White Hart Inn

This is a proper local pub / inn, not flashy or pretentious, just good quality at a great price. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of our room, which was clean and well prepared. The staff were really helpful and welcoming. The food was excellent, plenty of it and very reasonably priced. It's a 15 mins stroll into the town, so well located too. If you're looking for somewhere to stay with character where you can have a beer with local people then I'd definitely recommend the White Hart.

Chased 4 times now for an invoice for our stay 20/01-21/01, which we require as a business and they have failed to provide. Contact number is a mobile that doesn't answer most of the time, no response by email or via booking.com. Did get through on the phone once, they said they would send but again failed to. Sadly we won't be staying again due to this, and they don't have their VAT number displayed on website either.

Lovely little place! Did a proper last minute booking, staff really happy to help. Very decent pint of Guinness, and not badly priced either (£8.60 for pint Guinness and pint madri). Great bar, nice local vibe to it. Plenty to look at, good character! Rooms basic but homely, everything worked fine and rooms were quiet. Breakfast decent! Freshly cooked, lots of toast 😄

Nice food, nice staff, decent service and open every day for lunch which is not usual in that area.

Welcomed from the start very friendly only to willing to meet our needs, the food was excellent, the breakfast was first class. The rooms were neat and tidy with everything you needed slightly dated buildings. Parking was no problem with plenty of spaces.

We were staying nearby, we are not locals and came here for a couple of drinks and meal. Initially we were in the bar, traditional dated bar with 80 music in the background. There was . a friendly feel, with the chaps in the bar. We then the the restaurant area, completely different feel back to 2024, food was really nice and reasonable prices. We would recommend both sides of the pub. The lady manger/ owner friendly and pleasant. We would recommend

A bit tired in places and the bar was closed when we returned before 11pm which was disappointing but we were grateful to the guests enjoying a function that enabled us to join them in an adjacent bar. Food was excellent I loved the double burger. Staff very nice too but rooms and doors etc have seen better days. Reasonable value non the less and clean also.

I have celiacs and ordered the vegetable curry with butternut squash and spinach - which was gluten free. The chicken curry and Chilli were also gluten free available options when I was ordering. I also ordered water, ginger beer, lemon roulade with cream. The lemon curd in the roulade was beautifully balanced and smooth. Disabled bathroom and 1 stall in womens. Step down from bar to Restaurant if you enter that way. There is another door with a slope that goes past the bathrooms if you sre disabled and want to eat in the restaurant. I paid by card. Outdoor and indoor seating.  They also own an inn next door - I didn't stay there so I cannot review it. I felt comfortable in the pub part of the establishment that I wouldn't mind giving the inn a try in the future.
