Can't say enough about how incredible this ranch is for a perfect getaway. The room was great, the staff was friendly that we felt like family, the activities were fun, the grounds were amazing and the food was delicious! And, the excellent care for the horses was palpable.

Absolutely amazing experience at White Stallion Ranch! Every single staff member was super professional, responsible, and incredibly friendly — they really made me feel at home. The horses are top quality and very well-trained, so I felt totally safe the entire time. I loved that they let you choose rides based on your experience level — I did both the fast and slow rides, and they were all so much fun! The scenery is straight out of a classic Western movie — right outside the ranch is a stunning national park with those iconic desert views. The food was great too — breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all delicious and really hit the spot after a long ride. Evenings were packed with fun and different activities every night. Oh, and by the way… the cowboys are seriously handsome and the cowgirls are gorgeous! 😄 Highly recommend this place — I’ll definitely be back!

We stayed 10 of us this September 2025 in the Hacienda on the all american plan (all dining and most activities included). The facility is beautiful - truly well put together with a very nice flow and immaculate desert landscaping. The hacienda is extremely well appointed and the layout of it is fantastic for large groups or couples. Pool and hottub are fantastic. Games room is well kept with a variety of games including pool and air hockey. Team penning and cattle sorting are fun activity based rides to try. The 'fast' rides feature anywhere from 3-10mins total of loping with the remainder being walking. The only ride that offers any jogging or trotting is the all day ride. The hilight for me was definitely their new obstacle course. The wrangler running it is experienced, and has a solid foundational horse knowledge he shares with the guests. It was the only time anyone talked about using the seat to influence the horse, how body language affects movement, using legs for steering, and the need to be able to influence your horse to have 3 different speeds within all the gaits. The obstacle course is well thought out and has challenges for any skill level rider. The lessons they offer in the arena while advertised as for any skill level are really only for beginner riders. Our group tried to take lessons twice and both times were extremely disappointed. Many of the wranglers teaching lack the experience to provide more than a pull to stop kick to go lesson. That being said, the ranch primarily caters to beginners and those seeking a 'taste of the west'. They could easily remedy this by having their obstacle course wrangler teach their less experienced wranglers how to teach as he was truly a highlight. Footing and conditions on rides is as expected for desert and desert mountain areas - sandy and rocky. The horses are VERY steady and know their jobs extremely well. Some of the wranglers and staff are more friendly than others but generally our large group had very few complaints with regard to staff and attitude. On the whole, for a very large dude ranch operation, the facility is clean, animals are adequately cared for, tack is in decent shape. Staff retention seems like it may be a problem as most of the wranglers had been there for 3 years or less but with desert heat and a very busy schedule burn out is likely an issue. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an easy all inclusive vacation who is looking to relax and enjoy. I would go back with my family and kids but likely not with an advanced group of adult riders looking for adventure / challenge unless they improved their lesson structure / added and incorporated more technical challenges (like the obstacle course). What they offer works very well for them and their main clientele and im grateful i got to experience a week on the ranch.

This was our first time at a ranch, and everything exceeded our expectations. The wranglers worked so hard and were so knowledgeable and professional. The horses are trained beautifully and treated well. The entire staff was a delight and always ready to help. The food was delicious, and there was something for everyone. I am so grateful to have had this experience with my family and try something new. We will be back!

Google
Giving 5 stars because that is the limit, would rate higher if possible. The whole vibe was very laid back it was the perfect week away. Would definitely go back or visit one of their other ranches. Shuttle from airport - quick, easy, convenient Arrival - team member met us at our room as it was late and wanted to help us get settled in as quickly as possible Food - great variety, home cooked and fresh. Everything was delicious and something for everyone at each meal. Nothing was super greasy or sauced like you get at most places Rooms - comfortable, not glamorous but just what you need which makes sense for a place where you don't spend any time in the room Staff - AMAZING!!! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. It is family owned/operated and it felt like everyone who worked their treated it like their own. The time each guide or wrangler took with every member of our family to cater for our individual skill levels was brilliant. Activities - we rode horses (inc. the breakfast, mountain, and fast rides, and took a lesson), climbed rocks (40+ different possible climbs in 8 diff spots), shot 22s (riffles and pistols), hiked, learned archery and slingshots, took a jeep tour (an extra but a great first activity to get the lay of the land). The pool was a great way to relax later in the afternoon and the game room a fun place to get out of the sun (although a couple pieces need a little fixing up). The evening entertainment was fun and enjoyable. Critter show was a definite must!

This was my second visit to WSR, with my first being back in 2014 and it was wonderful to return. Since then, the ranch has grown in exciting ways, with a wider range of activities and the convenience of online booking for rides and experiences. The food, already good on my first visit, has only improved, with more variety at dinner and consistently high-quality meals throughout our stay.||I was happy to find the core horse programme largely unchanged, which speaks to the ranch's commitment to what they do well. A lovely surprise was learning that the horse I rode in 2014 is still living happily on the property in retirement. The horses we were assigned this time matched our riding levels perfectly, offering just enough challenge to keep things engaging. Skipper was a steady and rewarding partner for me, while Wrangler kept my husband entertained with his cheeky personality.||One of the highlights was taking part in groundwork and horsemanship lessons with Gabe, whose calm and insightful teaching helped us understand horse behavior and communication on a deeper level. It’s a great addition to the ranch’s offerings and something we highly recommend.||We also tried cattle sorting for the first time, which was a lot of fun under the guidance of the ever-patient and encouraging Emma, who also led several of our trail rides. The activity team; Seth, Myles, Martin, Gwen, and Lewis were all fantastic. Whether it was shooting, axe/knife throwing, or archery, they were knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and made every activity enjoyable. They clearly love what they do and genuinely care about ensuring guests have a great time.|A special mention to Diego for his fascinating walk and talk about the native plants and forna of Arizona, his stories and insights were captivating. If you get a chance, don’t miss the Thursday morning “herbal and edible walk.”||Evening entertainment was another strong point. We particularly enjoyed the star party, critter show, and cowboy singer. We were sorry to miss the line dancing but will make sure to catch it on our next visit.||A new addition for us this time was afternoon yoga, led by the excellent Megan. It was the perfect way to unwind and stretch out after long rides. We also loved visiting Sherrie and Ranger in the gift shop, always a cheerful stop, and we never left without a smile.||Mealtimes were made even more enjoyable thanks to the warm and friendly wait staff. The wranglers, especially Terry and Daniel, along with the volunteers, worked tirelessly behind the scenes to care for the horses and make sure everything ran smoothly. The petting zoo was a hit too, especially the pigs, who were delighted to receive treats.||Our room was comfortable and conveniently located near the horse pens, allowing us to greet our equine neighbours with morning treats. The amenities were thoughtful, including air conditioning, makeup wipes, boot cloths, and dark flannels for makeup removal. We didn’t spend much time indoors, but it had everything we needed for restful naps and a good night’s sleep.||All in all, this was a truly special experience. We’re already looking forward to our next visit to WSR!

Yelp
I went to this horse ranch for a sunset ride. I brought an apple to feed one of the horses, but I ended up feeding it to one of the goats instead because there are also other animals on the ranch. All of the staff were so incredible and helpful. During the ride, we had some friendly conversation and dropping some knowledge as well. I would 100% go back here to ride during the sunset again or just regularly during the day. All the horses were so pretty and I saw a little pigs and goats as well. They even have a big steer on the ranch too. We definitely go back here, even just to say hi to the animals.

Yelp
I love horses so any chance I get to go horseback riding is great although you only get to walk which I understand the horses are used a lot. It was beautiful riding through the desert. Everyone there is great I would recommend going and especially in the morning. It's beautiful.

Yelp
~TEAM PENNING TEAM BUILDING EVENT ONLY~ I was in town for a work event and part of that work event was a team building excursion to White Stallion Ranch. The invitation said enjoy team penning and I thought, sure, whatever that is. Over to google I go. I haven't been on a horse since 4-H camp... maybe in 4th grade. But YOLO, right? Since then I have also developed a fear of heights and some mild anxiety, but let's get on a 900 lb majestic animal to get over some of those irrational fears. I did feel better when most of the people joining me were also of minimal horse experience. Arrived in the morning for our event. We filled out a form so the team at White Stallion could best match us with a safe horse. I scored a beauty, his name is Bison. Got a little background on Bison and was then lead to the platform to easily get into the saddle. Got a quick tutorial and then once all of our riders were mounted, we got another tutorial. My aniexty subsided pretty quick, Bison was a badass needing minimal direction. The team at White Stallion were patient and informational, all of the ranchers were quick to help with pointers to get our horses going the correct way. We went through 3 rounds of penning and had a fabulous time. We were able to take pictures along the way. Once we were getting good and starting to move, we had completed our tasks and it was time to wrap up. The ranchers helped us off our horse and shared we could go to the bar to cool down or hang out (we had a second group that was going through penning after we were done.) There was so much to see at the Ranch, I would have loved to spend the night here. We loved our time on the horses. All horses and ranchers were safe and there were no issues. We bellied up to the honor bar, many choices on drink offerings. Beer, soda, juice, champs, wine, freshly made margaritas and if you were feeling good, a full panty of hard liquor. You filled out the little note pad with what you drank and paid at the front counter. Cute decor, lots of activities if you chose to stay inside. Puzzles, chess, game boards... There is a pool and also a gym. I missed visiting the gift shop, but heard it had a lot of fun stuff. I only got to see a fraction of what the Ranch has to offer, but I have already looked at booking a longer adventure here.

Yelp
Our family (10 people) were at White Stallion over Christmas. The ranch and accommodations were western themed and very comfortable. Walking the grounds acquainted tou with desert scaping in a good way. They had a flora and fauna tour to intro you to different variety of vegetation. The food was good, healthy and plentiful. Breakfast could be continental, buffet, or by order. The pastries and desserts were amazing. There was a long list of activities to partake in. You could be as active or sedentary as you would choose to be. Staff was outstanding. They were very accommodating to requests be they diet or activity related, or answering questions. Smiling faces everywhere and a can do attitude. Dining was offered both indoors and out. We took advantage of both. My grandkids already want to know when we could come back. The horses were a hit, as was the shooting practice. Crafts were available, as were games and a library. Oh did I mention snacks during cocktail hour? Yum. Bar was honor system and reasonable prices. Wine was available by glass or by bottle. Lemonade, tea and water were always available. Town was close if you preferred items not stocked. For me the best part was time with family and spending quality time having fun. Electronics were not seen much as they were busy tackling new skills and being with your cousins at White Stallion....priceless.

Yelp
Incredible family vacation and experience. Worth every penny, the entire family loved it all from start to finish. Will absolutely be back again

Yelp
This is a "dude" ranch, and my review is only for the buffet dinner. We did not stay at the Ranch. Outsiders can eat at the Ranch if they make a reservation at least 24 hours in advance. The Ranch is very pretty and the people are extremely friendly. When the dinner bell sounds, you line up and go through the buffet, then find a place at a table with other people, or a small one just for yourself. I assume the menu varies, but the night we attended, there was salad, corn bread, rice, potatoes, pork roast, meatloaf, rolls, and a strawberry shortcake-type dessert. It was mostly decent food (except the corn bread was tasteless), but nothing was outstanding. It was good, solid western food in a nice outdoor ranch setting, with good service and friendly people. It's a unique place, and something different than just another restaurant. It's also not cheap.

Yelp
I have hardly any words. I am absolutely blown about by this ranch. This is an all inclusive resort. I've never been somewhere more that felt like being with a family. The staff are so friendly and genuine. Everyone was smiling, laughing and having a great time. The food was amazing! They have so many options to choose from and the desserts were delicious! There are so many fun activities on the ranch. You have archery, horseback riding, play pool, a basketball court, a pool, spa and hot tub, a petting zoo and more. There are horses that you can feed treats and just hang out with. The scenery around the ranch is beautiful. The ground are well maintained, the rooms are absolutely adorable. They look like old western cabins. I can't recommend this place enough. I will definitely be back someday

Kathleen R.

Yelp
The White Stallion exceeded my expectations, I'm going back for sure! What an experience, from the horse back rides to the night time sing along by the camp fire...Wow! Me and my 2 girlfriend had a blast. After riding, enjoying a massage in their spa, and swimming and soaking up the sun. The wine and cheese ride proved to be a hit, and we met people from all around the world. The wranglers were patient and fun, the food was awesome and happy hour was especially fun each day as we told tall tales of the days adventure. Go visit White Stallion, you wont regret it!

Yelp
More a family location than a horse riding location. Food is top-notch. Rooms are particularly well done. Staff are very friendly. Lots of activities for keeping the little ones engaged. Riding times are limited. Group rides, in the mornings mainly, were enjoyable. First time at a Dude Ranch. If you're looking more for a couples experience, this would not be it. It's not a problem, but I found myself wanting for a quieter desert experience. Would definitely recommend for the family.

J Z.

Yelp
What a fun team outing! Started with a delicious BBQ lunch and then there was horse back riding and archery, followed by snacks and drinks. This is a family owned working ranch, here since 1965 and they have other locations throughout AZ and other states. Shane was our archery instructor and Rachel sort of headed up the coordination of food/drinks so they stand out but the entire staff was great and everyone took very good care of us. The dude ranch experience a first for me and our group really enjoyed the experience and the service.

Yelp
10/10 Best place we have ever stayed. My boyfriend and I felt so free and relaxed. The resort itself is beautiful and the attention to detail is amazing. The staff is WONDERFUL, so helpful and accommodating. The room is so cozy and private, we were right next to the horses and hearing them in the morning is magical. We had the pool and jacuzzi to ourselves during the late hours and even got to hang out in there cute vintage style game room. Again, 10/10 would recommend even for not so western people like us this place will have you at peace and feeling so free.

Yelp
We had really been looking forward to this trip for a while. It's what our family chose for Spring Break, which was especially exciting for my daughters who love horses. The pros are it's all inclusive. There are a lot of activities to try. The food is decent and there is a nice variety for those with picky kids. The evening entertainment was mostly fun. We loved the critter show, but the campfire singalong was a bust, as the fire never got going and we all just sat in the dark for a bit. The biggest con for us was that my daughter didn't seem to have a consistent horse. She rode the same horse for three rides and was then suddenly told she couldn't ride that horse because she wasn't his rider. I was also put on two different horses (Titan and OhJo), but never told why. I was under the impression that you were assigned a horse (as their website states), but that didn't seem to be the case for us anyway. I emailed customer service and even brought it up to the front desk twice. First time, I mentioned that I get that they don't have enough horses for everyone, but it would have been nice for my daughter to know she wouldn't be allowed to ride the same horse consistently. They just kept telling me they try their best. Second time I brought it up, they said something was wrong with her horse (but there was another little boy riding it all week too, so I've no clue what happened). Again, that would have been nice to know. I eventually got a response to my email, in which they said they would reach out to me on Monday (it was Friday that I sent it). At the point I was home though and I didn't feel like dealing with it and I told them not to bother. So I guess my point is that if you have your heart on having a consistent horse for the week, make it very clear ahead of time. I was very happy for most of my trip, but my daughter was so upset about not being able to "ride her horse," that we won't be returning.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Went back for our second trip this week and I'll be back again! They have great amenities, the meals are awesome, extra activities outside of riding and multiple different type of riding activities. The wranglers and people working here are also amazing and blast to be around. I miss it already!!

Mikayla P.

Yelp
Awesome experience! Dwayne and the others were very hospitable and made the trip a good time. We encountered a rattlesnake on the way back to the stables, as one does in the desert, and the horses responded amazing. I was able to lead Gunsmoke around the area where the snake was to avoid him being spooked as well. Horses very well trained and easy going. As someone who has never ridden a horse before, I felt very comfortable and confident the whole time!

Yelp
What a great place to vacation! I never saw myself going to a dude ranch but I am so glad I agreed to go on this adventure. It is such a well run ranch. Every employee was top notch, completely sweet and knowledgeable. I learned new skills and enjoyed different activities in the desert on horseback rides. One of my favorite vacations. My only criticism is room cleanliness. The beds need to be pulled out and cleaned all around, under the sink and mirrors need dusting. We spent the week with a cob web that had a dead fly in it. We named him Fred. Despite that, we had an absolutely amazing time and would definitely do it again. The horses we so sweet. I hated to leave them.

Yelp
Nightmare Worthy Event Planning White Stallion Ranch was the chosen venue for a friend's wedding, and it was certainly a memorable experience. When our shuttle bus from the hotel arrived on site, there was no one to greet us and we sat around for about 20 minutes while the bus driver and members of the wedding party were trying to get ahold of the event coordinator. The additional 10 minute van ride from the ranch out to the wedding venue was bumpy enough to give one whiplash. Riding there on a horse would have been more comfortable. The actual site was gorgeous, I will give them that. It had a great sunset view, and the catering was spot on. However, everything seemed pretty unfinished and uncomfortable for formal attire. There was cacti and stone all over the active area that was easy to trip over, especially the path over to the portable toilets. Our shuttle driver got lost on the way back from the site to the ranch, and then stopped to figure it out with another driver - causing us to miss most of the after party at the hotel bar. Oh, and the driver forgot to put the van in Park, so our night ended with a literal "bang" after the van I was in rolled down the hill and rear ended the van stopped in front of us. Thankfully, no one was injured. I cannot imagine how much money was wasted on this wedding. Apparently the ranch double booked this date, so the site we were at was "built" to accommodate their mistake. I really hope my friends got their money back, especially after the van on van incident.

Yelp
Loved this place! This was my first experience at a Dude Ranch. We had airport pick up and drop off service. The rooms are very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The scenery is beautiful and I got to see rabbits and different types of colorful birds ... as well as a small kings snake. All pretty cool. They have a cactus tree in front of the dining hall that attracts different types of birds. From my bedroom window I caught sight of humming birds and rabbits playing. The best and most important part... their horses are in great shape and their food is outstanding. I happily put on 2 lbs at the ranch (I needed them). I ate more than I needed to, but I could not resist. The service is incredible. Everyone is very nice. They have shows in the evenings and other fun activities like rock climbing, e-bikes, archery, leather workshop and horse show decorating. Spa, pool, and free treats for horses. I didn't care for the cattle sorting and penning, but I enjoyed the scenic and the fast rides. My only observation (not complaint) I feel there's always room for improvement, is that some of the activities I wanted to do (they have quite a variety but some didn't appeal to me) had conflicting times. So I found myself doing 1 or 2 activities per day... so the days went by sloooow for me. And seeing I had a lot of free time in my hands, decided to return home earlier. Some activities are good once, also with archery and cattle sorting, I didn't like waiting in line for my turn in a big group of people. That made it drag a little also. So I decided to just go on as many rides as possible since rising was my primary interest.

Yelp
The review is just for dinner... we live locally and went for the evening ! Had a great time! We got there a few minutes before cocktail hour so we could relax and enjoy a drink on the patio. There were people from England, Germany and France that we encountered ! The hosts are extremely friendly and explained to us how things worked. After cocktail hour we went toward the outside BBQ area and got in line to choose our meals. There was corn on the cob, salads, baked beans, bread, string beans, two seafoods, chicken and ribs! The only miss was the chicken which was like eating shoe leather. Dinner in the patio was fabulous, as it was a comfortable October evening! After dinner there was entertainment by a cowboy using his guns, ropes and whip. He was very good !

Yelp
I stayed at the ranch for a program that I was attending. It was just amazing throughout the 5 days that I spent there. The service top notch, super-friendly and helpful, and always available when needed. I wasn't able to take part in many activities due to the program, but I enjoyed the horseback riding every morning and the efficient way they handled getting everyone on the horses, and the excellent care of the wranglers as we went along the trails. In fact, all of the wranglers were super-polite, friendly, and always helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, well-decorated, and the air-con and fan worked. I loved the heavy shutters which can be opened at night to let the cool air in, and closed to keep the conditioned air in.

Yelp
Normally I wait to the end of my stay to post a review but for my first time ever, I am still here and couldn't wait. Thats how great this place is. My wife summed it up better than I ever could as we were walking back to our casita after a mammoth portion steak dinner --- "Best Day Ever!" Majestic rugged scenery is everywhere. Authentic cowboy/cowgirl hard-scrabble ranch life is right under your boots and in your hands if you want. Great food, animals, comfortable and clean historically interesting accommodations. We are learning ranch life and living it. Kids love this place and for adults it's sensory overload in the best way. From being picked up at the airport by super friendly Carrol to the ever so polite and gracious every person we meet who works here, it is a joy. This is better than Westworld. Come!

Grant D.

Yelp
Welcoming staff, comfortable accommodations, good food, fun activities. They certainly were attentive making us feel at home, took care of us to make sure we got to activities we wanted to participate in. When it comes to being ambassadors representing the ranch experience, the staff stands out keeping guests happy and coming back. From being greeted by Lisa in the front office to the great service of Karen and Yvonne in the dining hall, they were all very helpful and made us comfortable to fit right in. Louie went above and beyond at the shooting and the e-bike ride activities. Such a knowledgeable and amiable person who made sure everyone was safe, comfortable, and was having a good time. Daniel and Martin showed us archery basics to learn the bow and arrow. They were patient with each one of us to guide us which helped make it enjoyable for everyone. Wranglers were top notch. They were very methodical and accommodating in matching riders to the right horses and saddles. Making it where the rider can be paired with the same horse and saddle for the duration of their stay as to have a good experience and bond with the horse. Shania led our basic lessons and was great at introducing how to adjust the saddle, proper positioning of feet in stirrups, etc. She gave each one of us individual instruction. And yes, you can pick up a handful of horse snacks at the office to treat your favorite horse. Slow ride was an easygoing ride, led by Nick and Tanner. It was a relaxed ride, taking in the sights and learning more details about the ranch and history. It was a perfect ride. Line Dancing night activity - a lot of fun! Whether already knowing how to or just learning, it was great! *** A huge thank you to the whole staff for making our vacation a memorable one! ***

Yelp
It's very expensive and the staff is not helpful to locals who haven't booked online. A smile is highly recommended.

Yelp
here for the first time and i love it! went shooting with martin and mckaylah and it was such a good time, they made me feel so comfortable and safe, everyone at the ranch makes it feel like home. i feel very welcome here and my family is having so much fun bonding!

Yelp
I have never spent the night here, but visited often to get permission to do a photo hike. Place is very clean, well kept, and the staff very helpful, you can tell it is a family business and not some corporate setup. I noticed that 99% of their customers are old geezers who escaped from the old folks home, I never saw anyone under 40 here....so if you are looking for young people to hang out with, not here. Otherwise a nice place.

Stephanie I.

Yelp
My family just returned from spring break at the Ranch (Mom 45, Dad 43, big brother 12, little brother 10) and we had an absolute BLAST!  I'll be honest, with all the amazing reviews, I was worried that I would get my hopes up about how great it would be and then the reality would let me down in some way, but that was absolutely not the case!  This place is 100% what you read in the reviews. We stayed in a Family Suite (#9) and it was adorable, western themed, with plenty of space, a nice bathroom, closet for hanging clothes and drawers for other clothes.  The patio ended up being my favorite place in the mornings and during what little down time we had.  I kept hearing the staff (which are all so nice and helpful) mention they were almost at capacity....and I kept looking around trying to figure out where all the people were!  Even though it was spring break and they were almost fully booked, it did not feel that way at all.  I learned that their "fully booked" is about 150 people, which is not crowded at all.  There were families with kids, extended family groups with grandparents to kids down to ages 3-4, couples of all ages (saw some in their 20's and some in their 80's) and a group of ladies on a "cowgirl" trip.  So there is no "appropriate" age for this place.  There is something for everyone! Food- my husband and I were skeptical about how good the food would be at an all-inclusive and we were pleasantly surprised!  The food was great!!  Lots of variety (for my picky 12 year old).  We ate breakfast and dinner outside on the pretty patio, but had lunch inside to have some AC for a bit.  There is water, tea and lemonade any time you want it and the beer, wine, sodas are in the bar area.  It is not included in the price, but you just go get what you want and write basically an "IOU" and put it in the box.  They add it to your bill at the end.  Neat system and super easy. Activities- where do I begin??  We did almost everything and had a ball!!  We were never bored.  If we had an hour break between activities, it is easy enough to go change and hit the pool for 45 minutes or the kids would run to the activity room to play pool or ping pong.  Our family ended up LOVING the e-bikes!  My 10-year-old was just a *tad* too short, but they have smaller/older bikes and once he showed that he could handle the bike by himself (start/stop/not fall over), he was fine to do the rides.  Super, super fun! Rock climbing was another favorite.  Wade was awesome!  So nice and helpful. We all had fun pushing ourselves and cheering each other on. Obviously horseback riding was fun!  We did one slow ride, but then were ready to pick it up a bit and the fast rides were more our speed.  You are on the same horse all week so you really start to get to know their personalities.  The team penning was really fun and even though we sucked at it (ha!) we had fun working together as a family. Archery was great (take water, it gets hot out there with no shade). Shooting was surprisingly fun too! The nightly shows/activities were great!  The kids held snakes and a tarantula one night, then the next we were all painting pictures of a cactus at an art class.  The variety is great!  Loop Rawlins show was SO good and entertaining!! The pool/hot tub was great and never crowded.  It was nice to go relax and cool off in between activities. Weather- we went in April, which was perfect!  65-70 in the morning then 90's during the day, but with no humidity, it honestly didn't feel super hot, except maybe the 2-4 pm timeframe.  The shade was amazing because there was always a breeze.  Night would cool off as soon as the sun went down, but dinners on the patio were perfect in sleeveless.  I'd end up putting on a jacket around 8:00, but I'm cold natured. Suggestions- Be on time for meals.  Not that the line gets that long, but just so that you have enough time to eat and digest some before your next activity. Look over the paper copy of the activities at night before bed (take a highlighter) and plan what you want to sign up for the night before.  Then be on the app right at 7:00 a.m. to make sure you get the activities you want.  There is enough variety and options that you will end up doing everything you want to do, but some did book up quickly. Take Advil- we don't have much experience riding horses so we were a little sore from using muscles that we don't usually use.  Advil was helpful since it was such an active trip. The ONLY negative that I have is that the coffee wasn't ready until 7:30 when breakfast starts.  Would have been nice to be able to go up and get a cup when I first woke up, but seriously, that is the ONLY negative thing I can think of!! I can now understand why so many people go back more than one time.  It was truly such a fun week for me and my family!  If you are looking for "something different" and you want to get outside and just have FUN, this is absolutely the place for you!

Yelp
I'm a local to this area and decided to stay a couple of nights here with my family. I will definitely say it was pretty cool! Went on a slow horse ride for 5pm ($40 per person) and you ride the horse up near mountain near twin peaks rd. Keep in mind I have NO experience riding a horse but it was very easy to learn and you learn it in about 3 minutes. The horse pretty much knows where to go and what it's doing. ****My only suggestion is WEAR THICK PANTS and closed toed shoes (jeans, sweats, etc.) I say this because about 20-30 minutes into the ride (ride is about an hour and a half), you will get VERY close to cactuses. My shoes definitely went through a couple of those prickly pear cactus bushes and I was wearing Capri leggings and my legs would get SO close to hitting the other cactuses like saguaro cactus and the cholla cactus. I would have to steer the horse to try and avoid them. There were a couple of times I missed getting poked by an inch. **** The only issue I had is that sometimes it'll just want to keep walking and you'll have to pull the reigns back. The facility has a petting zoo and a game room, movie theatre, pool, a barrel hot tub. They had an adult area which is where the work out room is at and the sauna along with the spa services. They have complimentary water and lemonade and free snacks. The ranch has ranch dogs the roam the ground and you are able to feed the horses! They have horse cookies near the office and you can take as many as you want to feed them. The room we stayed in was very nice and had really nice bathrooms. The views are beautiful and was very western feeling. The food was good and was served nicely. The only reason I give it four stars is because things aren't labeled very well. When we first arrived we didn't even know where the office was. We walked in the main area where it looked like the office would be. We asked someone who was a guest there and they told us. So incase you're wondering, the office is behind the 2 large wooden doors. From there they give you a small quick tour and take you to your room. The ranch was very nice and the pool and hot tub is open 24/7. I saw a lot of younger kids there who enjoyed the Rec room. The facility is close to restaurants and stores so if you need something it's only about 5-10 min drive.

Yelp
I so enjoyed my stay at WSR. Went solo and made new friends right away. Everyone was so nice and helpful. They have figured out how to deliver a great travel experience in the middle of the desert. I highly recommend WSR!

Yelp
Amazing! It is more than expected. I have been afraid to travel thinking that Covid would limit the experience. I felt VERY safe here and had a great time. The staff know everything and make your stay amazing. The food was great, the activities were OUTSTANDING and the ranch is wonderfull! I am booking to come back ASAP. Great for kids and adults.

Yelp
No words can describe the magic and serenity of the White Stallion Ranch. We enjoyed every second of our stay here. It was such an incredible experience that we didn't even want to sleep so as not to miss a moment of the magic the White Stallion Ranch has to offer. We hope to return every year, again and again. I could never tire of the truly magical atmosphere here. We immediately became best friends with many of the animals as well. Truly an absolute GEM on planet earth.

Yelp
I LOVE WHITE STALLION RANCH! This a great dude ranch. A place where real riders can ride, and beginners can ride, too! The trails are beautiful, the guides are great and experienced. They have horses for every level of rider, and tons of trail choices. You can go on a fast ride or a slow ride, all day ride, mountain ride, and team penning in the evening! If you are looking for a vacation that's focus is on riding, this is the place. (and the food is great, too!!)

Yelp
My 5th trip back to White Stallion Ranch, and I have never ever been dissatisfied or disappointed in any service the ranch provides, from the excellent food, accommodations, staff, wranglers & horses always exceed my expectations every year! Shout out to the best cook, Raymond, our wranglers, Gabe, Shania, Shane, Aubrey & volunteer Wrangler for the week, Steve! All extremely professional & knowledgeable at making sure your ride is an awesome one, I'm a continual solo guest & always find plenty to do during the day! Great experience for the solo traveler as well as families with children! Look no further for your dude ranch vacation, this, truly is where you want to be! For me each year, it's a feeling of "coming back home"! Come here once & I guarantee, you'll be back year after year as I do!!! As always, LOVE this piece of Heaven and Earth in Tucson!

Yelp
Simply outstanding! I'll preface by saying I am very much a child of the city being raised/having lived in Chicago suburbs the vast majority of my life. My wife surprised me with a night's stay here for my birthday at the end of August. It was wonderful. Top to bottom. Can't wait to come back. Reservation process was easy and prices were very reasonable. The entire staff was genuinely happy to have you with them. The property itself is beautiful at every turn. It is very well maintained. Our room was beautifully appointed, huge and was comfortably warm as the night closed in. The ranch offers plenty to keep every one in the family busy. An honor bar (great system by the way), sizable library, jukebox and pool table, a game room, petting zoo, horseback riding, occasional rock climbing is available, pool and hot tub areas (open all night), a warm hearth to sit and relax around and the list goes on. Meals were excellent. Sitting down to dinner felt more like a meal with extended family than sitting at a restaurant with strangers. Everyone, guests and staff, was very chatty and friendly. We were lucky that we wound up there on a Saturday night because there was also live music accompanying our meal. Strummed covers of Hank Williams Sr., Johnny Cash and more (as well as a few originals). If for some crazy reason you decide not to sit down for meals on the ranch, the front desk can get you the names of some great places nearby in town to check out. Unfortunately, we had some rough weather that night and the call had to be made to cancel the sunset trail ride. We were disappointed of course, but at the same time, we were very happy to see that guest safely is genuinely valued. Thanks again guys! Glad you're looking out for us! I could blather on and on but I digress. We'll be back with my folks when they come to visit! ...probably before then. I'm not sure I can wait that long. =]

Yelp
This place is pretty incredible! If you enjoy horses, this will be heaven for you! We came for a couple nights but could stay a week without getting bored. There are various riding options for your morning or afternoon rides, a heated pool, hot tub, game room, theater and more. The food is great and the staff members are fantastic. We came here with our ten year old and he didn't want to leave! Don't bring fancy clothes...just jeans and boots are all you need!

Yelp
A fantastic experience all around!!! The staff is incredibly friendly and the the views are breathtaking... nothing but positive things can be said. Archery, e-bike riding and horseback riding... there are so many activities. It's a must do and I will be coming back.

Yelp
I want to tell you to stop reading reviews about this place, and just go book it!!!!!! This was the most AMAZING experience, and ranks one of my favorite vacation spots ever. I read all the reviews and was excited and hopeful that I would have fun. They experience BLEW ME AWAY! The facilities, the horses, the staff, the wranglers, the trails, the food and the riding were more than I could have imagined. Got home a week ago, and am already planning my next trip.

Yelp
Beautiful, well maintained and comfortable authentic ranch setting. Wranglers were excellent and horses well cared for and good natured. There are lots of activities for riding, from lessons, to beginners to fast rides and team penning. Very fun! Make sure you get a picture from the photographer if you go on a ride. She is top notch. We did not have time for other activities, but there is a lot to choose from. Food and dining are not gourmet, but that's not what you go to a ranch for. We were certainly well-fed with no complaints! We will be back.

Yelp
Been here twice. Expect to return many more times. Horses, tennis, great food, attentive knowledgeable friendly staff. If you love horseback riding then come here.

Yelp
My grand daughter is 21 and an accomplished show rider. She came out for a visit and I took her to have a ride. She LOVED it! Matter of fact the leader and she bonded and they still e-mail and text each other. I highly recommend Bob and his horses.

Christine B.

Yelp
What an incredible experience! Spectacular scenery, beautiful energy and great hospitality from both the humans and the horses. I can't wait to go back- especially to see the handful of extra special horses who captured my heart.

Yelp
Outstanding vacation. Friendly, clean and so fun. We love all the activities, food, rooms, and the horses of course. The wranglers are the best!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I spent 5 nights at the White Stallion Ranch last week. The staff was pleasant and helpful (dining room, front desk, wranglers, gift shop staff, cleaning staff, etc)The grounds were well maintained and beautiful. The nightly activities were very enjoyable-Loop Rawlings, a magician, a critter show, and a country singer. The horses were great and well cared for. They offer many different rides each day- slow flat, fast flat, slow mountain, fast mountain, 1/2 day, full day. We had the same horses the entire time which was nice. You can ride 1-2 times per day or not at all. They also had other activities during the day that we weren't able to do because we were riding. The scenery was beautiful. We did the Movie tour with Marty which was really interesting and fun. He's a wealth of knowledge. The pool and hot tub were very relaxing- very few people there. Our room was clean and comfortable and was right next to one of the pastures, so we got to visit with the horses all day. There is no TV in rooms so it was peaceful. The gift shop had a lot of really nice things and not too expensive. There is a petting zoo on the property. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the food , although abundant, was mediocre. The breakfast is buffet plus you can also place order for eggs/pancakes. Breakfast wasn't bad. Lunch is also buffet with many options of hot and cold foods-tacos and brisket sandwich were the best lunch meals. There was always lunch meat, salad and fruit available at lunch. Dinner just wasn't very good, not much seasoning and the steak was tough, chicken had no meat on it, pork was ok. There were also options at dinner. The vegetables were usually cooked well. Desserts were not anything special. We really loved everything else about the ranch. Would definitely recommend it!

Marc S.

Yelp
The real cowboy experience! My wife and Ihad the best time. I am a better rider than when I arrived and my wife with lessons had a great experience. The guests that we talked with ( from 8th to 28th visits) are all great ambassadors for the ranch. A wide variety of rides and activities were available to all so each day was a new adventure. The wranglers are a great asset for the experience of riding and enjoying the whole experience. The food was always delicious and with great variety.

Yelp
I'll save everyone that's looking for details, the details...If I were to sit here and write out all of the great things about White Stallion you'd need a full day to read it. I did some research 12 months ago and also had a conversation with a colleague who visited Russell's Ranch over a year ago and boy was i glad i followed through. To say that the time that me and my family spent there far exceeded expectations would be an understatement! If you're looking for an escape from reality, a great family experience AND memories to last a lifetime, figure out a way to go spend a week at the WHITE STALLION DUDE RANCH. The amenities and food rivaled that of any 5 Star Hotels, the help/staff went above and beyond the call of duty. Russel (the Owner) and host was most gracious and the Wranglers... the patience of the Wranglers (especially Steve, Joseph) made you feel like family. They made my kids think they were the only ones there and we were all on a first name basis as soon as we hopped on our beautiful horses. I could go on forever but i wouldn't come close to doing this well oiled operation justice. Feel free to call me if you need additional information. Thanks to ALL at the WS Dude Ranch!! Bob

Yelp
This was an amazing trip during the day after Christmas to January second. I loved my horse hombre, and it was amazing through all the errors it always got resolved. The food was amazing and it was a joy to be there. the night entertainment was fun and my favorite ride had to be the one in the rain with Josh . ( sorry other staff you are all amazing too ) The views are amazing. They offer a lot of hill and flat rides , even all day and half all day. I was sad I couldn't ride Sunday because I loved my horse so much. It showed me my new favorite skill shooting. We shot pistols and rivals which were a lot of fun. It's a lot of fun when you already know how to ride I came with a group of 10 and 8 of us including me where experienced and owned horses sometime in are lives. If you are on a diet don't plan on continuing it while you are there. Warning if you are allergic to dogs this is not the place for you.

Yelp
This is a Dude Ranch indeed. Said in other words this is a kind of resort in the desert of Tucson with the posibility of horseback riding, no matter if you are an experienced horseback rider or a beginner. The rooms, in bungalows or "modules" are really well planned, clean and comfortable. The staff in reception is correct and helpfull. Food is nothing remarkable, although correct and I must say that the lunch and dinner time is quite stressing since the restaurant is not friendly designed, perhaps trying to add some "Cowboy" atmosphere, and the waiters are running around not helping so much in creating a calm and vacational environement. What is clear is that, as oposed as what I thought when decided to visit the ranch, this is not a place for horseback riding under literal understanding but a resort in a wonderful desert with a nice swiming pool, a small gym and access to massages, nices premises and some relax time within the spa context. Additionaly, one has the oportinity to ride as per the schedule defined every day. The wranglers are absolutely proffesionals, responsables and skilled. Horses are alright and, clearly, the excellence and care is visible. The rides are interesting and well lead and the feeling is great and comfortable. Management of this area is just excellent in technical and human capabilities terms However, the horse activities schedule is made with no attention at all to the "possibility"that the guests could have gone to the ranch or would like or desire go riding more than having sun in the pool or having some spa time. Since internal policy avoids getting a wrangler, a horse and time besides what is scheduled, if you are at White Stallion the days that fits with your riding level and time expectations you are lucky. If not.....you are not. If you complain or state your dislike to the fact that you are not allowed to ride at your level more than 2 hours in a day, if that day the schedule does not "permit" so, you can be easily at your first word, somehow mistreated as I was. Having said that, I must say that the owners found a way to satisfy my expectation. However, the tension provoked on me was out of the question and absolutely unfair. And my five days ruined. Although I do understand that having close to 100 guest at the hotel to be managed is a challenge (and also a business), the owners must understand that it is quite reasonable think that people traveling hundreds or, as in my case, thousand of miles to ride,(and having paid a sum that makes one think in another scheme), should have the chance to ride at least half day any day although even at an extra charge. In other case I would suggest to define the ranch just as a resort with riding facilities. But not using a name that makes one think that words as riding,or cowboy or wrangler(any of the three is valid) are the axe of the place. This is a good place for three days in the desert and move around Tucson and, eventually, practice some horseback riding....some day....

Yelp
This is a wonderful ranch run by two brothers (the second of three generations) Russell and Michael True, who do their best to make you feel like a family guest. The horse riding is wonderful and the wranglers are experienced and friendly as they lead you on rides around this 3,000 acre ranch. All levels of riding are available and lessons are a very reasonable $20 per lesson fee. Almost everything else is included and the food is top notch. I wrote a longer review on TripAdvisor, but look at the other reviews for more details on the rooms (excellent) and the many other things to do: pool, wooden barrel spa tub, tennis court, petting zoo, pool table and game room, honor bar for the evening and the list goes on. In addition to the friendly staff, this resort attracts a very friendly group of international visitors. While there are many families we also ran into singles and met folks we now call friends from the UK, Ireland, Germany and New Zealand. There is a reason this ranch is full of return visitors. While this was our first visit I know it will not be our last.
