Wide Mouth Frog is a modern hotel, very clean. The rooms are set around a nice courtyard with a pool and gardens, and nice area for eating. People friendly and helpful. Great location in centre of town close to restaurants, bus station and ATM. Rooms are comfy but quite small, had a fridge and TV but no safe. Has air con.

The staff here are so helpful and nice. I stayed for a week. AC in the room was a lifesaver! And I was able to work remotely with fast wifi. There are no lockers, but the hostel was safe to be in, so my belongings were fine. I loved the people I met here. Everyone was hanging in the pool and fun to chat with. Highly recommend this place!

Great hotel near Manuel Antonio National Park. Rooms clean and modern. Great little swimming pool - perfect for cooling off after a day at the national park. Very near the bus station for easy access to the national park.

This hotel was really cute and clean, and the dorm rooms weren’t bad for dorm rooms… The pool was nice the cold tub which is like a hot tub with cold water, was great. Literally nothing bad I can say about this place other than its location. Which I know they can’t do anything about but everybody online recommended staying in Quepos and I don’t know why, because it’s horrible. Yes, you can get picked up from your hotel to go out on excursions but if you’re there without a car, there’s literally nothing to walk to or do in Quepos without paying to go on an excursion! They recommend Sofa Sanchez to eat, everyone seems to, and it was modern but not great.

Loved my stay at this hostel. Not the most social as no activities are planned for solo travelers, but there are a few spaces where you could talk to fellow travelers. There was a mistake in our reservation (2 beds on booking, but only 1 once there), but the staff went above and beyond to fix the problem. Both rooms we've had were nice and comfortable. The staff is certainly the best thing about this hostel. From the men at the reception, the super sweet kitchen lady and the cleaners who are always working hard, everyone is smiling, kind and helpful. Very nice place and only a few minutes from the bus terminal / bus to Manuel Antonio.

I stayed in an 8 bunk mixed dorm for 2 weeks. Lovely, kind and efficent staff thoughout this hostel/hotel. Comfortable beds. Beautiful grounds. There were not lockers in the rooms but this wasn't a problem at all. The desk proves special storage if you wish it. Great location.

Nice hotel, or hostel, but in renovation! A bit inconvenient the workers around. No gender bathroom and open. The room was minimalist. No hangers for clothes. School break and kids screaming in the pool at 8 AM, no parents around. The bus station is nearby to go to Manuel Antonio or Uvita. The personnel were very helpful.

Disastrous check in. They didn't have the right number of people for which I had booked on Hostelworld, nor the right room. They wanted to give me the dormitory for 1 person while I had paid for a private room for 2 people. In the end we had one of the worst private rooms, smaller than a prison cell. The staff is incapable and not at all accommodating to help. The toilets are mixed and no privacy. The smells also come back up.
