This location is perfect! It is set in a beautiful, remote part of the Adirondacks and the cabins are awesome and quirky. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a great place if you’re looking for outdoor activities or want a quiet place to relax for a few days. The cabins are equipped with kitchens/kitchen supplies too. Being remote it is worth planning your food trips into town, which is about a 20-25 minute drive. Communication was great as they were very responsive via phone and email.

I stayed here through Christmas time with my partner. We stayed in Ms. Otis cabin! While our porch was shared with Guides Cabin, it still felt very private. Our stay was extremely romantic and relaxing! Cabins are very remote, which we enjoyed! Osgood Pond is gorgeous and serene, and there are plenty of trails within the area to check out. I made sure to stock up on groceries prior to checking in and I was glad I did, we didn’t want to leave the cabin at all! We found ourselves laying on the couch in front of the fireplace just relaxing for most of our trip! Cabin was well stocked with pots, pans and cooking utensils. We were provided towels and super soft bed linens as well. I was surprised to even see that our cabin was supplied with coffee and lots of books to read. There’s no television, which we knew about prior! But you truly don’t even miss having one! The WiFi was pretty decent in our cabin too. The Great Room was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the fireplace was a perfect touch! My only complaint about our cabin was that the floors were a little dusty, but there was a broom available so we just swept it up with no issues, also the pillows for the bed were a little flat for my taste. Other than that, it was a perfect little getaway. Tim Moody is an amazing Innkeeper and responds super quick to all inquiries. I truly loved my experience here and I will 100% return soon.

This is our second stay and we couldn’t be more in love with our experience. Tim the Innkeeper is available for any questions, suggestion and help with creating an amazing stay. So many options to walk around this beautiful property wether you visit in the winter or any another season. So relaxing and enchanting especially as an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Can’t wait to return. 💜

The cabin had everything we needed (except a blender, but not everyone needs one of those!). Loved the kayaks and canoes. Did wish the row boat oars were in working order. Tim was the best! Other guests were incredibly respectful and friendly. There are several nice day trip paddles from Osgood Pond. Saranac Lake (the town) isn't far and has great shops, art, and restaurants. The Paul Smith Interpretive Center is a MUST- be sure to check out the butterflies and hummingbirds. The college is awesome, as well. We ate at the cafeteria for $10- all you can eat. Very nice campus bookstore, too. It was a relaxing vacation for us girls. Highly recommended.

This property is a little like a daydream, a little like turning up in a book you were hoping to read. Everything is casual, nothing is thoughtless. Our cabin was irreproachably clean, and smelled like the woods in the best way. The decor was classic, the furnishings substantial, and the linens truly seemed luxurious. Everything was far nicer than it needs to be for a rental---this felt like staying at a relative's home because someone, somewhere, really cares about this place. The property was beautiful with lovely viewpoints and trails. Staff was friendly and helpful. For anyone concerned about the fire a few years ago, I wasn't once I got there and saw sprinklers as well as smoke alarms in every room, exit doors clearly marked, fire extinguishers, and a giant pipe outside that appears to connect to the pond. This property is very well managed and as well maintained as a historic property of this size could be--it's an impressive task. We loved our peaceful stay and I especially loved just being able to relax with two small kids knowing that the cabin was exactly the clean and comfy home away from home we needed.

This place is beautiful. The cabin rooms we stayed in were basically brand new because much of the place is recently renovated. It was cozy, warm, and extremely clean. We also had fun exploring the grounds (and older buildings) by walking around on the snowy trails. We saw the lake, boathouse, bowling alley, and tried a little ping-pong. This place would also be great in the summer.

We decided to break up winter with an "embrace the winter" retreat. This camp is the perfect place! Cozy cabins, remote setting, beautiful woods, frozen lake, close to amazing trails at the Paul Smiths Visitor Intreprive Center (Free with Camp Pass), and towns/events/restaurants of Saranac Lake and Lake Placid.||||The camp is historic, one of two camps from early 1900s open to the public in the whole ADK -- this one being simple, rustic and remote. Beautiful cabins and original great room, plus the serindipity of a magical "tea house" and rec building with 2 Lane bowling alley (set your own pins). Yes, some times it was 10 degrees (out on the lake or when bowling) but there was a toasty fire nearby to warm up with. That is the fun of "embracing" winter. We also had lovely warmer sunny days for snow shoeing (first time and FUN), X skiing, whether on spectacular trails or across the solidly frozen, whisper-quiet lake.

I booked here to celebrate an anniversary and I had an emergency occur that didn't allow me to check in on the dates I planned to. Tim the innkeeper was very accommodating and sympathetic to us about the whole situation. I was so thankful and knew this would not be the treatment if I had booked through airbnb. The camp was beautiful. We went on a rainy weekend and still enjoyed ourselves to the fullest. I can't imagine the beauty it has in the summer or winter months. Overall great experience and grateful for it all. Will recommend this place to everyone craving a peaceful connection with company and nature. Thank you again to the staff.
