"An Asheville staple, White Duck Taco Shop has multiple locations between downtown and the riverfront. The straightforward menu will please and accommodate carnivores and herbivores alike. Apart from typical taco combinations, White Duck tacos have internationally influenced flavors like the Banh Mi Tofu or Korean Beef Bulgogi and house kimchi. Take your time with the chalkboard menu. Everything will sound tempting." - MATADOR_NETWORK

A local recommended this place and it was rated high in reviews. And we agree! Loved the tacos and the environment. Delicious unique flavors and so filling! Highly recommend. I had the shrimp and fish tacos and the Zorba. And we kept the fun cup for a souvenir!

Great lunch option. The tacos were yummy and the casual setting made for an easy in and out experience. They stay pretty crowded but we had no trouble getting a table. The steak and befall tacos were my favorite!

Great tacos and great experience. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We got the chips and salsa trio and ordered five different tacos just to try as much as we could. Top two were the Pork Belly Taco (phenomenal) and the Bangkok Shrimp Taco. I also really liked the Steak & Cheese Taco. The Zorba (Greek) Taco is great if you don’t want meat, it was like eating a Gyro on a corn tortilla. Very good. Highly recommend, would go back again.

A must-visit every time I'm in Asheville. Affordable and delicious lunch spot! There isn't much seating, but it's worth the wait. It's not your typical restaurant where you have a server. Orders are taken at the counter/register and then brought out to your table. Soda fountain cups are recycled aluminum, making the drinks extra cold!

Taco places are pretty common, but have you ever had a falafel taco? White duck taco isn’t your standard taco place in the best of ways. They aren’t afraid to expand the basic taco, with options like Thai chicken peanut butter, pork belly with watermelon and as mentioned, falafel tacos. The classics are also present and I would highly recommend the black bean taco for the deliciousness. And these aren’t tiny little street tacos. They are packed chock full of delicious and fresh toppings. Such a wonderful local spot for a fun and flavorful food.

Run don’t walk! I know people love the food in Asheville in general. But this is truly the chillest and best! Typically on a weekend trip to Asheville we will be here at least 2x. All locations are great. The vibes are good and the space is super clean. Check out the back patio downtown! You can’t go wrong on your choices here.

So let’s start this review with saying, they are POPULAR! We got there when they opened and there was instantly a line. And there was a long line during our entire time eating, so if you plan to go keep that in mind. Now I looooove me a good taco and these are pretty good. My favorite place is still DGT in Colorado, but this spot has looooots of options and are vegetarian friendly! We were able to make substitutions for any meat taco with jackfruit. We ordered the Mexican street corn, watermelon with mint, cherry wine slushee (non-alcoholic), banh mi grilled tofu, Bangkok shrimp (subbed with jackfruit), zorba falafel, chicken tikka masala (subbed with jackfruit), and Thai peanut chicken (subbed with jackfruit), and the chocolate pot de creme. The street corn was very bland - I don’t recommend. The watermelon with mint was delicious, but I love watermelon! The Bangkok shrimp was my favorite next to the zorba taco. I loved the seasoning and balance of flavors. There was an issue with our Thai peanut chicken (they gave us chicken)… so we did have to send it back and they quickly prepared a new one. The chocolate dessert was soooooo dense and rich, I’d skip unless you really have a sweet tooth. Overall really good spot for some unique tacos!

Went today and was disappointed. The tacos tasted average at best—ingredients were clearly pre-prepared, not fresh or warm. Service was generally good, but being asked for a tip felt a bit awkward—we usually tip anyway. Tried five tacos: pork belly, Bangkok shrimp, tikka masala, Zorba, and Thai peanut. None stood out. The tortillas were cold. The pork belly lacked seasoning and warmth—maybe leftovers from earlier in the day? Bangkok shrimp had decent flavor but the shrimp pieces were tiny, mostly just fried bits. The tikka masala wasn’t fusion—just a cold Indian dish in a tortilla.
