This small restaurant has really delicious food, the staff is really friendly and kind. The staff answered all the questions I had about the menu and prices. They don’t have a parking lot which makes parking very difficult. They have plenty seating inside the restaurant is well maintained and is clean. Overall I recommend this restaurant if you’re in for treat.

Stopped by Why Not Kebab and had a great experience. The staff were super friendly and recommended the chicken kebab plate, which I went with, glad I did! The chicken was marinated and juicy. The food came out hot, fresh, and in a generous portion. The restaurant was clean, and they had a live women's soccer game on TV, which was a nice bonus. Definitely a spot I’d come back to.

One of my favorite places to eat in Glendale! First of all the kebab is authentic , high quality, and fresh. Their lentil soup , which is a family recipe , is off the charts. Warm, comforting and delicious. On top of all that the service is friendly and attentive. It’s a family restaurant and you really feel like you’re eating in their home . Their takeout is great too if you want something filling and tasty but don’t want to break the bank- their meals are bug enough for 2 people - all good things to say about this place . 5 outta 5 stars!

Excellent Persian/Mediterranean food restaurant. Their kabobs are the bombs, meat is very tender, the spices on the spot. The chicken was very tender and juicy not dried. The Greek salad was very fresh and crisp, hummus was great and so is the eggplant dip. I would highly recommend this place for everyone to come try it out. I am sure you’ll be back for more.

It's a mother & son restaurant or at least from what I can tell. The service is amazing, so kind and welcoming. The food is excellent, really juicy and tender. The veggies and pita are great and just add to a great plate of food. Will be coming back for sure. It's a must to go! 😁

Everyone always mentions Raffi's Place when talking about Glendale, and while I won't deny that the food there is good, in my opinion it's become extremely overpriced and overhyped over the years. This place, however, is what a true neighborhood gem actually feels like. It's a family-owned business where you can tell everything is made with care and pride. The food is genuinely made in-house, including the sauces (which alone deserve their own shout-out), and you can taste the freshness in every bite. Nothing feels mass-produced or rushed. The service is one of the best parts of the experience--it honestly feels like being welcomed into someone's home. The staff is warm, attentive, and truly cares that you're enjoying your meal, which is something that's becoming harder and harder to find these days. And the best part? It's so affordable for the quality you're getting. You leave full, happy, and not questioning why your bill is shockingly high. In a city where prices keep climbing, it's refreshing to find a place that delivers amazing food, generous portions, and heartfelt hospitality without trying to cash in on hype. If you're looking for authentic, fresh, comforting food with fair prices and a family-run atmosphere, this spot deserves way more attention than the usual overhyped names. I'll absolutely be coming back--and recommending it to anyone who asks.

The beef luleh kebab was pretty good. The kebab was flavorful, the plate came with a fresh salad, grilled veggies, sliced onions, bread, and I went with rice for the side. I definitely fully enjoyed the food. The only remark I have is that it does not come with sauce, you'll have to remember to ask for it and also pay extra if I remember correctly. This is a common issue with Armenian restaurants here for some reason. Just throw a couple sauces in it's not a big deal, especially for non Armenians; it's pretty odd trying to eat meat with 0 sauce. I think it's a very small cost but drastically changes the experience. This goes to all the Armenian restaurants, not just this one. It's embarrassing. Everything was pretty good and enjoyable and the staff was friendly, definitely coming back.

2025 - Small place with a few tables but a nice vibe and friendly service. Food/Pricing - The prices aren't bad considering the portion size. Plus it was absolutely delicious. From the salad to the meats and the rice, yummy. Parking - Street parking but it wasn't difficult to find. Just be careful as it is located on a busy street.

I've driven past this place and always wanted to try it. I'm happy that I did. The chicken shish and beef luleh plate hit the spot. The chicken was wonderfully seasoned and was super tender. The beef luleh was also seasoned well, but I wish it was a bit juicier. My only regret was not realizing that the plate didn't come with any kind of hummus or toum. It needed a sauce to bring it all together. The pat of butter and spritz of lemon helped a little bit, but after bites of rice, pita, and meat I was in need of a sauce of some kind. The potato fries weren't really all that crispy, but the inside was so buttery soft-- a fine result after being shallow fried in a cast iron skillet. I could eat plates and plates of it.

The staff here was really friendly and their service was very fast. This place is a good spot for a quick casual bite to eat for small groups since there's limited seating, but we arrived here on a Sunday afternoon with no wait. I ordered the beef luleh and filet. The portion was really big, enough for 2 people to share and feel full. The beef tastes healthy, compared to other kebab places I've been to. It wasn't oily and I would've preferred it to be slightly saltier, it was bland in my opinion, and the beef was overcooked, not as juicy as other places I've tried. I might come back if I'm in the area, since I think the price and portion is good.

Staple to the Glendale food scene. Kind staff and food is well seasoneed. Easy street parking and restaurant is clean. Few tables to sit and eat but also great for take out.

Food was delicious we order three kinds of kebab and each one was more delicious than the other very nice meat and fresh made salad. The service was excellent the lady was full of smile and professional. For sure this is my new home far from my home for sure going back very soon.

Why Not Kabob is a splendid little middle eastern kabob joint with flavor, personality, and value as provocative as its name. Our family came on a Friday evening and shared a Beef Filet and Chicken Shish plate ($31) as well as a Beef Luleh plate ($19). Both were made fresh on the grill to order and accompanied by rice, veggies, and both lavash and pita bread. The meat was succulent and hot, the rice soft and filling, and the accompanying salad rounded off each plate well. The Luleh was tasty yet not dry, the chicken flavorful and moist, and the filet rich. The food was of very high quality - similar to that of any upscale middle eastern restaurant in Glendale, and incredibly fresh. While not the greatest kabob of my life, the food was better than I expected for a restaurant designed mostly for takeout and delivery. The service was effusive and amicable. The restaurant has been family owned for years and it shows. We were greeted warmly, placed our order and had it delivered to us, and invited to pull anything we wanted from the drink fridge. The two gentlemen working that evening were very friendly with everyone who came in the door, including two police officers. I'm glad to see the restaurant is such a friend of the force - as documented by the many police badges adorning one of the walls. The ambiance is clean and modern. I liked all the family references throughout (see photos). Special mention must be made for the restaurant name. The provocative question has made me laugh every time I have driven by in the last few months and is worth many style points in my book. The prices are also very reasonable for food of this caliber; again, we're working with restaurant level quality at takeout prices and convenience. An excellent value by any measure. If you're looking for a quick, inexpensive, and delicious meal with exemplary service, you really can't go wrong with this restaurant. Truly, Why Not Kabob? Let's get straight to it -- this is hands down the best kabob place ever! The food is insanely good. The pork rib literally melts in your mouth, and the beef luleh kabob is packed with flavor. The hummus and the yogurt with cucumber? So fresh and delicious. The people here make the whole experience even better. They treat you like family -- the kind you actually want to hang out with! Everyone's super friendly and welcoming. The mom wasn't there today, which was a bummer because she's honestly like a sweet grandma -- always so warm and makes you feel right at home. The vibe is great too. The décor is simple but cozy, and the place just stands out. I totally forgot to take a picture, but trust me, it's worth checking out. (I've already been back once more like for 10 years ,) and I'll definitely keep coming back. You should too!

Can't speak for the food as I didn't even get a chance to purchase anything, however the customer service was a terrible experience at first impression. I came to an event next door and was starving after driving two hours. Reviews were great and thought I'd try it out. I was kicked out on sight for walking into the restroom first to wash my hands (someone was at the checkout counter) thought I'd use the restroom then order. Told the gentlemen I was going to make a purchase, kicked me out either way. Not sure if my race was an issue, my appearance, or my gender? but i left with no meal :/

This Glendale hole in the wall is serving up some really bold flavors with their tasty kabobs. I loved their Greek Salad with fresh veggies and all of the dips were so tasty. I got their plate with their assortment of meats including chicken shish kabob, beef filet and beef lulleh and all were so juicy.

Service is great, food is freshly cooked and served restaurant style. Ambience is modern, simple and clean. Food is good and plentiful. My only desire was that the toum be included with the meal and not added at a separate cost.

Very average for a kebab place, the chicken Lule didn't taste good at all, quite disappointing. Beef lule was good as well as the Ikra and the yogurt sauce with shallots. Overall I don't think I will order from there again.

Food is great, the kabob is the best I have ever tried, tender, savory and juicy. Definitely one level up then usual restaurant. They told me it's handmade every morning and fresh, so that's why it takes so good. Food is serves with reasonable speed, no too fast but acceptable. The owner are very nice and kind and warm hearted. The place is overall quiet and parking nearby is not too difficult.

This quiet gem has been here for 11 years and we just only stumbled upon it today and we will definitely be back! I ordered the 3 skewer combo plate (luleh, steak filet and chicken) so I can get a sample of the most popular kabobs. Hubby got the beef luleh kabob plate. It did not disappoint! The food came out fresh and delicious. The portion size is pretty big, definitely shareable if you eat appropriate portion sizes. All the tables were full when we arrived, but we didn't have to wait long and we were seated before our order came out. The gentleman who took our order was so helpful and very friendly, made us feel very welcomed. It's definitely worth the drive further down Brand for the hospitality and great meal!

The current prices listed on the Yelp review page of Why Not Kabob are outdated, so I have posted pictures of the current menu. As of this review, the Chicken Luleh, Beef Luleh, and Chicken Shish plates are $16.99. The individual Chicken and Beef Luleh Kabob is $4.99. So with that, I've been hunting for the best Chicken Luleh places in Glendale, CA, and Why Not Kabob was not bad! When in Glendale, I'm always trying to find good Mediterranean food, and sometimes it's a hit or miss, to be honest. This place is very small, family-owned, and, like other Yelpers have expressed, very good customer service. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The place is very small, so it can't fit too many people. There was also only one parking spot in front, and it was taken, so I had to wait until the car left. There is construction next door, so there was very limited parking. Overall, not bad! Also, the rice was really good. They also offer large party plates but for big groups of people. I wish they consider doing a bit of a smaller party plate for 3-4 people with like 4-5 kabobs, rice, and salad. If they do, I definitely would come more often.

Stopped by WHY NOT KABOB while waiting for an oil change and honestly loved the food! The meet was juicy and flavorful, the rice STEAMING hot (which is great durning this cold weather), and the humus was delicious...the perfect addition to the plate. Service was great too, everyone was so kind and they even gave me a drink on the house. I'd come back here again or cater for a party :)

Once you walk into the restaurant you know this is a point of pride for the owner. The place is absolutely immaculate, clean and bright. The staff is as friendly as you could imagine and welcome you in as though you are family. Of course the best part is the food. The food is incredible in a city where kabob is not hard to find. Our first time trying WHY NOT KABOB and omg.. It was delicious! Family owned restaurant with a home style cooking that will make you feel happy after your meal. We ordered several dishes to give it a try and we left the restaurant happy and full lol We love kabob restaurants and this is for sure one of our new favorites. We got to meet the owners and they were super welcoming and friendly. Thank you so much for an amazing lunch!

When you travel overseas I cross my fingers to find that "hidden gem", where the grandma brings out the food to truly get the "mom and pop" experience. That's the exact experience my girlfriend and I got at Why not Kabob. Right as you walk in you're greeted with a "Welcome to our Family" sign and that's exactly how they treated us. You must have their Beef Luleh! Ive had Beef Luleh at plenty other restaurants but this was the first time ever where when I cut the meat juice literally was flowing out. Truly fortunate to have eaten at Why not Kabob, and is a must stop for an authentic Mediterranean experience.

Absolutely enjoy this food. Great service, portions are a good amount. This was my first time eating here and will definitely be back. You won't be disappointed.

In Glendale for a funeral and afterwards my wife and I were famished. She came across Why Not Kabob on her phone. We got there and were met by a wonderfully happy gentleman! He suggested the chicken shish and beef luleh. SO DELICIOUS! This place is GREAT! We live in Upland but if we're in Glendale, guess where we're going? You guessed it! Why Not Kebob!!! Great family running the place and so warm and welcoming! Loved it! Loved it! LOVED IT!!!

The meat have an incredible flavor. Wasn't a fan of the fries but other than that every single dish I tried blower my mind. Specially LA is hard to find good falafel places. Today I was in Glendale for work and I was craving some kebabs so I went on yelp and looked this place up and it was definitely a place to go. All I could say is wow the customer service and the ambience was beautiful small hole in the wall with some of the best kebabs I've ever had. I got the chicken and beef and my wife got the filet mignon. The yogurt dipping sauce was delicious sorry I don't remember the name but this place is 10 out of 10. I definitely will be back next time.

I'm persian, and this Kabob place is official! The meat melts in your mouth. The salads are amazing (tabouleh and shirazi are mouth watering good). The service is amazing. I love this family owned mom&pop stores that make you feel so welcome. Owner was explaining that all the meat and salad, everything, is made fresh as they go. Not even at the beginning of the day, it's made throughout the day as orders come in. Very clean too. They have high chairs too. Kid friendly. Def recommend.

I recently moved to LA and have been looking for a good Kabob restaurant and am really glad I found this place. The food is great, the portions are large, and the service is amazing. They treat you like family here and really go above and beyond to make sure you enjoyed your food and your time here.

We were looking for a quick bite in Burbank, and happened upon Why Not Kabob. Let me say that this is a family run business with a very home cooking feeling. We ordered a couple of chicken and beef plates. That was enough food to feed the 4 of us. Let me say that if you like your meals to be served and eaten at a slower pace, this is definitely the spot for that. Although it took a while to get our food, all of the food was good and reasonably priced. We felt like we got personalized service. The food was definitely made to order. All in all, I would give them a try. The only thing that would have been nice would be if they had a falafel option for some of the dishes. That would kick it up a notch. However, you should give them a try. You'll be happy that you visited.

I came here before work and I was really hungry ! I actually found this place on Google maps while searching for lunch spots around the area. It was my first time there and I was so happy to see that they have Chicken Luleh! It was delicious and the plate was very very filling. This is a family business that works very hard to make delicious food. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to be back !

Was in the area and originally wanted to go to Raffi's place but decided to try something knew. Found this place on google maps and the experience here was lovely. The guy working here was friendly and was talking to us like we were family. He asked why we were around the area and i told him to check out wedding venues. He then searched up and recommended a lot more wedding venues on his phone. Service was amazing and food was delicious. We ordered the combo with the 3 different meats. The portions are huge that I had to take my leftovers home. Not complaining about that! I definitely would come back here again.

This little gem has always had excellent service. They even take time to let you know what other items you can choose to get if you like one thing a bit more. I remember going here last year for the 1st time and thought their food was delicious so it was about time I made time to go back! After looking at their menu online, I decided to call them to place an order. I ended up ordering a combo Chicken, Beef Luleh, and Skewers They serve a side salad and some pickled onions which pair well with the food! I also ordered a side of hummus and Tzatziki on the side! This restaurant has affordable prices and 2, if not 3 people can be fed with this platter!!! They offer mobile payments and curbside pick up as well which is definitely a huge plus for me!

Not so satisfied with the food, my husband and I went there for lunch we both got food poison, and got very sick.
