What a fun night! Went here for Valentine's Dinner! Awesome Walleye! Rum Punch was amazing! Love the vibe and service! Highly recommend! Fun date night! Loved the live music too!

I only ate outside (twice) on the dog-friendly front patio. I tried the very generous portion of chicken tenders. The crust was perfect! I also had the grilled (3) fish tacos with chips & salsa. So delicious! Service was great both times. Right on Water St., so lots of people watching. Prices are appropriate for waterfront dining. Paying by credit card is 3% extra.

I ordered the mac and cheese with the crispy chicken strip on top. Expensive but very very delicious. The wife ordered the French dip sandwich minus the cheese. The meat was very flavorful and still moist. Even though it was shaved. The OSU was tasty. The bread was crispy and yet still soft. We also got a pizza to go. Cheese only looks delicious. Smells delicious. They use just mozzarella which is perfect. Housemaid sauce. I got a chocolate martini little heavy on the vodka but tasted great. The wife got Trainwreck which has a house made rum punch in it. She loved it. Overall, this place is expensive in comparison to typical restaurants outside of the tourist area. But very typical pricing for this area which is a more touristy area. We spent about $90 with another $20 for tip. So about $110 bill for two meals, two drinks and a pizza to go.

The spicy chicken was dipped in chili oil or something. The grilled chicken was ok. Service was great. There is a $3 upcharge for ordering your liquor neat.

The server was friendly but they were clearly understaffed. The sweet potato fries were phenomenal. I had the Wicks Park burger and was asked how I wanted it cooked, medium rare, it came back without one spot of pink in it. I didn’t even eat the whole thing. I’m thinking that we caught them at a low moment. The whole thing was worth it because of the sweet potato fries though, best I’ve ever had!

Great place and great atmosphere, friendly staff! We dine in on 5 July 2024 as we wanted to see the fireworks. Recommended mom and brother to come here due to the first 2 visit that we had our lunch at here was great! We understood that night was busy and crowded. We put in reservation and waited for about 30 minutes to get a table. Ordered our food and waited for another 40 minutes to arrive. To our disappointment, the hamburger that we ordered were much smaller although the waitress ensured that it was the same size. Half pounder felt like quarter pounder. If you refer to the last 4 pictures from our past visit. We gonna try another time and see what happens, we don't want to give up yet.

Google
The food was great! Cheese curds were tasty. More than enough for 2 people to share. Burger was juicy. After getting our drinks, it took our waiter over 20 minutes to get our dinner order.

Had lunch today at Wicks Park, fish tacos were the best!!! Shrimp tacos were good. Service in general was good. Mussels were delicious with a lot of Parmesan cheese. Key lime pie was to die for!!!! Amazing!!!!

Yelp
I will be returning with my family. They have to experience Wicks Park Bar & Grille! We had a reservation for 16 guests. The staff and the atmosphere were very welcoming. The service was great. What stood out as exceptional, was the delivery of our meals. Several staff members helped get our food out HOT and directly to the source! I didn't hear one "excuse me, this isn't ...". It was an efficient process. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich with French fries. This sandwich is truly spicy, just like I expected. I liked this sandwich so much, it's going to be hard to try something else. All the food around me looked great. Especially my neighbors chicken tenders. Hand made! Giant! I wish I would have grabbed my phone for pictures, next time for sure.

Yelp
Dog friendly patio so that's a plus. Food was fine, but nothing special, especially for the price. $19 for a burger with generic fries with no seasoning? Just a bit underwhelming. I got a Shirley temple for $6, which is overpriced. Service was also fine. Picnic tables on the patio with cute decor.

Yelp
We came to dine in the patio on a nice weekday. We were able to choose our seats upon arrival. Pros -dog friendly, water bowl provided for our pup -baby/toddler friendly -decent food -location, close to Ferry & shopping + ice cream area Customer service: friendly and quick Costs: it is on the higher end.. reflect to pay $20+ per person on an entree, appetizers are close to $20 each too. Spicy chicken sandwich: the chicken is quite spicy but it was also a little oily as if the chicken was drenched in oily sauce. The food was good and the portion was big. Skirt steak with peppers: this is similar to ordering a fajita with the ingredients all in a soft pita. The portion is quite big and can be shared amongst two ppl -ordered with curly fries which were great! Mm..perfectly seasoned and fresh & hot! I'd be back if I was in the area to try some of their other menu options.

Yelp
Delicious appetizers, great views in the middle of Saugatuck, & no wait to be sat! Server was very friendly and I heard her giving recommendations to other tables which was very nice. Would love to come back for an actual meal next time, everything I saw looked great. Inside dining area also looks very nice and fun!

Yelp
We just love this place. Super chill, great music, food is sooooo good. Happy friendly staff. This is our Saturday lunch date place. I am obsessed with their beet salad with shrimp. It is way too much for one person. The candied walnuts are magical. We just had their Deluxe Pizza. WOW! Huge and giant toppings. The downtown is magical.

Yelp
Overall amazing! Great service and better food. The curly potato fries, chicken sandwich and pizza were to die for!! We really enjoyed ourselves.

Yelp
Celiac Foodie: Heads Up- Arrived based on comments and they were off for the Gluten Free options! They offer GF Pizza Crust. They do not offer GF buns or Tortilla Shell. The Chips are deep fried in a shared frier- DO NOT EAT! The Grill is shared - They had to PAN FRY my chicken due to Cross Contamination! I would not recommend for Celiacs! Very limited GF SAFE options . I ordered the Caesar Salad, no croutons with the Pan Fried Chicken.. unseasoned and bland. Overall, epic fail for the Celiacs. 2 Stars for the waitress and her efforts with honesty!! Happy Dining!!

Yelp
Walked in and 25% of the tables were being used. They told us it was a 45 minute wait!! Huh what?? I'll never go back here

Yelp
Enjoyed lunch during the season. Mussels were wonderful- HUGE garlic bread with chunks of garlic inside. (Drool) my sister had the buffalo chicken sandwich which was V spicy but flavorful. Coconut shrimp was my fav- lots of natural coconut flavor. The lettuce wraps were also very good as well. Would order all the food again.
google avatar

Jessica K.

Yelp
Cute atmosphere with views of the river and outdoor seating. Standard bar food that is somewhat pricey considering the quality. Loved the buffalo roll appetizer and my kids enjoyed the burgers. I tried the lettuce wraps which came deconstructed with full chicken breasts and the ingredients separate, assembly needed which was a bit off putting. Overall fine experience but a little disappointing.

Yelp
Wicks Park is fantastic ! The staff is extremely friendly, the drinks are fun and tasty, and the food is delicious! Their menu had so many options, I wanted to try them all.

Yelp
OFFICIALLY spiciest chicken sandwich in Saugatuck.... sweat-inducing tongue enflaming goodness Curly steak fries are a new favorite for our group. Bloody Mary's & Lemonades were PERFECT.

Yelp
Stopped in a while back to Wicks - I'd argue pretty decent bar food with some good company and service. Worth a stop in.

Alan K.

Yelp
Very nice atmosphere and service. Sat outside on the patio across from the park and river, very peaceful. Started with the buffalo chicken rolls very tasty. Has the Sicilian pizza, very good, nice crust. Highly recommend this place. Would go again if in the area!

Yelp
We did not even get past the hostess. She said that they were not seating any more people because the kitchen was closing at 8:15, (we got there at 7:45), even though their hours say they are open until 9. Seems like bad business practice. Saw good reviews on yelp, but we definitely will not return after that experience!

Holden K.

Yelp
All the food was amazing I highly recommend the blue cheese burger but the chicken lettuce wraps weren't built it was basically a diy chicken lettuce wrap and there was 4 uncut chicken breasts in it but overall pretty good food

Yelp
This is our second Friends vacation to Saugatuck MI and our second afternoon spent at Wicks. It's spectacular. The staff is SO friendly, and just so down-to-earth. We always sit at the bar...all 8 of us...and they ALWAYS put the Purdue game on for us. That's right! I'm in MICHIGAN and they put the Purdue game in for us!!! If you don't get the Buffalo Rolls, we can't be friends. They'll change your life. Soup of the day was Cream of Mushroom and I had to had to have it, even in September. It as fantastic. Everything homemade. Heavy pours on the drinks. Clean bathrooms. Get here early because there will be a line wait for the doors to open at NOON!!

Yelp
Outside is kid friendly with picnic tables with views of the Kalamazoo River. Inside is dark and a bar atmosphere. We walked by one night and there was live music. We preferred a night without the live music and we're glad we chose another night. Food was very good and service was prompt. Our waitress treated our kids so well. She even brought out a dog bowl filled with water for their stuffed animals. From the mozzarella sticks to the fish tacos (one of their specialties) to the hand breaded chicken tenders the meals were good. I got the shrimp tacos and they had a wonderful spiced blend of sweet potatoes, pico de gallo, and cilantro. Very tasty! Good selection of beers on tap. My pre meal beer was a lemonade/blueberry shandy. I'd go with something else in the future for a drink.

Yelp
I just can't quit thinking about Wicks!! In fact, I would love to transport that restaurant to NYC immediately because it could easily be my "go to" place it if were nearer! So what makes this place so special? The short answer is everything! Wicks is simply spot on all around--from the food, to the drinks, to the service! First, let me give a shout out to the food! It's all fantastic... so go with a group, order a little bit of everything, and share amongst your table. Here's what you HAVE to order (in order of priority): Buffalo Rolls, Chicken Tenders, Sicilian Pizza, Fried Fish (a special the night we went), Shrimp Tacos, any of their burgers, and Vegetable side dish (omg!). Next up were the drinks--they were were equally tasty (especially the margaritas). Also, my dining party ordered a lot of wine and bubbly, and we all agreed that their wine selections were great. Finally a shout out to the amazing staff!! I think our waiter's name was Peter (or Pete). He definitely pulled out all the stops for us... so very appreciated!! If you are in Saugatuck, MI for vacation, do not pass this place up. You will be glad you stopped in.

Yelp
Fantastic food, great happy hour menu, outdoor seating dog friendly. Super location, great service.

Yelp
We absolutely loved it here. We had our dog with us so we sat at a picnic table outside on the far edge so she ‍ wouldn't get in the way. Jennifer the server spotted us right away and brought water for all of us, a dog bowlful for our pup. A hint that service would be great. We both loved what we ordered; Fish Tacos for me, and Beet/Goat Cheese salad, with candied pecans and Balsamic dressing for my bride. The salad was big so I got a share of that too. I recommend you give it a try.

Yelp
Walked up on Tuesday after at 4. Sat on the patio. No wait. Would have given five stars but the pizza needed salt. We ordered buffalo spring rolls, coconut shrimp, and Sicilian pizza. The buffalo spring rolls were out of this world good. Traveling through Saugatuck, would recommend for a quick bite.

Bren E.

Yelp
This place was clean and quick service. Wait staff were friendly and they had a nice selection and variety to choose from, I'm plant based and was able to order typical salad option, they had a 90s cover band that sounded great, bonus

Yelp
Horrible service! Went 15 mins past quote time, could not accommodate family with children well and very rude server regarding where to place stroller. We left because of how rude the staff was and went to Baldy's BBQ across the street and it was amazing! Go to Baldy's instead -- received food within 10 mins and very kind staff.

Megan F.

Yelp
One of the few restaurants we could find that allowed dogs to sit outside. They also gave a bowl of ice water for our dog! Burger was good and server was very friendly.

Gee M.

Yelp
Food was fantastic! Very good Walleye sandwich. Hamburgers solid. Chicken tender off the chart! The very best Braut you will ever have! Good draft beer selection and prices.

Brenda F.

Yelp
Very busy! Decided on pizza and it was very good! All the food being served looked like large servings so if your Hungary this is the place to go! Service was good!

Yelp
Toook a really long time to get our food. People say after us getting food before us is unacceptable..

Scott G.

Yelp
Racist. My Asian mother-in-law and I came for lunch today. We were sat in the far corner away from a large group of white patrons seated in the main area of restaurant. I've attached a panorama photo to show the disparity. A total disgrace, especially in a supposedly accepting community like Saugatuck.

Yelp
The shrimp tacos didn't disappoint. They were amazing. The service was fantastic. Highly recommended!!

Seda F.

Yelp
The food here was GREAT! I have had a lot of good burgers and this was one of the best I've had. Others had walleye and they LOVED it the fish taco was great. the service was amazing, the people here were super nice. We loved the ambiance of sitting out side under the trees and the bar\ indoor setting looked great. This is a great place to go if your visiting

Yelp
First time there. Stopped in Saugatuck on our way to Mackinac. Saw a young couple walking down the street and asked them for a restaurant referral for lunch. The young man said he worked at Wicks and that we should go there. Seated right away on their beautiful patio. Server greeted us immediately. We ordered the coconut shrimp and chicken lettuce wraps to share. The coconut shrimp was fried perfectly, and had delicious coconut flavor. The dipping sauce was unremarkable. The chicken lettuce wraps were presented beautifully! Each ingredient was tasty, the peanut sauce, the goyza sauce, the marinated chicken were excellent. The pickled cucumbers and carrots were amazing, the rice noodles were a beautiful suprise. Service was consistently good. We can't wait to return and I highly recommend this place.

herculees ..

Yelp
We never got to the food. The hostess barely greeted us, told us no high chairs or boosters because they were in use, sat us at a table on the side. Female server comes up and says I'll let you settle in and decide what you want and walked away. We were ready. Then Comes back and says " you want drinks?" - not hello. Not my name is ... she was terse and short. Every encounter with this young rude woman was the same. We left after paying for our drinks. She should have reported the problem to her manager and he or she should have come over. No one came over. We got our check for the drinks and left. Too many other restaurants to suffer thru This kind of attitude. Stay away. Trust me. Not worth it.

Yelp
A group of 6 of us were walking downtown when we decided we wanted to stop for a drink and some appetizers. We had perfect timing and stumbled upon Wicks minutes after they opened for the day. We were able to sit outside in their cozy seating area, which is exactly the vibe we were looking for. The appetizers were amazing!! By far my favorite were the lettuce wraps. The buffalo rolls are a close second. My bloody mary was delicious. A few others ordered some cocktails that were a bit strong. I would definitely recommend stopping here, just try and make it right at opening. This place filled up quickly!

Yelp
Was looking for a restaurant that was dog friendly with a covered patio since it was sprinkling that day, with good food and Wicks hit all spots. Service was fast and friendly. We found a nice cozy table under the covered patio for my mom and her pup. I loved that they had blanket behind each chair too. We ordered the gluten free pizza and 1/2 slab of ribs with a couple of glasses of Chardonnay. Great atmosphere, close to the water. Will definitely be back. Humans and pup approved!

Yelp
I NEVER write reviews BUT, I had to this time ... READ THE LOW REVIEWS ON THE FOOD, PRICES AND SERVICE... ITS EXACTLY WHAT YOU GET! BEWARE: LOOK OVER YOUR BILL ...THEY HAVE A HISTORY OF SNEAKING IN MORE CHARGES. I have been coming to Saugatuck for several years (10+) and each time I try to give Wicks a 2nd, 3rd, 4th shot and every time they unfortunately disappoint. The location is great but, the food is subpar for the $$$. It's such a bummer because I would love to love Wicks. Not only is the food not worth the money, the service each time has been horrible too. They couldn't even get our bill straight this last time and over charged us ... adding several meals that we didn't order and were argumentative about it. We had to go back and forth with the staff for being over charged (They have a history of doing this). After spending $350+ for crap food ... infuriating was an understatement. We have had 10 people + each time we have visited ... and as you can imagine, choosing a variety of different things off the menu ... and not a single person ever said they enjoyed their meal ever the course of years. But we really wanted to see Wicks succeed so, we kept coming back ... thinking things would be different the next time. Unfortunately, nothing has changed and each time they severely disappoint. This will be the LAST time we eat at Wicks. See a sample of what we have ordered vs what we got: Crispy Chicken Salad: A overcooked fried chicken breast over a bag of grocery store quality lettuce. BE PREPARED TO CUT UP OWN CHICKEN. I guess this wouldn't be a big deal if any effort went into the salad but, when it's over limp lettuce it's really deflating to have to put that type of work into something that doesn't look appetizing. Pepperoni Pizza: Pizza was overcooked and spelled weird. The cheese was so overcooked it didn't even melt as you picked up the pieces. Additionally, it smelled like cheap charred graded cheese ... think of burned graded parmesan cheese. Chicken Tenders (Entree): $17 for 3 over cooked chicken tenders and french fries that were no better than the frozen grocery store version. Asian Lettuce Wraps: Lettuce wraps that aren't even close lettuce wraps...try limp lettuce with 'buffet' Asian type ingredients and a whole chicken breast ... AGAIN be prepared to put in a little effort before you eat because you have to cut up the chicken before you can even take a bite. Nothing about this was anything like lettuce wraps ... I don't even know what to call it. Fried Mozzarella Sticks: How do you screw up pre-prepared frozen mozzarella sticks? I guess overcook them so the cheese oozes out of the stick before you serve it. So, when it comes plated, there's no cheese left in the stick and it's hollow. Mozzarella and Tomato Balsamic Salad: Don't expect it to be on a bed of lettuce or have more than 4 small mozzarella balls. This is not an entree sized meal even though it's charged entree prices. PLUS the prices you see in the online menu are not reflective of the real prices in the restaurant. Add a couple of dollars and that's what you will be really paying and watch the up-charge on your bill! The list goes on...and I don't have the energy to go on. Do yourself a favor ... pick one of the many other amazing options in Saugatuck and Douglas: The Wild Dog, Mermaid, Reto Boat, Phil's, Southerner, Everyday People, Butler, Wally's, Clearbrook... even McDonalds (at least the food quality = the price) ... the list goes on.

Yelp
My mom and I were visiting Saugatuck in March when we stumbled upon Wicks! It was a Thursday night and the March madness tournament was on - we played trivia at Wick's and had dinner (the tacos were delicious!). We returned on Friday & Saturday night to watch more of the tournament and to enjoy some great live music! We were warmly welcomed by the staff, the owner of Wick's (Christine), and got to know several locals. We can't wait to visit Saugatuck again in the future! Would recommend Wick's food, drinks and above all the people

Yelp
My friends and I stopped in Wicks for happy hour before taking a boat ride. They have great happy hour (3-6 pm) specials. I ordered a drink called the Trainwreck and it was so tasty. Just my type of drink. It was a mix of rum punch, pineapple, and vodka. So delish especially at happy hour price of $3. Although I didn't try a meal here, I did have a couple bites of key lime pie. It was big enough for two people and so tasty. Definitely worth the indulgence. I would like to visit Wicks again to try some food. The atmosphere was great and the owner was very welcoming.

Yelp
Good food at a casual restaurant. Outdoor seating. Was a quick walk from our B&B. Going back to Saugatuck soon and will visit the Wicks Park Grill again.

Greta D.

Yelp
With the reviews we read, we had high hopes for a great experience. We sat outside at picnic tables. The server was too busy and inattentive; the crab dip was fishy and couldn't find crab pieces; the Caesar salad was bagged, without cheese with a dry chicken breast; the walleye and Cole slaw were adequate; the fries were cold, and colder by the time our server brought the ketchup. It took way too long to get the requested bill and even longer to process the payment. Extremely disappointed.

Jonathan J.

Yelp
Food was awesome! Great service and location... we will definitely be back! Chicken Fingers brats and pretzels were gereat

Yelp
Good food, service from Brett, and ambiance! Drinks were great and gluten free pizza was excellent!!! Music was the perfect volume!!!

Yelp
This was our very first eatery we tried while in town. We enjoyed the outdoor seating - very cozy and relaxing. Our server was attentive and was very knowledgeable about the beer menu. For an appetizer we started with the Buffalo chicken wonton rolls - absolutely delicious! For dinner I went with the brat covered with peppers/onions and cheese. Being from Iowa where pork is a stable I felt the brat was fairly bland even with all the extra toppings - made me realize I like my standard local locker brats with just ketchup and mustard! My husband went with the crab roll and thought it was pretty good too - his fries were absolutely amazing (golden brown, crispy, lightly salted and not overly greasy). Definitely recommend Wicks Park!
google avatar

Angelina J.

Yelp
Great food and customer service! Love the fried walleye and wicks burger. French Fries were saltier than we expected. Sweet potato fries was the bomb. Chips isn't not bad too, salty and peppery which is great with their wicks burger
google avatar

Christy K.

Yelp
Food was not good. Service was fine. Atmosphere and sitting outside is nice. Food is overpriced. I wish we had a better experience. The soft pretzel appetizer was microwave quality and we paid $15 for it. The fish tacos were bland.

Rose F.

Yelp
service was terrible. Arrived and seated immediately at a table with no service. I went inside 15 minutes later to order a drink. Bar guy "for here or to go?" (he had walked past me a dozen times outside already) me: "here, I am at that table outside with no service. Been Waiting 15+ min." Bar: "Oh, I will get your drinks and bring them to you and take your order." me: "Great" ..... went and sat down and waited and waited for drinks. I could see the bar guy texting? on his phone, maybe looking up drink recipes for my margarita, or the premade rum punch instructions? It was probably another 10 min or more before we received our drinks. The drinks were not delivered by the bar guy as promised and no order was taken. More waiting. Food was okay. The breading on coconut shrimp was very light, dipping sauce was not overly sweet. Portions were bigger than flavors. We sat outside so the ambiance was typical sidewalk/street tables/picnic tables on cement with umbrellas. Chairs with cushions and support pillows were comfortable. Waited a long time for our tab and had to go to seating station to say, we had horrible service including not getting a tab for our food so we can leave. Hostess: "What can I do? Do you want your waiter?" Me.. thought bubble...Hello, hello, anyone home? Me: "yes, of course, unless you want us to leave as we are here ready to go" ugh!

Yelp
It took us - well me - a minute to find Saugatuck because it had been awhile and I, being a man, was sure about where it was. I was wrong. Anyway, it was nice to finally find it, because yes, it's a small place, but it's so cool. We found Wicks pretty much at the end of the part where all the shops are, and i'll say this - for location and ambiance, the place is a find. It's got a nice bar with your standard wood and just a bit dark, but also open to the patio and really not all that dark. It was fairly quiet inside but the patio grew busy as we sat. I don't remember what I drank, I think an All Day IPA and then a kentucky mule and both were proper. I mean that well, the beer was cold and the mule mixed right. I think it'll stand up as a good bar for drinking based on that. The menu for me was a little bit of a let down. Not a lot of options and not things I'd generally go to. It was also a little on the pricier side. They did have a crab roll so we ordered that. It came with fries which where really good - hot, thin, crispy. The roll itself was pretty good, with plenty of crab, and the roll was awesome, just like what you find at good seafood places, buttery and crispy. The crab, though, was just good...not the best crab I've had, not the worst either. I'd be willing to try it again for sure, but like others have side, with all the options...

Yelp
First time our family visited this restaurant. It was not a good experience. The wait was 35-45 minutes with no place to sit. We were texted that our table was ready. They sat us inside the restaurant next to the windows. There were flies everywhere. Our kid cried because there were so many flies. We waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged by the wait staff. We ordered food because we were all hungry...big mistake! The food was not good. We paid our bill and left. We will NEVER go there again. I am shocked that we did not get food poisoned.
