My daughters (age 14) and I toured around Ireland for three weeks and still recall our two night stay at Whitepark B&B as our most memorable place to stay. The house is beautiful and very comfortable with many thoughtful touches. Bob is a warm and welcoming host. In my whole life, no man has ever put a kettle on and set out a lovely welcome pot of tea with biscuits. Heaven! Sounds like a small thing but such gestures are one of the aspects of hospitality that are often overlooked. At breakfast which was wonderful and quite generous (still thinking about that lovely potato bread), Bob offered many options. He observed that my daughter had carefully carved around the egg yolk and eaten the white. We tease her about this but she Does.Not.Like.Egg.Yolks. The next morning, my daughter's eggs arrived - whites only. She was thrilled. The rooms are gorgeous - the type you would hope to have on a honeymoon - beautifully decorated, gorgeous views and very special. We were sorry to leave and will always remember our stay at Whitepark House. It is highly recommended.

Stepping through the door at Whitepark House is almost like stepping back to a more elegant time. Bob, the host extraordinaire, has furnished the home with items from his travels and you are instantly put at ease by the soothing surroundings and Bob's graciousness. Our room was enormous and exceedingly comfortable, with an entry way, a sitting area and a separate bathroom. Breakfast in the sun room with a view of the beautiful garden is a treat. Bob has a wonderful deadpan sense of humor and unlimited knowledge of the area which he freely shares, including superb dining recommendations. The Ballintoy coastline is beautiful and gives you easy access to the Devil's Causeway and other landmarks. Don't miss Ballintoy harbor, a beautiful little spot and certainly don't miss a stay with Bob if you're heading to Northern Ireland!

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcomed by Bob, the proprietor of this lovely B and B. We were greeted with tea and afternoon treats, while Bob shared from his extensive knowledge of area activities. Our room was so comfortable and honestly lacked for nothing. The view over the lovely gardens was beautiful. Breakfast in the conservatory was such a relaxing, delicious experience. When our plans were rained out during part of one day, we could not have asked for a more comfy place to just relax and enjoy!

Whitepark House was one of the first B&Bs we visited during a recent (spring 2019) trip. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. Bob greeted us when we arrived and prepared tea for us as we settled in. He also provided a very hearty breakfast in a beautiful enclosed porch the two mornings of our stay. Bob’s suggestions and directions were much appreciated and we enjoyed the conversation we had with him.

We had an extremely enjoyable stay at Whitepark House. Absolutely lovely home, just across the road from the water. Great view. The Whitepark House is very centrally located along the Antrim coast, very convenient to everything. The breakfasts were superb, along with all the other aspects of the home. Bob will be glad to give you plenty of advice, recommend having an idea of what you want to do before you get there, and allowing him to just fill in the details. That is what we did. If you don’t, he is more than willing to orchestrate your complete itinerary with his extensive local knowledge. You will be made to feel very welcome there, nothing is spared. The rooms are spacious, our room overlooked the beautiful gardens, and the home is well decorated from all around Asia, and immaculately kept clean and functional. Maybe it is just me, but for that amount of tariff, I would expect a radio, TV, or something of the nature. Some may or may not like that, but if you don’t, just don’t switch it on. There is WiFi in the rooms (relatively good quality). Whitepark House is definitely the place to go, we would love to go back, already.

Bob runs a great operation and his home is very conveniently located to all of the wonders of the Antrim Coast. He makes a mean breakfast and the conservatory with the garden view is lovely. I would not hesitate to stay here again. I would note that for people who are not crazy about bed and breakfasts, this is not a place where you can be anonymous. Bob definitely likes things a certain way and prefers to know when you will be coming down for breakfast etc. He is very nice and very helpful. The house does have lots of knick knacks but everything is very clean and the property is just lovely. Nice showers and he had a twin room which was perfect for my teenagers. He was very kind to the kids and seemed happy to have them. Bob is very opinionated in terms of his recommendations. Most of his thoughts we followed. For instance, we visited Giant's Causeway one evening after an early dinner at his suggestion and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. I had made a reservation at a restaurant that was not one of his top choices and he seemed disappointed but the next day when we told him we really liked it, he said he was happy to know that. The Central Wine Bar that he recommended was great. He told us exactly where to park which made it so convenient. We also loved Tartine at The Distiller's Arms in Bushmills. We had the early bird dinner and very much enjoyed the food, especially the desserts! Lunch at the Red Door Café in Ballintoy was quite nice also. This is a gorgeous area that is very easy to navigate. Since it stays light so late in the summer, it was no problem to drive to a nearby village for dinner (I remember being slightly concerned that there was no restaurant within walking distance of Bob's). There seem to be lots of day trippers from Belfast and even Dublin but if you stay in the area a few nights you will be able to see some of the major spots without major crowds. This may be the longest review I have ever written. Just wanted to get it all out there as this is a relatively new area for lots of travelers and there are not tons of lodging options. Rick Steves recommends Portrush as a good place to stay. We drove by and I am sure it is fine but it is not as central and it just seemed busy and not very charming to me. I was very glad that we chose Whitepark House and I would love to return some day.

Well, it's almost been a year since we stayed at Whitepark House for our 50th wedding anniversary. The area of Ballintoy Harbour, Whitepark Bay, and Dunseverick has magical associations going all the way back to our joint childhoods, and we really can't think of more appropriate accommodation from which to explore it. From the warmth of Bob's welcome, to the fabulous rooms, our stay could not have been made more comfortable. For those of you who are fans of Game of Thrones, the bijou harbour at Ballintoy might be remembered from the Iron Islands. However, just a sort hike round the headland brings you to the fabulous golden strand of Whitepark Bay. And at the end of your day in the salt air, Whitepark House awaits. Perfect!

If I could give six stars I would. The whole B&B experience was fantastic. Bob our host made us feel at home and is very helpful. Sitting around the fire with a few glasses of red was so relaxing. The decor is very well done. Breakfast was excellent and so was the view of the rear garden while we ate. We would definitely come back!

Yelp
On the last night my boyfriend and I seriously considered murdering Bob and his wife and taking over the place so we could never leave. The house is beautiful, I love the decor and amazing collection of items they have from their travels. Bob was a fantastic host and welcomed us with tea and conversation. He was very helpful with attraction and food recommendations. The bedroom and bathroom was clean and very comfortable. We had a great view from our bedroom window. The house is in a central location to everything we wanted to do. Just a few miles from the rope bridge, Giant's Causeway and the Dark Hedges. There are few few small towns nearby in either direction with options for food and drink. One of my favorite things of staying here was having Bob's delicious breakfast. The food was great and the breakfast room was gorgeous. I would love to come back and stay here again, this house and the area were my favorite of my whole vacation.
