The pulled BBQ is just okay. Skip unless you are really hungry and this is your only option.
The sides are pretty blah. (Some are awful.) Skip them. All of them. Seriously tasteless.
The ribs can be good one day, greasy as heck the next. They leave the membrane on, which is gross, and is the difference between great ribs and just-okay ones. (Take the membrane off, guys.)
The sauce is wonderful -- good balance of tang and spice, and not too sweet.
****Smoked Wings -- best in town. That's right, smoked, not fried. This is what you go for. Balanced heat is provided by the seasonings, not sauce. (Not sauced or breaded is what I look for.) Some days they can be dry from sitting around, but it you catch them at the right time, they're nirvana. Dipping sauce is just your run-of-the-mill commercial salad dressing in little packs. They don't even bother to make their own. But I like these wings with no dipping sauce at all. Wings are smallish, but no smaller than those from your average chain restaurant.
Ask for a bag, otherwise they'll just shove the containers at you. Seriously, they're trying to save the extra 2 cents per order? (You don't want to end up with the stuff all over your car, or spilled out on the driveway.) We shouldn't have to ask for bags.
They close early on holidays, but never at the same time. This year it was 3:00 on Memorial Day, but 2:00 on the Fourth, so we missed out thinking they were closing at 3. The website needs to post the holiday hours.
So, for my money, it's 5 stars for the wings, 4 for the sauce, 2-3 for the ribs, 2 for the pulled Q, and zero for everything else.
