Decent camp ground, but I wouldn't stop here if you live locally. what a lame park. The dog area is super small and tight up against a bunch of picnic areas that have signs saying no dogs. There's no fence in the "dog area" so the dogs can easily walk over to the picnic area. Then the train tracks are tight against the dog park so good luck when your dog gets spooked by a train going through right next to you.

We are not the type to write reviews but this was an awful experience that we needed to share. For such a beautiful spot on Whitefish Lake we expected a lot….so we were so disappointed. Our spot was #9 ADA which the 30 amp service was nonfunctional due to a faulty circuit breaker. Train noise is absolutely horrendous every 30mins-an hour everyday all day as it runs directly above you and shakes the ground. Showers cost $3 for 6 mins via tokens at booth (must purchase while open). Showers are literally in same area as toilets and sinks which water turns cold every time someone is occupying them. Did I mention there’s mold on the shower walls? It needs a DEEP clean. Area not maintained or mowed, we had kcups and garbage all around our site upon arrival. All other sites beside ADA are gravel with no areas for a tent if you have an RV. We had people blasting music til 3am and being very obnoxious- no patrol to stop them. All other sites beside ADA are gravel with no areas for a tent if you have an RV. No dump station or gray water disposal-you must go to Cenex off 13th and 93 behind the building to dump for free. We had parked our truck at a drop off spot for floating the river and had a local friend drop us off at our camp to change. As we came around the corner to site 9 we were cut off by a speeding park ranger in her atv. She jumped out visibly furious and basically yelled at us for not stopping at stop sign. We explained the situation, apologized and thought it was settled only to see her back at our site within 5 minutes yelling on the phone which we could hear from our camper- taking pictures of our friends license plate and saying we drive out the locals? She continued yelling unprofessionally until my husband deescalated the situation. So long story short-stop at booth always or you will screamed at by a not so happy woman- seems like she takes pride in it though so you do you. We won’t be returning and you shouldn’t waste your time here, happy camping!

Quite small an area but good for relaxing on beach and doing some water play activities

Incredibly well kept park that when we attended was very quiet. The lone staff member we encountered was more than friendly and have advice on what to do or see here when we brought our dogs. The lake was one of the more beautiful lakes we saw on our entire trip in Montana. I can absolutely see it being a mad house during the summer with campers and boaters. Came during early fall and only saw 8 other people, no other dogs There is a small "dog only" beach area that is right next to the human only beach. So during a busy peak time I could see that getting a bit problematic. But we were very happy to come here. Be advised that there is a $8 day use fee.

Awesome campground for long-distance cyclists. Loved the pavillion for preparing food that had outlets for charging powerbanks/devices and also a bike stand clamp for working on a bike. Nice little beach on the lake. Enjoyed the showers after a few days of campsites without one

A lovely little State Park campground. Excellent campsites. A few can handle larger rigs. Clean bathrooms/shower house. The beach is beautiful. There is a dog exercise area on the beach. The only downside is the train traffic/noise. It feels like you are living under the F train in Queens.

The actual site was nice and not too close to other sites. There was foliage and trees between sites. The main reason I marked this site down is because there is no path down to the lake, and it would have to be a steap slope and across the road if there was one. The pit toilets could have been cleaner as this campground had a camp host.

Beautiful setting. Friendly hosts. Add $3 for a 5 min shower, $6 for some firewood and a train that kills all the good this setting offers and I am thinking twice before another night. Bathrooms can be cleaner. The scenery is why you go there.
