Stunning location, overlooking the beach and the waves. The place has a nice vibe, despite being a busy spot. It serves a really good shakshuka, and I always have it whenever I go there. 😊 Coffee is highly recommended whenever you go there.

They have just opened for the evening, 5pm to sunset - summer only. We got the Squid salad which comes with chilli jam and a Fish burger. The proportions were great, very filling. The squid batter was nice and salty and went great with the jam, fish burger was delicious with a nice piece of fish. It is currently 24 degrees and 7pm at night, watching the golden sunset and protected by the wind. The view is unbeatable and its not crowded or busy. BYO

White Elephant Café is one of those hidden gems that offers the ideal blend of breathtaking views, superb coffee, and a serene ambiance. Nestled in a stunning location, this café stands out not only for its picturesque surroundings but also for the quality of its offerings and its overall charm. My recent morning visit here was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we arrived, the café’s ambiance made a lasting impression. We were greeted by the sight of a spacious outdoor seating area with panoramic views, making it an ideal spot to unwind and soak in the natural beauty of the surroundings. The air was fresh and crisp, adding to the overall sense of relaxation and calm that enveloped the place. Even though it was a popular spot and there were many people around, the atmosphere remained peaceful, making it perfect for a leisurely morning. The coffee was absolutely excellent—beautifully brewed, rich, and aromatic. It was clear that the baristas are skilled and passionate about their craft, as every cup was meticulously prepared and served with a smile. We paired our coffee with some of the freshly baked pastries, and they were divine. There was an impressive variety of bakery items to choose from, each more tempting than the last. The croissants were flaky and buttery, the muffins moist and flavorful, and the selection of cakes looked straight out of a gourmet bakery. Overall, White Elephant Café provides a holistic experience for anyone seeking a morning escape from the usual hustle and bustle. The stunning view, excellent coffee, and wide range of delicious baked goods make it a must-visit. I highly recommend stopping by early in the day to fully appreciate its tranquil atmosphere and to enjoy a refreshing start to your day. Looking forward to returning soon!

Google
Brilliant cafe with great views and friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious - perhaps even our favourite of our five day trip. We had the smashed avacado and sour dough with poached eggs and avacado. Both were delicious. Coffee and hot chocolate were also good. Outside searing available with great views, right on the beach.

Google
Great place with ab amazing view right next to the beach. Rosie wrap and chicken bruger is great. Fish and chips only 1 fish for 27 dollars. quite expensive. Chips weren't great tasting. Overall nice place.

Google
Great location, a tour group came in just after we had ordered, they were served first, by the time our food came out it was a little cool

When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly bar tender who instantly set the vibe. The Wood fired pizzas are top tier and the cocktails are glorious. Highly recommend their spicy margs.

Google
Pumping venue. Was a wedding guest at a wedding here and was incredibly impressed with how busy the cafe was during the day and that they were able to turn it around so quickly to a stunning venue for the afternoon. ended up being ritual morning coffee spot. good coffee, great food!

Yelp
What a location - overlooking the beach & out to sea. Coffee & food was great though you might have to wait to get a front row seat. We even spotted some whales while were there.

Yelp
Have to give this place 5 stars. Loved visiting here, drinking coffee and eating their delicious cakes. Lots more on the menu too. Wonderful location. Views of the ocean to die for. Atmosphere, food and drink first rate. I had the impression that everyone here had found a hidden treasure.

Yelp
The White Elephant Beach Cafe is located in Gnarabup, a short ten minute drive from the center of Margaret River. It's owned by the same people who operate local favourite cafe / restaurant / bar Morries Anytime. Our visit was in late November last year on the Saturday morning of the Margaret River Gourmet Escape weekend. We arrived at the advertised opening time of 7:30, and so had plenty of others, so there was quite a queue but thankfully the staff were prepared and things moved quickly. A little surprisingly, many of the people in the queue were at the beach surfing / partaking in other healthy beach-related activities. It's quite disconcerting to hear a group of guys talking about yoga while you're queuing for breakfast, especially before you've had a coffee. By the time we sat down to eat, the cafe was well and truly inundated with visiting foodies (damn tourists!) There is some inside seating - it's a surprisingly large cafe - but most of the seats & tables are outside, and with such a view why would you want to be anywhere else? It was a little breezy but you can't have everything. The view over Gnarabup Bay is simply magnificent. Food is brought to your table, however you have to collect your coffee from a window on the left side of the cafe which is a bit odd but there you go. You get one of those handy electronic buzzers to tell you when it's ready, which was a good thing on this busy morning as it took a little while. I was in serious need of a good coffee - to fight both the breeze and mild sleep deprivation - and thankfully I wasn't disappointed. Given the sheer volume of coffees they were producing, this was quite an impressive effort. Renay chose the brekkie burger ($14) - toasted brioche bun with crispy bacon, egg, Swiss cheese, garlic aioli & smoked tomato relish. This was as good as it looked, decadent and delicious. The brioche in particular was of excellent quality, and the melty swiss cheese added flavour and texture you don't normally get in a bacon & egg burger. There's also a vegetarian version that substitutes the bacon with avocado (also $14). Other breakfast items include smoked salmon with 64 degree egg, pickled beetroot, frisee salad and sourdough toast ($23), sweetened quinoa with apple & coconut water, strawberry, almonds, buckwheat & mint salad ($17) and grilled polenta with wild mushrooms, kale & truffle oil ($18). You can also get good old eggs on toast ($12) with extras, or a "big brekkie" for $23. I chose one of the more unusual options - brioche french toast with lemon curd, mint meringue, toasted poppy seeds & strawberries ($19). It looked quite spectacular on the plate, but unfortunately didn't deliver the "wow" moment I was hoping for. The poppy seeds are the obvious element of controversy - they didn't really detract from the dish but they didn't add anything either, apart from the need for a toothpick. The dots of curd provided small but effective pockets of flavour, the French toast - being made from the same brioche as the burger - was very good, however I couldn't taste any mint in the meringue and was left wondering if there is a comma missing from the menu. We really enjoyed our breakfast, and will definitely be going back the next time we are in Margaret River. It's the kind of place that could serve average fare and trade purely on its location, but they've made the effort to serve decent coffee and produce a menu with some interesting items, as well as favourites that will please anyone. In saying that, I probably wouldn't return for the food alone but as a dining experience it's pretty spectacular.

Yelp
After being away for a few weeks doing my Leyland's Brothers impression on air planes both abroad and interstate, I organised a weekend away down to Margaret River with my girlfriend. It had been a few years since I'd headed down that way to do anything else aside from fishing and it was a nice surprise to see how much it'd had changed and grown. During our stay we made the quick venture and walked down from the local Margaret's Beach Resort to Gnarabup Beach to the White Elephant Beach Cafe for a quick bite to eat. Although a little windy on the day it was awesome to watch the waves come rolling in and smell the fresh sea air. With eating on our mind we had the special of a bacon and eggs on a brioche roll and added some hash browns. All was on point and they even made a concession for my girlfriend who is pregnant (yayyy!) to cook the egg until well done. Caz said she thoroughly enjoyed her coffee too. The service was good and so was the food and so much so we ended up going back there the next day for exactly the same brekky. The only thing I'd recommend is that you take a jacket if the day is a little cool or windy if you still want to sit outside but there's a sheltered section there to escape the wind. Cheers! Dave

Yelp
Went here on the weekend, and recommend it if not for the view alone! Great coffee and food. I had the mushrooms and added some poached eggs. Right on the beach, cant get any better. Then stroll up the hill to overlook the stunning Gnarabup coast line. With the extension/reno they can cater for weddings too which is fab!

Yelp
Suggested by a friend and what a location! They can serve anything they want and people will still come just for the scenery! It seemed to be very popular among surfing crowd because of the waves on offer. They have inside and outside seating options but it's all about enjoying the view so no point sitting indoors. You can order at the counter and food will be brought to the table. They do nice and hearty lunch and coffee is amazing too. This place is pet friendly as well. Five stars all the way!

Yelp
In the summertime...and now the wintertime! Love the new fit out at White Elephant, meaning we can now enjoy breakfast and lunch by the beach in the warmth and comfort (by a fire!) of their new indoor extension! Beaut coffee, a breakfast menu to remember and a fun and hip place to hang out. I'm a regular old Elephant, we don't forget anything and especially not the food, I mean good, things!!!!

Yelp
Friendly service, great breakfast menu, good coffee, all overlooking Gnarabup Beach on the coast by Margaret River. Full harvest breakfast was excellent, and the Follow-up Blueberry Muffin was truly wonderful, baked to perfection.

Yelp
Unbeatable view with good food. Gourmet canteen style food. The cafe is right on the water.

Yelp
Cheapest breakfast joint in all of Margaret River, and by cheap, I mean under $20. And with that brekkie comes the best view - Prevelly Beach, home of the Margaret River Pro Surfing comp !! The drive down to White Elephant Beach Cafe is one of the most scenic drives on the west coast and highly recommend it. The vibe at this cafe is super casual - surfboards lined up along the wall, surfers getting their shot of caffeine and a hit of protein before they head home for the morning - whats not to love about this place?

Mrs B.

Yelp
I was really disappointed with the white elephant. It was recommended to us by the resort behind- told to flash our room key to receive the delux breakfast for $15 rather than the usual $22. Sounded like a sweet deal! Instead of a hearty treat holiday breakfast however, I had a plate of 2 slices dry Un-buttered toast with a small slice of tomato, eggs and bacon. I'm not a snob- but this was really really unimpressive. At least ask patrons if they would like butter on their dry-as-hell toast. And don't make a bit of tomato sauce an extra $1.50 guys!! Come on!!! That's just bloody unAustralian!!! With so many other awesome places only a short drive away and at much better value I really can't recommend this place for a feed. For a coffee while checking out the awesome beach below- sure.

Yelp
We love this café. The location is superb. We also love their coffee and muffins. We always visit when in town.

Yelp
I ate here two days in a row, and only stayed in Prevelly two days- yes it was that good. I ordered the smoked salmon/grapefruit/lemon ricotta dish, it was so light and refreshing! The flat whites= amazing. And the view?!?!?! You can't beat it. There are tables in shade, or in sun. Opt for the benches overlooking the beach. It can't get any better than this folks! I hope in my lifetime I can come back and eat here again- it's a shame I live so far away in Texas :)

Alina N.

Yelp
We ordered toast with the wild mushroom combo with melted fontina cheese and coffee. It was a great breakfast - very flavorful and amazing. The view is amazing - the café is on the beach and you can see the ocean and it is just so so so beautiful.

Yelp
Possibly the best located beachside cafe I have ever been to. The coffee and cake are good too!!

Stacey N.

Yelp
This is THE spot to be in summer. And you'll need to get in early as it gets packed very quickly. The cafe sits in a prime position right on the beach. There's a long pathway along the beach that takes about 20 minutes to walk. Or there's many areas you can sit on the sand and enjoy the sunshine. It's also a great spot for a swim or a paddle board. But if eating is more your thing, the food is delicious too!
