Wiang Inn Hotel

Me and my friends have booked Wiang inn hotel for 3 nights. We had a great stay. Rooms were big and very clean. Service minded and smiling staff. Nice bar with live music in the evening. Very nice swimming pool. And hotel is very close to Restaurants and The Night Bazaar.

This is a good-sized hotel in the centre of Chiang Rai, and it seems to be popular with coach tour groups. It’s conveniently located around 10 minutes from the airport (Bolt works well) and just a 2-minute walk from Bus Terminal 1. There’s also a large on-site car park. Check-in staff are friendly and efficient, and there are two separate lift banks serving the guest rooms. There aren’t any notable views, but the rooms themselves are spacious and comfortable. Beds are good, there’s a proper desk, and the usual amenities are provided: fridge, kettle, tea and coffee, two bottles of water, a safe, etc. The bathroom feels slightly cramped as the bath/shower is enclosed behind a solid glass screen, which may not be ideal for guests with limited mobility. The rooms and upper corridors do feel a little dated, but given the location in northern Thailand, this can also be seen as part of the hotel’s Thai charm. The main restaurant is located next to reception and offers a breakfast buffet with a wide variety of options to suit many nationalities. There’s also a bar in the lobby area, with live music in the evenings, and a karaoke club and bar in the basement. At the rear of the hotel there’s a large swimming pool. The downside is that it remains in the shade all day, so the water is quite cold and even the sun loungers don’t get any direct sunshine. One of the hotel’s biggest strengths is its location. Everything in downtown Chiang Rai is easily walkable: the Night Bazaar is just 2 minutes away, along with the Golden Clock Tower, numerous massage shops, beer bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and even a cat café where you can enjoy a coffee while stroking the cats. If you’re feeling particularly hungry, Ribs & Co is well worth a visit. The hotel also makes a great base for exploring northern Thailand — tours like the “7 in one day” trip are easy to arrange. Central Plaza shopping mall is only about 5 minutes away by taxi. Overall, a very convenient and comfortable base for exploring Chiang Rai and the surrounding region. Enjoy 👍🏼

Location is good near the center of town. The place was clean. That is about the only good aspect I can comment on. The TV was not a functioning smart TV. We could not access Netflix or any app-based programming. The beds are soft. Too soft for our taste. We also had reserved a king bed and we got two double beds - another problem they were unable to solve. Ice is available from the restaurant for 35 baht. That seemed a little cra-cra. Staff, while helpful, did not speak English and, unfortunately, we speak no Thai. This fact made any problem-solving difficult.

Oh dear! First night changed room at 11pm due to persistent knocking. Second room smelt & noisy because we had to have the window open & aircon on. The pool-the reason we booked this place over Christmas-was always in the shade & was colder than the waterfall/mountain rivers we swam in 2days before & 2days after! Breakfast was good. Great location.

The Aircon was super cold. Asked the technician to fix it a few times but it didn't work. He said central Aircon at 21 degrees. So we were rly cold for 3 nights. Rooms are spacious but old and dim. Breakfast is above average. Excellent location.

Stayed here a few times. Hotel rooms are very old and dated. Rooms are very dim. What was really upsetting was that my group was accused of taking / stealing the bed runner cloth. The housekeeper did not check properly! The accusations were embarrassing. Why would we take such an old and cheap item with us?! We left & returned to the hotel after 2 days out in a province. The young man at the reception did well in service recovery. The moment he saw our car, he ran to the concierge and helped retrieve our bag for us. Well done, young man!

getting on in years, this Hotel is spottet perfectly in the city center, 5 minutes away from the night market. All a bit dowdy, ineterior, service, attention, but it has it's charme. By the way, the breakfast exeeded my expectations.All in all, I had a good time

Nice spacious room. Big comfortable bed. Shower and airconditioning working good. Breakfast many choice and tastefull. There was a pool but I didn't use it. Good location. Just few minutes from nightmarket. Near many restaurants and bars. Saturday nightmarket 10 minutes walking.
