Wide Awake Specialty Coffee

Cute hole in the wall coffee nook in North Hobart. Menu and prices are clearly listed on the board and everything is quite reasonably priced. I ordered a medium cold brew and it has very strong fruity tones with hints of citrus. First sip was a little surprising but it grew on me. They have a bench for outdoor seating and a few seats inside. Nice vibe!

Second day here while in town. First round of coffee yesterday was the absolute bomb. Could not have made better at home. Second morning, different barista and it felt like they’re still learning. Solid serve but nowhere near as flavoursome as the previous morning. Still happy with it but was so looking forward to the adventure in a cup I had the previous day. Service was lovely and friendly. Vibe was warmish. Maybe throw in some seat cushions, newspaper and a magazine or two.

On a holiday to TAS and have been very lucky with a great coffee. Soy latte tastes smooth and nice with hint of red bean, dates and dried longan. Batch brew is clean and easy to drink.

Had a really great experience. Friendly and fast service, yummy food and awesome drink. Recommend

While exploring Hobart, I came across this local coffee spot (one of the many great ones in this beautiful city!). Service was so lovely and had a meaningful conversation with the barista. I loved their coffee so much! When you go in, it opens up to a beautiful seating area that's perfect for reading or good conversations over coffee ❤️

Probably the best coffee we had in Tassie. Gets quite busy though, always a line of people waiting

I buy Beans from here regularly and the manager who is new (Asian I believe) was insanely clicky and rude and would not snap out of it while I asked about getting Filter beans back in. I've had the absolute best service here prior to this occasion and never dealt with her or seen her before. Super snarky and clicky over such a simple question that left my blood boiling as she blamed me for buying the wrong one last time which I didn't even care about! I've been in the industry longer than she's been alive at this point. Bring back any of the past staff from the last few years. Absolutely loved them all. I'm so easy to deal with unless you are bitchy and clicky. Looked like she had no sleep honestly and rage monster. Full mainland vibes and she would suit a place like Sydney with this snappy energy.
