This place is awesome! The service, food, drinks, and atmosphere are all amazing. I was surprised how roomy it is inside, with lots of seating options. The drink menu is extensive, and they have a fun option for a bartender to make a custom drink with your favorite ingredients. The food was phenomenal. We had crispy brussel sprouts to start, Wagyu beef, and crab cakes. I don't have enough words to describe how delicious everything was. Oh, and chocolate lava cake for dessert! Well definitely visit again.

food quality: 5/5 service: 5/5 cleanliness: 5/5 value: 4/5 Don’t skip on: The Fried Brussel Sprouts! First time to White Horse and it was a wonderful experience! Reservations are. A must since this place is so popular and space fills up quickly. Bar seating is first come first serve, which is another option if you don’t get a reservation made in time. My table and I tried several different items including: fries, fried brussel sprouts, clam chowder (with real clams), duck breast, Croque Madame, Mac and Cheese, Bacon cheeseburger, and the grilled gem salad. Everything turned out so delicious! There is also a very extensive menu of liquors, beers, and wine to choose from. I’m super surprised at the variety that they carry! Be prepared for a HUGE menu to read through! Prices were a bit on the higher end, but not extreme overboard. The restaurant staff was very attentive and welcoming, and the restaurant itself was clean and presentable. Can wait to go back and try more!

Top 10 restaurant in Salt Lake City. They deserve this. Ribs was amazing and not small as it is written 😉. If you never tried Brussels and you only remember this vegetable from school than you should give them the chance to show you other side of this green vegetable 😍. I can highly recommend this place.

Awesome experience! The hostess was fantastic about getting us seated without a reservation and a packed house. We sat at the bar. Super interesting menu. French onion soup was great (not overly salted). Order the egg n’ chips! The bartenders and servers were extremely attentive and friendly.

Awesome bar with an incredible burger. We ate at the bar as tables can be hard to come by. The egg and chips were so unique and good! The showstopper was the bacon cheeseburger. No gimmicks, no crazy sauce or anything. Just every element of the burger cranked up to the highest level. Beef was delicious, juicy, flavorful, and the main event, as it should be. Great bun. Homemade pickles, great cheese and the bacon was crispy, smoky, and so good. As good of a bacon cheeseburger as can really exist as every element was delicious. Obviously I highly recommend it. Can't wait to try other items on the menu.

Someone please open a White Horse near me! We were in town for a business conference and decided to walk over from our hotel—what a pleasant surprise! My friend’s boyfriend, who was all the way in Illinois, actually found this spot for us while we were getting ready. I had no idea what we were walking into, but wow—how beautiful it is. Five stars to White Horse, and five stars to Cody (friend’s boyfriend MVP). We started off with coffee, and let me tell you—the cups were generous and the coffee was just right. Not too strong, not too weak. Most places serve coffee that tastes like brown water, but this was actual quality. I almost ordered the duck (it looked amazing), but since it was my first meal of the day, I went with the grilled cheese. No regrets there—it was massive and incredible. The server was totally on my wavelength. He asked if I wanted to add bacon—well yes sir, I absolutely do. And then… they grilled the bread in cheese. I had never even thought of that before, and now I can’t imagine making grilled cheese any other way. Game. Changed. I also ordered a mimosa and explained how I like it (basically champagne with a whisper of juice). The server totally got it—he even brought the champagne and juice separately so I could mix it just how I like. I’m a girl, so obviously I loved having the control. Aside from the food and drinks, the ambiance was perfect. The seats were comfy, the decor was upscale but welcoming, and everything just felt thoughtfully done. Perfection.

White Horse is first and foremost a cocktail bar. They have a great collection of house designed cocktails as well as classics. I was only there for lunch, so our experience may not necessarily be representative of the food options. That being said, I had the patty melt. It was a perfectly cooked burger topped with caramelized onions, gruyere cheese, and Russian dressing. It was delicious! So was the Reuben. The salmon was perfectly cooked as well. This is a casual place, and it is close to the Salt Lake City Convention Center. I highly recommend it!

Had an amazing brunch at White Horse Spirits & Kitchen in downtown SLC on Saturday. We went after hitting up the Farmer’s Market, and arrived around 11:30a. There was no wait and several open tables. Our waiter was amazing, demonstrating excellent knowledge of the menu and offering several recommendations based on our food preferences. I cannot speak highly enough about the eggs Benedict! It was served atop a homemade biscuit (light and fluffy!), with thin sliced ham pillowed on and perfectly poached eggs. The accompanying potatoes were very flavorful and not dry. Of note, the pastrami eggs benedict was also highly recommended by our waiter. They make their pastrami in house. That’ll be on my list to try next time! The Bloody Mary was on the spicy side but also delicious. HIGHLY recommend White Horse weekend brunch!!!
