This is a beautiful auditorium on a beautiful college campus. The location is open air, with no walls enclosing the music hall. It's unfortunate. There is a large parking lot within < 200 feet from the auditorium. In the midde of the concert, some large truck decided it was time to leave, and had to backup from it's parking location. For the next 3+ minutes, in the middle of the music we all heard a low "Beep ..... Beep .... Beep." It was somewhere between 50 and 75 Beeps as the truck backing up emitted a warning sound. It was really quite a distraction and the personnel at the facility should have been aware of this and made the drive wait. It was unfortunate. Also, when I parked, it was in the overflow parking of the overflow lot. It's a bit of a walk and there must have been a thousand cars in the lot. I'd be at the end of the exit line! I can only imaging the traffic jam of the people leaving after the concert. I left during the second to last movement to get out of there ASAP and not stuck in what must have been at least a one hour traffic jam of people leaving. The entrance is in a nice neighborhood of home. I pitty those homeowner when ever there is an event.

Nice outdoor venue tucked into the mountains at Brevard Music Center. My son attended a 10 day jazz band camp here and performed in an end of camp concert. It was mild weather which made the evening very pleasant. The sound in the theater was good. The only critique I really have is that in offering electronic tickets, the WiFi is not good enough to load electronic tickets. You cannot take a screen shot of the tickets before you arrive. They were helpful at the venue and we were able to show proof of purchase to enter. Other than that, we were really impressed with the venue. Good to make note of, you are not allowed to take photos or videos of any kind during the concerts.

Our visit at Whittington-Pfohl Auditorium was very enjoyable. We had great seats that allowed us to enjoy Richard Smith and Tommy Emanuel for a 2 1/2 hour, or was it 3 hours long of fantastic and often unbelievable guitar music top of the line. World-class musicians. A very well laid out venue great lighting and acustics. You have to experience it for yourself. If my review helped you, please select LIKE. Have a blessed day.

Seats were a little too close together, and it was hard to hear the speakers because of the noisy people out in the grass (mostly kids), and maybe also because the microphones were not turned up enough. The parking was odd (you were basically completely blocked in once you parked), but the police did an amazing job of keeping traffic moving. We thought, mistakenly, that we'd be sitting for a long time waiting to get out, but we were off the property within 10 (maybe 5) minutes of getting in our car.

Wonderful amphitheater with beautiful music. If you can support this place, then please do so. It is located in beautiful Brevard, and the summer concert series is performed by talented students from all over the world!

Amazing sound and great view from any seat. Nice breeze keeps this outdoor venue reasonably cool in the summer.

The outdoor space warmly sets off both informal and elegant programs, and I have never had anything but excellent experiences hearing students, large ensembles, bluegrass jams, and even Garrison Keillor or PDQ Bach... Visit as early and often as you can.
