We had a lovely visit tonthe Museum. The tour guide (Richard) was superb and incredibly knowledgeable. The tour itself (80 mins approx) was a little too long for our 9 year-old. The cafe is great and Keely behind the counter was so bubbly and chatty. She really made us feel welcome. The food was very good and reasonably priced. We thought our visit would be about an hour and a half, but all in all we spent almost 4 hours there!

Absolutely Brilliant Museum. Highly recommend. Hidden Gem in Northern Ireland not promoted enough! The place was a lot bigger than I imagined. Staff so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

We went here today and we absolutely loved it. My two kids (12 & 10) were fascinated with the history behind the steam trains. We took our time around the museum and looked at all the objects on display. The staff were very very helpful and welcoming. We had a coffee and milkshakes in the cafe, highly recommend.

We attended the recent 'all aboard for christmas' The railway museum and staff are all lovely. That i cant fault. And the santa presents are fab. However I was not aware that the train doesn't leave the station. These are the words used in the advertising "Begin your visit with a short steam train ride, where the whole family can enjoy the magic of travelling by heritage rail. As the train chuffs along the track, little imaginations will come alive with excitement" it definitely was short.... chugging back and forward less than 50 meters 3/4 times was definitely not getting the magic of traveling by heritage rail. I believe a family had travelled from Dublin for this experience. Id be devastated. We traveled for 40mins. The experience including looking around the museum last 1 hour. I definitely think you need to reword and advise people this will not leave the station. I had to speak to a member of staff for information.. I really hope you win the case against NIR to get the trains back out there.

Excellent guided tour by an enthusiastic volunteer. There's a lot more there than we thought. We spent 2 hours there and had very good soup for lunch.

An amazing visit today to the Whitehead Museum with a wonderful guide. She explained a lot about the history of the locomotives and the events of the years when they reigned supreme on the rails. It was really cool to see the N85 there and, by the way, just how big it is.πŸš‚πŸšƒπŸšƒπŸšƒπŸšƒβ€οΈ

Both kids and adults had a great day here. Went for the Santa experience and everyone was really friendly, all was nicely organised, and the cafe was great. Definitely recommended. There is also a great playground for the kids close by and plenty of parking.
