"Coffee by the Bay Every once in a while, you happen on a place so lovely and twee, you just want to keep it all for yourself. But since that's not possible, it being a public place and all, you may as well share the joy. And so I introduce to you White Mulberries coffee shop, a sweet spot tucked away on St. Katharine Dock, just nearby Tower Bridge. If you're looking for a place for a quick bite or to refuel with a jolt of java after touring the Tower of London , pass by the nearby Starbucks and head here. Get takeaway or stay awhile to read the papers. Sip Americano after Americano, while watching the water and those walking by it. With croissant sandwichs filled with jam and brie, artwork that says "Money Can't Buy Happiness, But it Can Buy Tea and That's Kinda the Same Thing," you'll never want to leave. And why should you?"

Interesting café in the port. Breakfast was hazelnut pastry and a small latte, which was quite good, although a bit overpriced. The girls there served me very well and quite quickly. The views from there are very nice. It's a shame you can't see the tower bridge directly.

While making my way to Tower Bridge, I decided to take a little detour after spotting some boats docked nearby. As I wandered around, I figured I’d look for a place to grab a coffee, and that’s how I ended up here. Walking in, I noticed how small the café was, but so are the other businesses next to it. The size wasn’t a problem at all, though. In fact, I liked it. It felt snug and personally quite comfy. When I went to order, the staff were having a bit of friendly banter while working, clearly trying to keep the mood light and have a laugh together. It added a nice vibe, especially with the sunny, hot weather and customers enjoying themselves outside. I ordered two caramel lattes, and one of the staff (I think!) asked if I wanted cake or maybe something with custard. I wasn’t really craving anything sweet, so I passed, but seeing other people tucking into their slices, it did look pretty tasty. Can’t rate it since I didn’t try it, though. As I got my lattes and went to put the lids on myself (they seemed to leave them off to show off the latte art, mine had a heart and a flower), one of the baristas noticed me taking pictures. He asked if I wanted to take a shot of the next one he was making since he had a fancier design planned. I appreciated it, but I didn’t want to hang around too long or get in the way, so I moved on. Nothing against him, he was super friendly and just excited to show off his work 🙌 With both lattes in hand, I continued my walk. The combo of a hot sunny day and a good coffee (not sure if those go hand-in-hand tbh 😂) really set the mood. I felt relaxed by the docks. Now for the important part, the taste. The latte had a really nice balance. The caramel wasn’t overpowering (though personally, I wouldn’t have minded it a bit sweeter), and the smell hit me even before I brought it up to my face, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, it tasted great. The only downside? Price. I’ve had lattes from other cafés nearby that were just as good but a bit cheaper. This one was around £4+, while others were in the £3-£4 range. That said, considering the location, right by Tower Bridge, it actually makes sense, and honestly, I’m surprised it wasn’t priced higher. So, no real complaints there. All in all, it’s a great little spot to sit down or stroll around with a drink in hand, especially on a nice day. The inside is cosy and inviting, though it might feel cramped if it gets too busy. The staff are lovely, and the coffee’s solid. If you’re in the area and craving a good cup, definitely give it a try.

For me, the perfect weekend morning is sipping a delightful coffee while enjoying the serene marina views, paired with a delicious breakfast bowl at White Mulberries. The coffee, food, and atmosphere are consistently fantastic—simply love it!

The coffee was delicious, had the miso salmon and avocado bowl and a brownie, definitely recommend this hidden gem. + staff was extremely welcoming. Would 100% return.

This morning, I stopped by White Mulberries and tried their toasted sourdough with salmon, avocado, and an extra egg. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I really enjoyed it, though I have to admit it felt a bit pricey for what it was. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience pleasant overall. That said, the place was packed with people working on laptops, which gave it more of a co-working vibe than a cozy café feel. It’s not really what I was looking for first thing in the morning. All in all, great food and lovely service, but I’d enjoy it more if the space felt less like a workspace.

White Mulberries at St Katharine Docks is a lovely spot with great coffee, tasty pastries, amazing food options and friendly service. Perfect for a relaxing break by the water. Highly recommend!

Google
I always enjoy coming here on a spring afternoon. It’s often busy so expect a wait but the menu for brunch is broad - from fluffy pancakes to the filled croissants - any of which are full of flavour. The prosciutto and burrata stuff croissant is very special, so that’s highly recommended, as are the French toast options if you have the room! Service is via QR code but wait staff are very polite and helpful. Bathrooms are communal, so expect a walk and seating outside is limited (better atmosphere) but I can’t fault the food at all.

Yelp
The food and service are excellent. The coffee was delicious and I had the Truffled Bacon & Sunny Eggs Croissant with Avocado, Chilli Jam, and Parmesan for breakfast. It was fantastic, and I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
A visit to White Mulberries is a lovely start to the day. Their menu is full of healthy yet fun options like breakfast bowls and avocado toast. I went with a decadent option -- the loaded banana bread with pistachio, mascapnone, and agave. Sweet and delicious, I was full for hours. The coffee is good, and they do a little latte art (mine came with a heart). I leveraged their wifi and worked here for an hour without any disruption. You can also eat outside with the serene of the docks. I'll definitely return when visiting London again.

Yelp
Nice ambiance near the river. Acai bowl and banana bread were good but expensive for what they were (13 £ each).

Yelp
We came for brunch after going to London Tower and waiting for our time at London Bridge. The coffee and hot chocolate were delicious. The food was adventurous twists on classic coffee shop findings and delivered. Highly recommend the loaded banana breads. We got a salted carmel brownie, which we were supposed to save for later, but ate before our meal came - it was delicious. The wait for food was a little long for what felt like a coffee shop (20 minutes), but the place was super busy. If you consider the food is as high end as a sit down restaurant the wait was actually short!

Yelp
This place is a small quaint place at St Katherine docks. The view is spectacular. Their coffee was absolutely eye opening and they do make it extra hot, so happy about it. The croissant is one of the better croissants I've had in town. Wish they'd warm it without putting them in a panini press and making them flat though. The daily breakfast with hint or sriracha was absolutely wholesome. The egg was perfectly cooked and the seasoning was on point. The avocado toast was not shy of avocado for sure, loved the way they served and for sure tasted great too. Definitely recommend this place for brunch!

Yelp
The food and coffee was sensational. I loved how quaint the restaurant looked and the views of the Marina is serene. Our service was superior! I'll definitely return when visiting London again.

Yelp
This scenery was so awesome. We stopped in for breakfast and coffee before going to the Tower of London. We ordered a mocha latte with almond milk and latte with oat milk. We then ordered topless sandwiches, one was portobello mushrooms, egg, and pancetta, and the other was smoked salmon and soft cheese. The bread did not get soggy and we thoroughly enjoyed it without getting full. The customer service is on point and he made awesome suggestions. This is a definite must if you're in the area.

Yelp
Absolutely adorable little coffee shop and bakery in the St Katharine Docks, right by Tower Bridge. Beautiful sunny morning while we sat enjoying tea, coffee and a chai latte, avocado toast, bread with jam, croissants, and hearty oatmeal. When visiting London we often stay at a hotel up the street, we'll definitely keep this place in mind for next time.

Yelp
This cafe is found when searching for "Açaí Bowls". They don't have any Acai bowls or any granola with yoghurt for that matter. They didn't even know what Acai means..
google avatar

Yelp
We had very tasty "topless" sandwiches with eggs, coffee, a smoothie, and some cake on the outdoor patio. Food was a bit spendy but delicious. The view over the water is lovely and they have wifi you can use. Nice to eat away from the traffic and bustle of the city, but you can also get takeaway sandwiches.

Yelp
Lovely little cafe amongst the docks and impressive yachts. White Mulberries is a small little cafe with a display of delicious sandwiches and pastries. My friend and I both had a coffee and a really yummy chicken burger that they toasted. Food is fantastic...but don't this the prices match. All food times are prices up £2 to dine in make it very expensive. We talked about the mark up and high price for most of our lunch. Was going to have a sweet treat after though could not justify the price. Great food, beautiful location but won't be going back soon.

Yelp
I was really impressed with this place. We were walking around in the area on a whim and decided to go here for brunch without looking it up or anything. Service was a bit slow because it has a small staff and is a small space/a bit cramped but we were all really taken aback by the fun and surprising flavor combinations in the food. Everyone loved their dish. Also we got to sit at the window and had a great view of the docks. Would def go back!

Yelp
I spent a long time trying to find a good breakfast place near the Tower of London and landed on this place. The ambiance was great, but the food was pretty disappointing. My friend and I shared the acai bowl and the avocado on sourdough. They were okay. I would definitely never get the acai bowl again. There were no toppings and I guess that's what we were both expecting - there was also a huge clump of frozen something or other in our bowl. The avocado was barely ripe enough to eat, but the sauce was good. Good cappuccino but wouldn't go out of our way to get again.

Yelp
We went for breakfast one day. The location is stunning. Just a quiet little shop on a marina. The coffee was amazing. We tried some breakfast items and a smoothie too. We had zero complaints!

Yelp
Love this coffee shop, one of the best in London. It's only small but has a lovely view of St Katharine's dock with all the boats. I come here regularly because it's near to my cousin's house when I stay here. Love sitting outside in the sunshine, facing the water. Amazing custard tarts, nice selection of teas, good coffees. They also do sandwiches and a variety of pastries. Staff are always really friendly and chatty which is good. All in all a lovely spot for a quick coffee and a snack. Plus they have a sign that says 'you can't buy happiness but you can buy tea and that's kind of the same thing'.

Yelp
"Another coffee shop in east London? Zzzzz," you might say. I know, there are coffee shops popping up everywhere at the moment, but what I love about London is that there are actually a lot of GOOD ones. And White Mulberries is definitely one of them. We came here on a warm, windy Sunday afternoon. Not surprisingly, the shop was rammed with folks getting takeaways or sitting inside or outside for a coffee break. The space is tight, so I wouldn't come here expecting a seat right away. Still, people were in and out fairly quickly, so there's a chance. We ordered the iced lattes and a carrot cake. The iced lattes were some of the tastiest I've ever had, if I'm honest! Compared to other shops' versions, these were very small and therefore pricey for what they were, but damn, it was a yummy iced latte. Great kick, just the right amount of milk - everything I was hoping for. The carrot cake was yummy, but not too memorable and a little bit dry. Worth another try, though. I'll definitely be back, but this won't be a regular down to the fact that it is on the pricier side and there isn't too much room to sit down and relax. Still a nice addition to the London coffee scene!

Yelp
White Mulberries is one of the few nice places at St Kathrine's Dock and as many places in East London they do some pretty great coffee. Good espresso based beverages but more importantly some really good hand-brews and often exciting roasters like La Cabra, Drop Coffee, White Label (if you do not know these you probably do not qualify as someone interested in coffee) so nice variety from the normal ones represented in London. A bit of a shame that they use Allpress as their standard roaster but I guess some people like their coffee as well. The space is fairy small but nice to sit and look at at the docks. Free wifi is available and service is friendly so that is nice as well. Sandwiches and pastries are good but nothing to come here specifically for but if hungry you will be able to find something good.

Yelp
White Mulberries serves great coffee in a lovely little nook in St. Katharine's Dock. The prices are a bit steep but the espresso and food is high quality, making Mulberries a nice afternoon indulgence. The shop itself is quite tiny (room for about eight sitting inside and a few more outside) so this isn't your "sit on your laptop and pretend to work all day" kind of coffee shop, but it's the perfect spot to stop by for a takeaway flat white and snack. And takeaway is always preferable in such a gorgeous setting, am I right? When the weather's fine, there's nothing better than sitting out in the docks, enjoying your coffee while gazing out at the lovely yachts and sailboats you may someday be able to afford (although I might get there sooner by drinking fewer £4 coffees).

Yelp
This place is cute. I've recently started working in this area and was exploring St Katharine's docks the other day when I stumbled upon this place. It was situated in a row of cafes and sandwich shops however I liked the look of this one because all the sandwiches looked delicious! I opted for a smoked ham, chorizo, Brie and rocket baguette which they toasted for me. It was great. Soooo tasty! It's a cute little place but for my sandwich and a can of drink it came to £6 - £5 for the sandwich and £1 for the drink. I know it's London prices but I think this is going to be a treat place, not a place to go regularly to get my lunch.

Yelp
Cute little place looking over the dock and the wharf. I had a smoothie and my wife had tea. Not bad at all.

Yelp
London's best coffee shop, it says on a sign proudly displayed for all to see. It doesn't disappoint either. Good coffee. Good cakes. Good view. Good review.

Grace B.

Yelp
This is a cute coffee shop in one of my favourite places in London- St Katherine's Docks. I've had the porridge to takeaway (£3.50) and was really pleased with it- thick, piping hot porridge pot with nuts, seeds and honey. I made my own addition of blueberries too which meant it was absolutely delicious! Also I've tried the granola with yogurt and berries (£4.50 takeaway) which was nice but you get only a few berries and a tiny amount of granola, plain yogurt makes up the bulk. I was disappointed with it and wouldn't pay so much for it again. I've always been on lovely sunny days and so eat on a nearby bench- with so many places to sit I see no sense in paying the extra whopping 20% to eat in. Pastries and sandwiches look good but I'm put off by the price. I'll return on payday!

Yelp
My family and I stopped by for some hot drinks after wet walk around the Tower of London. My husband and I got macchiatos. They were quite bitter and not close to being hot. Our kids got hot chocolates and said they tasted like hot water that may have bumped against a piece of chocolate in a prior life. Service wasn't great. They were 30 min from closing and even though I told them we only wanted drinks, I still got an unwelcoming vibe.

Yelp
Awesome coffee shop located in St. Katharine's Dock. It was so tempting to stop into the cute Starbucks nearby, but I wanted to try something different and am so glad I did! I had the BEST CHAI LATTE! I thought Dishoom's would be hard to beat - but I think White Mulberrie's did it! It's perfectly creamy, spicy and sweet all at the same time. Lovely little shop!
google avatar

Yelp
Tiny little box on the dock, and very nice coffee. Service good, but of a weird layout. Banged my head on the lights hanging very low on the ceiling, can't be the first to do that! Not a lot too it, given it picked up a gong at the coffee festival was expecting a little more, having gone out of my way. Am being fussy though, nice coffee and service.

Stacey W.

Yelp
A little respite from the city. Watch the yachts floating in the harbor and drink some excellently prepared espresso along with perfect croissants. Very friendly staff. It's a small place, but does what it does perfectly.

Ben B.

Yelp
Recently visited this newly-opened coffee shop/cafe in St. Katharine's Docks (along the waterfront). Lovely little place serving Allpress-roasted coffees and a range of pastries, cakes, and home-made sandwiches. Flat white was great as was the croissant. The baked goods all looked to be high quality and not the pre-frozen variety found at many places. Complimentary water with fresh lemon and mint was a nice touch. Service was excellent. Early days but would definitely go back based on first visit.
google avatar

Paco H.

Yelp
It's a lovely little coffee shop right on the docks. Grab a cuppa and sit outside if it's nice. The coffee is tasty and their pastries are really yummy. This time of year it's worth pausing in front of the water and enjoying a good coffee.

Jane W.

Yelp
I was looking for a nice spot to work on my laptop and get some coffee. The location of this cafe is great, very peaceful and beautiful. The coffee shop itself is very small, the coffee was good but definitely overpriced. I guess it's one of the most expensive coffee shops in London. The staff is really unpleasant. I checked if they have wi-fi and I was surprised when it turned out that they don't have it.
google avatar

Yelp
A real sun trap with a lovely view of the boats, White Mulberries does fantastic coffee and has a nice laid back vibe. It can get busy, especially at lunch time, but it is well worth a visit if only for their salted caramel brownies or their gluten free orange and mandarin cake.
