Walking distance from my hotel the Old Alexandria Hilton, this whole food was my lunch, breakfast and snack time instead of some of the local restaurants. It was clutch with its lowish prices and variety of energy drinks to power me thru my day.
There's a parking garage on the bottom of the store. Not sure where the car entrance is because I was on foot.
Entrance has a security guard there. You walk in and you can go right to the cashiers or left to the produce. It's a nicely lit and well organized store. Starting in the back left of the store and going clockwise you have the produce and tons of organic stuff. Continuing on you have the fresh fish and poultry station. Followed by frozen chicken etc. Followed by the cheeses. Then comes the hot bar food where there is an olive bar, a salad bar, and hot food such has summer squashes, meatloaf, meatballs and whatever else is on that daily menu. Right behind the hot bar is a sandwich bar which includes one dedicated to impossible meats. In front of the hot bar is a section for cold drinks and pre made sandwiches. Rounding out the section includes bread and pastries tucked in the corner. The middle of the store has 10+ aisles of frozen food, beer, chips, dog food, and whole body care such as lotion, facial items etc.
Staff is pretty cool. They are just buzzing around and doing their job. Pretty direct. Not a ton of smiles but super efficient.
You can pay at the counter with a human, or pay at the self checkout. They accept cash, card, or you can pay with your palm (via Amazon). If you have Amazon Prime, you can search to see if there's discounts associated with your account. After you check out you can sit and eat your food. There's seating for 50 people inside or outside.
Last but not least by the produce section there is a customer service desk. They sell shirts there too.
