I booked two nights, then ended up staying four more nights. The rooms were good overall, a bit small for a solo traveler, but nonetheless comfortable. The staff is AMAZING. They resolved any request and gave helpful advice. The location is average — it’s walkable to Sule Pagoda by about 15 minutes. ||All of the utilities worked fine, though there are no elevators. WiFi was strong enough to make video calls and stream Youtube. The bed was comfortable, there are no safes, but you can keep valuables in a locker in the lobby. Housekeeping was daily, the hotel throughout, including the rooms were visibly clean.||There is a restaurant/cafe on the main floor, this was extremely useful on rainy days. The prices there were also cheap. ||Overall, for the price of the hotel, the value is GREAT. I recommend this place, and I will not hesitate to book again if I return to Yangon.

I chose the White House Hotel based on what I read in a guide book, and I’m really happy with the choice. I stayed here for three days, and was so well cared for. My bargain room had everything I needed (WiFi, a door, a bed, bottled water, access to a shared bathroom) at a great price, right near attractions and public transportation. The staff, however, made my stay worth five stars. I can’t remember any other lodging offering such kindness and generosity. They were so ready with advice, guidance, tips, and always seemed to anticipate my needs. Terrific!||Plus, tasty breakfast was included!

We stayed 4 night at White house hotel. |First thing you need to know, it's completely renovated . The lobby and breakfast area are super clean. |The rooms as well are very clean , of course it's small and there is no window ... but remember how much you pay . |The breakfast is good : mix of buffet + choice of one dish ( fried rice or fried noodle , scrambled eggs ... ) , real coffee , local pastries , fruits , bread and jam .|The location is perfect as well , you can easily walk to great indian restaurants and nearby attractions.|Most important thing : the staff is super friendly and helpful . Special mention to the girl at the front office desk with perfect english and great advices. If you are not looking for luxury but clean, friendly and affordable place , I would recommend White house with no hesitation.

We love this place. One of the oldest backpacker guesthouses in Bagan. If your expectations are laxe and your knees can handle 5 or 6 flights of steps, the rooms on the top are well worth it. Easy, friendly vibe. Safe and tranquil, in a convenient location to walk around and get great Indian food and easy access to the market. We stay in the "City View Room". Go to the little tiny roof garden to enjoy cool evening breezes after a shower. We will stay here again.

I have stayed here 4 times now and each time in a different type of room. They have the cheapest private rooms in downtown and they are all quirky and cool. The hotel has 10 floors with a rooftop garden and hammocks up top. Some of the rooms are a little damp, but just check the room first, the friendly staff are happy for you to pick from the large number of rooms.

Stayed in a double room with a/c at a reasonable price for 2 good nights sleep. Has good wifi, for the Burmese standard, and the buffet breakfast has a couple of winners. The best part of this hotel is the man who works at the front desk. He is extremely helpful with local advice about Yangon and also surrounding areas of more mass tourism (Inle Lake etc.) and also was one the nicest front men I've had the pleasure of meeting. Thank you White House Hotel

I originally booked for three nights , and booked 5 extra nights.||The rooms were small, but COMFORTABLE, the breakfast for a vegan was simple but adequate, and the staff were superb. They always went out of there way to be helpful. If ever I returned to Yangon I would not hesitate to book here again.||NO lift but willing helpers to take ones case up stairs.

Positive: The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel was well located. Negative: The room had a strong smell of dampness, as well as the rest of the street, maybe due to the raining season. Breakfast was a bit poor and not varied at all.
