocho soup is wonderful and their Cuban Sandwiches are the BEST I have ever had!!! From breakfast foods to dinner plates.... EXCELLENT!
