Loved our finale couple of nights at Whitianga and really enjoyed the wee ferry ride across the estuary. $8 return as I recall and only takes a couple of minutes. Whilst on the other side we walked up to Whitianga Rock and also did the longer walk upto Maramaratotara Lookout and down to the beach/bay. Highly recommended

$8 return for adult and runs late. Perfect, quick link from Cooks Beach to Whitianga. Friendly service, would definitely use again.

Ferry just drifts a stones throw away to the wharf on the opposite side haha. Single trip for adult = $5.00 Return trip for adult = $8.00 Water was beautiful and clear today.

What a great service. We are staying in cooks beach and nothing was open for dinner. We had a short and enjoyable trip over to whitianga. Driving was a lovely man

Love these little places that have Ferrys ⛴️ 😍. Instead of driving from Hot Water Beach to Whitianga, we drove to Ferry Landing, Cooks Beach, and caught the Ferry across to Whitianga. Excellent service!

Convenient and fun way to travel. Highly recommend in Whitianga!

Google
Expensive for such a short crossing, but without it, it’s a much longer drive around to whitianga. If you’re going to be around a while, ask for the prepay multiple trip tickets. This will save you around 30/40% and is for 40 trips

Super iconic to Whitianga. Catch the ferry from Whitianga Wharf to Ferry Landing where you can explore "the other side". This includes Shakespeare Cliff, Whitianga Rock and Flaxmill Bay. The cost isn't much but neither is the trip across. This has been running well before 1983 when I first arrived in Whitianga to live with my parents.

Yelp
While visiting haipei, i booked the 2 hour scenic sea cave adventure. What i liked: - at al times i felt safe in the boat - we did get slightly wet, given some strong winds. But nothing that wont dry before returning back. - great guidance - beautiful scenery Definitely good value for money. Tip:if you have an early morning trip, consider if you can reduce travel time by taking ferry from ferry landing to whitianga. Overall, we were with 7

Yelp
Worth every penny! Les will spend a few hours taking you around Cathedral Cove, the hot water beach, and several caves, all the while telling you the incredible history of the area. Grab some amazing photos as Les drives his boat into a cave and lets the boat do a 360° turn. At the end of the tour you're handed a snorkel and welcomed to hop out of the boat and see amazing marine life up close and personal. Don't forget to bring sunscreen and a towel!
