Giving this a 4 star only because it's after Hill Inlet Lookout and views from scenic flight in terms of beauty. The soft white sand and glassy waters cater to all sorts of fun activities, and it'll forever continue to be a popular tourist destination!!!

Whitehaven Beach, located in the heart of the Whitsundays, is nothing short of a tropical dream come true. From the moment you set foot on its pristine silica white sands, you are transported to a world of unparalleled beauty and tranquility. The sand here is not just white; it’s a dazzling, powdery substance that feels like silk underfoot, making every step a delight. The beach is truly magnificent, with some impressive wildlife. There were few people there when we went, which allowed us to swim peacefully in the relatively warm, turquoise water. It was a beautiful day, and I don't regret the investment to get there.

Google
One the best beaches I have seen till today. It’s very worth taking a full day cruise from Hamilton island to whitsunday.

This place is absolutely stunning! The breathtaking views, incredible beach, and mesmerizing vibrant colors make it truly one of the most beautiful spots I’ve ever experienced in Australia! The best part is the opportunity to enjoy the beach and swimming, embracing the beauty of nature.

Came here on a cloudy day and wet day, but at least it was a nice view. Rain held off also, so I was able to get a good decent view and pictures 📸 snaps. Would have been great on a sunny day didnt see any rays or sharks compared to a clearer day. Must see if you're in the Whitsunday area.

Google
Great beach would highly recommend going to hill inlet lookout to see from the viewpoint for the best view! You can see stingrays from up there and the sand is white!

Yelp
This was AMAZING! i now see why it's in the top 10 beaches! the sand felt and looked like snow but I went on a cloudy day so we didn't have the pure blue water from the ocean.

Yelp
Amazing beach. It was so incredible to see this iconic place in person. We went with a group and our guide was able to give us fun facts about the place such as the fact one of the Pirates was filmed there. The water was the perfect temperature

Yelp
Holy, the mother of white sand beaches and turquoise waters! Whitehaven Beach was voted one of the top 10 beaches in the world, and I can definitely see why. The turquoise blues of the ocean in the Whitsunday islands are amazing!! You get the vibrant colors and the clearest water you've ever set foot in. As your boat makes it to the coastline of Whitehaven Beach, you're just struck with awe as you see the contrast of white silica sand and blue waters! You HAVE to take a boat, seaplane or helicopter to this beach, and it expands a 7km stretch along Whitsunday Island. You are left staring blue waters and white sand, as far as the eye can see. The 97-98% crystal white silica sand isn't suppose to absorb heat, so they say it never gets too hot. There isn't much in terms of shade though, unless you go to the shelter/picnic area. They have decent "drop holes" as restrooms. Beware of the large "iguanas" in the scrubs.. cause they are HUGE (like the US version of a Kimoto Dragon). It was nice to get to see Hamilton Island and this amazing view of the Hill Inlet! Be prepared with lots of sunscreen and the white silica sand getting into every crevice possible! They also recommend a stinger suits cause tiny jellyfishes are present during the summer months! There are also a few bush walks around the area for more sites!

Yelp
Definitely recommend, try to choose longer stay at the beach tours. We have sailed for four days so we had plenty of time at the island and beach but the tours spent couple of hours which seemed bit in a hurry in such a beautiful place.

Yelp
Whitehaven Beach, on the island of Whitsunday, is an absolute must for any traveller to the Whitsunday Islands situated along the Barrier Reef of Australia: pure white, silica sand, turquoise, aqua-blue and champagne coloured warm waters, stunning oceanic scenery (make sure you climb up to the look-out at the top of the island, panoramic views to take your breath away...), beautiful, tropical fish and coral to observe whilst diving or snorkelling. Now we know why they named it "Whitehaven": this beach is Heaven in its purest form.
