I am now a regular visitor to Tallinn as I have family now living there. This is my second stay at The White Villa and I had apartment 103 which was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Room was en suite with kitchen area and very spacious lounge / bedroom with very comfortable double bed. It was very warm and homely, particularly as outside temperatures had dropped to -4C in the day and -9C at night. A very friendly welcome from Anne who provide me with a map, details of public transport and a reflector to put on your jacket which is a safety requirement during darkness hours. The location is ideal for me as it is close to where family members live but the Old Town itself is very accessible with public transport. You have a choice of buses, numbers 3, 4, (trolley bendy buses) and 72, 24 and 24A. It is only a twenty minute journey into the city and I never waited more than four minutes for a bus. A five day travel card is only 6 Euros which is amazing value. A very comfortable stay, yet again, and I am returning in January next year, looking forward to another stay at The White Villa.

We stayed at Valge Villa 4 nights, based on previous positive reviews and our personal requirements of a B&B with larger beds, laundry facility and not located in Old Town Tallinn. We were very disappointed. The plumbing did not function well (leaky faucets, can't put toilet paper in the toilet, toilets don't flush well), beds were uncomfortable, hosts did not visit with us except as necessary, breakfast was minimal. This might be an okay option if you were on a tight budget, weren't particular about plumbing, and don't want to interact with hosts and other guests...more impersonal feel than we are used to in B&Bs in Europe, Canada or USA. It is near a supermarket, near bus lines, near some restaurants and is in a nice, residential location.

I did a 4-day-trip with my girlfriend to Tallinn on Easter 2011. Luckily I still found an available room (203) at the White Villa (Valge Villa).||The overall-impression: Staying there feels like being invited to somebody's home. It is rather a private accomodation than a hotel. But it has it's charme!||The villa is a big wooden house with rooms for 25 persons. The family running the business is friendly, helpful and we had some nice conversations.||The room (203) is the only one with a separate Toilet / bath which is the only reason not to rate it 5 stars. Everything else was good / clean. You got much more comfort than expected - considering the price!||Breakfast was very good, the Sauna is also worth using (20 Euro extra).||Location is 10 Minutes from city centre by bus (buy 10 tickets - its much cheaper!)||I can truly recommend the white Villa if you're looking for a great comfort/price relation and do not expect a 150 Euro-5star-Hotel with a pool ;-)

We have stayed in other places in Tallinn - e.g., the Palace hotel - and had wanted to give a B&B a try. We should have stayed in the hotel again. The room was okay, but the service very poor. Towels were not replaced, bath mats not replaced - and the shower gets water everywhere and so the mat was soaked. Then when we asked about breakfast, we were told it cost 9 euro a person!! And no fresh coffee free anywhere - just a small pot to make yourself of instant in the bedroom. To top it off, the bed mattress was very soft - too soft. For the price we paid, we will stay in the city at a nice hotel next time.

Good B&B outside Tallinn central in a quiet residential area. Center is easily reachable by bus no.3 from the main road, about 150m away, in 5-6 stops. Nice hosts although not too talkative, but then their English was good though not perfect. Wonderful room with private bathroom + TV and good breakfast for an additional €9.- Giant Rimi supermarket just beside the bus stop on the main road 150m away. Nice alternative to a hostel. I would stay there again next time in Tallinn.

We have stayed with Anne and Andres four times ranging from a week to three weeks. The B&B has a homelike atmosphere, large and varied breakfast served family style, good location at the edge of central city, auto parking, and friendly helpful hosts who speak multiple languages. The rooms are cozy, wood paneled walls, private bathrooms, and the beds are just fine.
