Stayed here for one night as was going to see a band at co-op live. This is not close by so recommend to stay closer if this is where you are going. The hotel has a nice entrance with a bar and other facilities. Check-in was a simple process. Staff were pleasant on check-in. We were informed that this was a 24hr bar and that we could get served at anytime as the front is always manned by staff. However at our return the evening after the concert. I was desperate for a drink of water or pop, and was informed by the person at the counter that he wasn't serving and that I had to go to the 24/7 Spar that was next door (Its a 5 minute walk and it was passed 11pm at this point.) I had unfortunately forgotten my room number which I am aware was my fault. However when I asked for help I had to spell my name three times out and I still couldn't be found in the system. Bit odd as they had took my details on arrival. The room was large, it was more like an apartment. If your like me and prefer a firm bed, the mattresses here are very soft. There was a few rowdy customers in the rooms near us coming in at the early hours of the morning which I know isn't the hotels fault but does disrupt a nights sleep. Overall this is was just about ideal for a one night stay and where your not at the room or hotel for most of the day.

I was really excited to stay here after reading such great reviews, sadly the experience was disappointing and with the choice of accommodation around you….this place can do better.||Great bar area, lovely reception and there’s a cafe and restaurant attached, so all the things you could want are there. I was placed in the basement floor and as soon as I entered the hallways I suspected the smell of damp would prevail in to my room. And yes it did. Sadly, the basement means that the windows do look slightly prison like and a bit bleak. However the room was beautiful, very comfortable bed and high quality linens. The bathroom was equally gorgeous and a huge walk in monsoon shower. Because of the damp air, your towels never fully dry. There’s no air con, but a very powerful fan is provided. Small kitchen with everything you need and done to a very high standard. I booked this room category, so if I can offer any advice and you want to avoid the issues I encountered, then book a room grade above. Btw, I loved the shower gel and shampoo/conditioner!!! Great fragrances used.||I did tell reception about the smell, they checked it out and said they sprayed some air freshener. This was frankly unacceptable and an amateur response for a hotel of this standard. I did say I didn’t expect a room change but to spray air freshener? Some lessons in customer service of a hotel of this standard needed.||I asked for a late check out, it’s £30 until 1pm. To be honest it’s not a huge sum of money, but again a hotel to this standard would normally give you a complimentary 15 or 30 minutes…anything, just to ensure that a level of customer service is being met.||The staff are very young, pleasant and friendly, but maybe some experience wouldn’t go amiss.

Best stay of Manchester, don’t even look for a different option. The stay kept getting better and better. First, the room is perfection. The bed is the comfiest bed and somehow always has that “cold side of the pillow” feeling. Also a working kitchen comfy sofa, even managed to record a podcast in my room. Second, coworking spot downstairs is gorgeous worked there every morning just to be in that beautiful environment. Third, and also the reason I will be forever staying here whenever I visit manchester, super friendly staff specifically the young lady Ekaterini in the brunch area (also really nice coffee and breakfast!) She really made us feel so welcome that just locked in that home feeling and made this whole stay an all-rounded stay. If you’re still reading, this is the best option just book the stay honestly ps theres also a gym

Everything about this hotel is perfect. Every staff i chatted to was friendly and fun to interact with. Rooms are out of this world, modern aesthetics. Views from the windows are on point. Would definitely book again to go there!!!

Stayed for conference. Room was very clean, with an extremely comfy bed and great facilities. Lighting and outlook could have been better - suggest providing net curtains for privacy. Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Looks good but needs a lots of improvement. Minimal sound proofing that you can hear all the road/street noise at night. Unstable hot water supply. Hot water is individually supplied in a small water tank, so it will be used up quickly after a shower. Really disappointing as the hotel overall looks good and the price is not cheap too.

Fantastic first stay at Whitworth Locke! All staff are amazingly friendly and helpful, and couldn't do enough for us. A lovely touch provided to celebrate our anniversary also (thanks again). Even managed to check in ahead of the usual 4pm as the room was ready as we arrived to drop the bags off at 1.15. Room (one bedroom suite) was spacious, and extremely clean with everything you could possibly need. Bed was comfy, bathrobes are a lovely touch, shower was powerful and warm. Room location was very quiet. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will certainly look to stay again.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and even gave some great food recommendations, which was a nice touch. The check-in process was smooth and easy. The room itself was spotless and very spacious, with everything you could need for a longer stay—stove, full fridge, washing machine, and even a dishwasher. We were only there for one night, but it would be perfect for a longer visit. The bed was really comfortable, and the dining area in the room was a great addition. The only minor downside was that the room wasn’t very soundproof, so outside noise was noticeable. However, this wasn’t a huge issue—earplugs would easily solve it. The bar was reasonably priced, and Foundation Coffee was a standout, with excellent coffee, pastries, and friendly service. Overall, a fantastic place to stay in a brilliant location. I’ll definitely be returning!
