If you're looking for peace, quiet, and a chance to enjoy true nature, this is the perfect place. It's about a 45–55 minute drive from Yosemite Valley, but it's absolutely worth it. The restrooms are clean and well-maintained. It's also conveniently located near Mono Lake and May Lake. Most importantly, don’t forget to bring mosquito repellent!

Nice chill vibe. I stayed on site 9. I crammed a 16ft tent in the 6ft tent location without any issues. No need to buy firewood because there is plenty all around to burn. There is a big rock in front of the parking space so only 1 vehicle can fit.

Great campground, about 1 hr from Yosemite Valley and 45/50 min from Tuolumne meadows. No water in campgrounds. It is very nice and lots to do.

This campground is absolutely beautiful! Campsites are $18.00 a night with no hook ups. The bathrooms have flush toilets and are kept clean. The site's are big and each site comes with a large bear locker. There is a small stream that flows through and lots of large rocks that the kids love climbing on.

Spot 66 was big and beautiful views. Cold at night perfect during the day. Restrooms were clean. Beautiful hike to Lunkens Lake.

We had a wonderful stay at this Yosemite National Park. The roads are narrow & windy but we were able to get in & find a great site for our 17 foot trailer. It was clean with a nice bathroom & utility sink. There are no showers. Most campers only stayed a night. It was about 35 degrees each night. There was an occasional sound of a generator. There is a camp hostess.

Love the campground itself, and in a beautiful part of the park away from the crowds. 3 stars because I was awakened at 730 am to the garbage truck collecting three or four different dumpsters throughout the campground. The one that woke me up was 100 feet or so away from my tent. Such a great spot to experience the quiet Yosemite has to offer, except at 730 am. This was on a Wednesday morning.

I am in love with this campground, and am glad that I took a chance to camp here. My husband and I were going to camp south of the park, but all the fires hit (there were 2-3 major fires going on and the south end of the park was closed...glacier road, bridalveil creek, mariposa entrance...) so we drove to the tioga road and took our chances. The turnoff into the campground isn't a long road, and is paved, which is great if you don't have a truck (unlike other campgrounds in the park have choppy, dirt roads.) The way the campground is laid out is this: there are some spots that are very private, and some that are not, about half and half. So, if you get there early, you can snag a more private spot. Also, what's cool about this campground is that is a very alpine-looking campground. There are some campsites that are nestled in alpine trees, others that have the alpine boulders near them, which gives you the option what kind of camp site you are looking for. The bathrooms in this campground were pretty darn clean for a campground, and they flush. The only thing I have to say is that both set of bathrooms are more on one side of the campground, so if you are on the other side of the campground, you have to walk. Also, right outside of the campground is the White Wolf Lodge, which is a very small lodge that is quaint. It does not interfere with your camping experience since its outside of the actual campground, so there are no worries. There is also a trailhead for Lukens Lake right outside of the campground, a very easy-moderate hike that just about anyone can do.
