White Mountain National Forest

Great spot to camp at, they have different locations with how secluded you want to be. I thought that was great since it was my wife's first time coming. We didnt pick anything too secluded, next time we come back we will be choosing a more remote site for sure. The views are stunning and people are friendly.

If you're a nature lover, hiker, or just looking for breathtaking scenery, this is the perfect destination. As a novice hiker, I was blown away by the numerous trails and stunning waterfalls. The staff at the visitor center were super friendly, and I even spotted some wildlife. The Kancamagus Highway is a must-drive, with plenty of photo ops and scenic stops. Absolutely stunning! Just be careful on the slippery rocks!

WMNF - God's Country. Period. Some of the most beautiful sites in America. The White Mountain National Forest (WMNF) spans New Hampshire and Maine, offering year-round recreation like hiking (including the Appalachian Trail), scenic drives (Kancamagus Highway), camping, and winter sports (skiing, snowmobiling) across its 800,000 acres, featuring New England's highest peaks, diverse wildlife, and designated wilderness areas, managed by the U.S. Forest Service for both conservation and timber, not as a National Park.

Great place for hiking and observing fall leaf color change in New Hampshire. There are several spots along the main road to park, observe or hike. Our particular favorite was the Sabady Falls hike. Sabbaday Falls is a popular, easily accessible 35-foot, three-tiered waterfall in the White Mountains National Forest, New Hampshire, located just off the scenic Kancamagus Highway. Visitors can walk a short, well-maintained, crushed-gravel path from the parking area to the falls, which features a boardwalk, steps, and viewing bridges to see the different stages of the waterfall. The trail is family-friendly and offers a clear, lower pool, though swimming is prohibited.

Some of the most beautiful scenes in the world. The wildlife is amazing. I only saw a few animals on my trip.

Beautiful Place! Water running down directly from the mountain. There is a nice Basin area that you can get into the COLD mountain water if you dare!

Absolutely gorgeous place to visit during fall foliage. I got to see some of the great fall colours that I haven’t seen anywhere else in the country. Must visit spot if you are living in nearby states. Although some scenic spots get too crowded during peak colors.

Truly beautiful. You feel like you’re out west at times. Wonderful trails, beautiful camping, waterfalls, lakes, beaches, fishing, biking, everything.
