Great place to get some tamales. Only food they have is tamales but they are great and the owner has a lot of historical knowledge and is a treat to talk to. Grabbed some to go and will be back any time I'm in the area. Place is cash only so be sure to grab some before you go..

We visited White Front Cafe Joe's Hot Tamale Place this summer on our 3rd Mancation (a vacation to visit the Mississippi Blues markers and hear some tunes without our spouses (because they didn't want to come, despite being asked nicely) and got lucky enough to finally arrive when they were open! The tamales were excellent and the woman who helped us was wonderful! She told us the stories of the people who were pictured on the wall while we ate. We had ordered a bunch to just be good polite and say we had done it, but then ordered another bunch more! This is well worth the trip to Rosedale, Mississippi! Crank up the Robert Johnson and order twice as many as you think, because you'll want more! Most excellent addition to any adventure!

A wonderful coworker named Eddie had several dozen (if not hundred) of these hot tamales frozen and delivered to Chicago. I have never had a hot tamale like this before... He brought me some multiple times from home and I could not get enough. I'll definitely be calling in to see if I can have some shipped to Chicago!

If you are traveling in the Mississippi Delta, don't miss the Delta's best tamales. Best I can tell, tamales are the only item on the menu. Beautifully wrapped and tied. Bring your pot so you can take some home with broth.

The best tamale I've ever had. Got a dozen to go. Got home wished I had bought 10 dozen. We will go back soon. It might be a little out of the way, but worth every mile.

Guess that's your place if you like hand rolled tamales, this is your place. Authentic and friendly owner. Not your typical restaurant experience (in case that's what you are looking for). Enjoy the food if you are in that area.

Visited White Front Cafe today as we were passing through Rosedale. Simple, authentic one (small) room restaurant that focuses on one thing: tamales. And they are done well!! Barbara, the owner and cook, is charming and welcoming...and her tamales are delicious! Definitely worth a stop.

Old but good cafe. Just take out.only complaint is that the proprietors aren't reliably there. They work on a hit or miss schedule so don't be surprised if the place is closed when you get there.

Tamales are excellent here and the lady that runs it is just as sweet as she can be... a dozen tamales for $10 ain't bad at all in my book

Wonderful folks and great tamales made the old fashioned way. A beautiful slice of the way things used to be.
