Whole Foods Market

This place is amazing. I go here sometimes and have never had a bad experience. The produce, meat, and fish always look fresh. I had an apple a few weeks back and it was fresh and juicy. It is always clean and the associates are respectful and friendly. I get their spring water which is only $1.49 and is amazing. It is very well organized.

I went to the coffee section at Whole Foods Market for the first time to try their signature matcha, and I’m so glad I did! Kelvin, the barista, made my drink PERFECT. The matcha tasted amazing — smooth, flavorful, and made exactly right. You can tell he really cares about what he’s making. He was sweet, welcoming, and super quick with my order, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for a new coffee spot or want to try their matcha, definitely stop by and ask for Kelvin. He truly made my first visit a great one. I’ll definitely be back! 💚✨

I love it here. So much variety. My go to's here are the Royo Bagels, 10 Calorie Suja Pineapple, Ginger and Lemon Love and recently the Good Culture Prebiotic Cream Cheese Spread and Banana Nut Elizabeth Oatmeal. I haven't had the food in the cafe or their food buffet but everything looks delicious. I'll update if I ever try it. There's free parking.

As a long time Whole Foods customer, I’m disappointed to say that after several recent experiences I will no longer be shopping here. Over the past four to five months the level of customer service has consistently been poor. Staff members often seem unwilling to assist customers. Instead of walking someone to an item or helping retrieve what is needed, employees frequently point in a direction or avoid engagement altogether. During my most recent visit at self checkout I asked for a bag, which customers are required to pay for, and was told to go find another employee instead of being assisted by the staff member already working that station. What made the situation even more troubling was that immediately after dismissing my request the same employee ran to assist another (white) customer who asked for help. As a Black customer experiences like that are difficult not to question. The inconsistency is noticeable in other areas of the store as well, including the return section, where assistance seems to be given selectively without any clear process. I have also repeatedly overheard employees gossiping about previous customers once they have walked away, which creates an uncomfortable and unprofessional atmosphere. It leaves you wondering if the same thing is being said about you the moment you are out of earshot. It is disappointing to see such a consistent lack of basic customer service and professionalism at a store that prides itself on quality and community. After months of these experiences I have decided I will no longer shop at this location. Whole Foods and Amazon can and should do better. For added context I actually work for Amazon….

They are great. The staff is very helpful and the store is clean, as well as the seating area. The products are a bit pricey, but worth it because of the quality. There was an issue with our cake order that was not prepared, but in a few minutes they were able to offer a solution. Everyone was very helpful and gave updates on the situation quickly and regularly. Thanks again! As usual those cakes were great, and the whole party loved them. You can taste the fruits, the cream isn't too much, the overall goes well together and is not too sweet.

Update on January 6th, 2025. There was a time when Whole Foods was a great store before Amazon owned it. Just returned from vacation and went to get some groceries. There was nothing on the shelves. This doesn’t happen at Trader Joe’s. They prepare before the store opens. It was so frustrating to shop there on a Monday morning, note to self not to do it again and to get to Trader Joe’s instead. When I asked for help locating some produce, the employee told me he didn’t know if they had any that he just got there and continued loading his lettuce, not interested in helping at all. He said there’s nothing on the shelves because yesterday was Sunday and busy! Really? #TraderJoe’s please come to Jersey City! No fresh pizza dough! Sold out by 3:00. In the past in NY and CA, the pizza chef is happy to share the dough. Not here. Nothing in frozen either except cauliflower and almond crust. Only whole wheat in the bread section and nothing in front end. Now that owned by Amazon, service is down and unhelpful. #traderjoes we need you! Please come to Jersey city! Update: On Sunday June 8 and Monday June 9 there was so many bear shelves once again. Heard on the news that this was due to a cyber security attack on a distributor. No signs warning shoppers except on empty shelves. Have not heard a peep from Whole Foods. Update Oct 6, Need to ask food health services to check this WF out. Yesterday all the lettuce was brown. It seems others before me had also been searching for fresh lettuce as they were strewn all over the place. Awhile back all the ice cream was half price because it was so soft. Such a disappointment. Great place to shop with validated parking for 90 min when you spend $10. 5 min walk from Grove Path. Plenty of 365 products that are affordable and great quality. Check out the meat department for that old style butcher feel and buy some truffle butter to smother your steak in! Seafood has a special on oysters every Friday. Plenty of things to fit any budget

Love the store. One small suggestion: on the second floor there are two restrooms — one labeled “Men” and one labeled “Men & Women.” This effectively provides two restroom options for men but only one for women. It might be more balanced to label the shared restroom as “All-Gender.”
