We visited on New Years Eve to rent 5 snowboards. Paid over $400 and left. All seemed well but it wasn't. Things quickly went sideways. Apparently, WWL staff misplaced their copy of our receipt so they called 30 minutes later and harassed my minor son who answered the phone. Mike, who later told us it was him who called (although call came from Larry W's phone), opened conversation by calling him a "thief" and said he would call authorities and have all of us arrested for stealing equipment. Multiple members of our group, including my other very young child, heard threats and were alarmed. I got on the phone and said there must be mix-up because we have our copy of the receipt. Mike threatened to call police in 15 minutes if I wasn't back at White Wolf location (we would have had a hard time getting back up mountain in that amount of time). Luckily, I had documentation handy and provided receipt information. The staff, after some muffled communication, finally found documents and staff rudely ended call while I was still trying to speak with them. Our group was quite upset after hearing threats and insults Mike (or perhaps Larry) hurled at our group. The behavior of White Wolf's management is shockingly rude, unprofessional, and incompetent.||||Honestly, I expected then to call me back with serious apology or some sort of olive branch for their treatment of our family. Nope! They didn't call or do anything to correct the situation or make things right. Any competent manager or individual who has ever worked in the service industry knows that you should try to make things right with customers somehow after you've made a mistake or provided bad service. This went beyond any normal conception of BAD. In this case, the staff harassed our family after we paid full price for equipment and hurled threats over the phone at a minor because of WWL's own incompetence with paperwork. Anyone would agree that's a pretty big mistake and a big deal.||||Later returned equipment. One of the male staff members actually physically put his hand on me during discussions of what occurred. Mike arrived in his truck and, instead of admitting he made mistake and apologizing, dishonestly said he spoke to my son kindly and never made any threats or accusations. By this point, however, a female manager from upstairs had already admitted he did (heard by multiple members of our group). And, of course, our group had heard Mike (from Larry's phone) say these things originally. Plus, he had made similar threats to me directly over the phone in the originally conversation. Instead of being honest and providing competent customer service with a family WWL had clearly wronged, Mike said, "You know how we are going to make things right? You are going to leave right now."||||We showed documentation of the receipt for payment to the authorities and evidence of harassing call from Larry W's phone and left. ||||Don't do business with this shockingly rude and incompetent business. After you pay, the managers may harass your family too and then and refuse to admit their mistakes.
