The potato soup had a bit too much vinegar for my taste. The pork belly was a pleasant surprise – very good! The Hugo cocktail was too sweet, just so-so. The free shot had a sweet, colorful taste – not sure what it was exactly, but not bad. The staff were friendly, and Will reminded me upon arrival that the stay is limited to 1.5 hours.

A wonderful place with a very bohemian & rustic, Polish atmosphere! Very cozy, presenting the best traditional polish dishes ! I came here twice and I had a great time and I will definitely revisit in the future! Mr Piotr, managing leading waiter was an excellent 👌 host, hardworking, running around to make everyone happy, and extremely polite at all times, speaking fluent English as well, I'm very pleased! Also a flexible menu, you can customise some dishes regarding size and other details. 10/10 💗🌹❤️🙏

Being Polish, I just love Poland for they hearty and delicious food!! If you are a meat eater and would love to taste the best of what Poland has to offer, you must visit Wiejskie Jadło in Poznań. This is by far one of the best Polish restaurants that I have been to in Poland! What a gem! When you there and in a big group you have to order meat platter (on the photo) with all the traditional trimmings which is perfect to share with all the traditional dishes if you cannot decide what to pick! It was 6 of us, and we ordered a platter for 4, and there was plenty of food! We actually struggled to finish it! Super delicious! Really friendly staff too and very accommodating. It gets busy, so if you fancy table outside, especially in the summer, make sure you book a table. In the winter you can enjoy the inside table surrounded by proper traditional decor! Place is ace and defo on my list to go back to!

We had a reservation and everything went smoothly. I ordered the chicken breast with salad and boiled potatoes. the food was really good, simple and well-prepared. The potato was over boiled. The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Overall, a pleasant experience that I’d be happy to repeat.

The food was really good, and we tried the special offer for two. The service was great too. We only got a seat outside since it was a Saturday and we didn’t have a reservation. Definitely a must to book ahead if you’re going on the weekend!

We came in without a reservation and they were nice enough to give us a table! Would advise to reserve beforehand as it does get busy. The place was very cozy and the staff spoke perfectly English (Menu was also available in English!) There were a lot of traditional food choices available. We went for the platter with the soup as an appetizer. The food was served quickly and was very tasty! It was also priced very well in my opinion. Staff was great, food was great and would definitely come again when visiting!

I really struggled with this review. I work in the customer service industry in the US and know that everyone can have an off day, but it was just too much of a negative. I’m absolutely not the type of person to bash a restaurant or even to ask for a manager. The food was absolutely amazing which is the main reason I was going between four and five stars. My friend and I had two appetizers, Smalec and pyry z gzikiem which were out of this world. I then had the zrazy (beef rolls) as my main which were amazing. My issue was with the service. When we arrived the restaurant seemed a bit busy which I completely understand. We asked one waitress if we could sit outside at one of the empty tables which were dirty and she said yes, but that she would come to clean it. A few minutes later a male waiter came out with menus, put them directly on the dirty tables, said hello and then went back into the restaurant. I’m not sure if he initially saw the dirty table, but we gave him the benefit of the doubt. I saw him look out at tables while on the steps of the restaurant a few times before we ordered our drinks and was hoping he would notice that our table hadn’t been cleaned yet…. But that was not the case. He returned a few minutes later (it was not a long wait) to take our order again without cleaning the table. At this point I was a bit annoyed, but again gave them the benefit of the doubt. It was not until he brought our cutlery that my friend asked if we could have something to wipe the table to which he then apologized and wiped it for us. The drinks and appetizers came out quite fast, so we were very pleased with that. Again, the food was absolutely fantastic. Once we were finished with our appetizers we had set them to the side of the table for easier access for the waiter to clear. A few minutes later we set our drink glasses as well to the side as we were finished with those as well. 10-15 minutes later our main courses came out and all but one appetizer plate remained on the table. The waiter had pasted us more than 7 times and only took one appetizer plate (as mentioned) when delivering our main courses. It really ruined the evening for me despite the great food. I hope it was just a bad moment because if it were not for this experience I would recommend this place to everyone. As the end the owner or manager actually came and cleared our main course dishes and we had to ask him for the check. One cool thing is with every check comes free traditional liquor shots which were very very very yummy.

Wiejskie Jadło is a great place to enjoy delicious, authentic Polish food. The dishes are flavorful, well-prepared, and generously portioned. The service is very good—friendly and attentive staff make you feel welcome. It can get a bit noisy at times, but the cozy atmosphere and great food make up for it. It's definitely a great spot to experience traditional Polish cuisine in Poznań!

Yelp
Work trip layover. Located just off the Old Town Square. We had the mixed grill plate suggested by the waiter. Super cozy atmosphere and great food.

Yelp
It was a good place, hard to find a seat unless you have a reservation. Servers were friendly and the food was good, however not what natives would say it was original. Overall great city to visit and this place was good to keep in mind.

Yelp
Excellent place for great traditional polish food! I had Borcht Soup and hubby had peroghies and both were god, even though I was expected cabbage cooked in my soup.

Yelp
Small and intimate restaurant. The service was fast considering it was fairly busy. You will not be disappointed!

Yelp
I ate here with colleagues during my first trip to Poland. It's tucked between buildings in the old town square which is currently under renovation. Thankfully, one of my colleagues was familiar with this spot and led us there. The six of us were seated comfortably indoors in a booth. For most of us, this was our first polish dining experience, so we took a bit longer to make selections and appreciated the English translations of each menu item. I selected the goulash with potato pancakes with sparkling water. Others ordered perogie, steak and potatoes, tartare and various beers. My meal was delicious and comforting, the latkes were perfectly crispy on the edges and the goulash was tender and flavorful. Upon completing our meals, we were given little shots of cherry vodka. Service was prompt and friendly, and the overall dining experience was good. Considering that my meal costed the equivalent of $10 US dollars, it was quite reasonable!

Yelp
Traditional Polish restaurant in old town on the side street. As a tourist and American I found this small restaurant to be very good. Make sure you make reservations it does get busy and it is small. I had the pork dish that was really good. I will share pictures of a duck dish pierogies and apple pie. The apple pie was really really good. They do speak English but you will want to make sure they understand your entire order. The prices are good. They take credit cards.

Yelp
I've read about this place on Yelp already so I had high hopes for this restaurant. Thankfully it was only about 800 feet from my hotel. This place is great because it's not super touristy but not super far away. It's right in the old town and close to the square. The staff speaks great English and the menu had translations into English, so it was easy deciphering what I would like. I got a beer which to be honest wasn't that great, but I did also get pierogi's with mushrooms and sauerkraut. These were great, definitely not what I expected! My parents got potato pancakes which we all split and those were super good as well. Overall I recommend this place for a traditional Polish restaurant.

Yelp
Great place, in a side alley steps away from the Town Hall at the Old Square. Very rustic, cottage- like interior. I find it cute and complementing their simple traditonal menu. The food is authentic and very good. Excellent service, the staff speaks German, English, Polish of course, so if you're a tourist, you'll be fine here. I would come back. Highly recommend pierogis! The menu is translated, easy breezy!

Yelp
Excellent service by the staff. The staff speaks multiple languages to include English, which makes it tourist friendly. I had the meat stuffed Pirogies with bacon and sour cream...excellent.

Yelp
This is an absolutely wonderful Polish restaurant serving fresh traditional Polish food. Decor is very Polish and rustic. Please book if you are going in the evening as it is quite busy. Try the duck with cranberry apple and dumplings. Beautiful. The prices are reasonable and the staff are very friendly. Go there. You will not regret it.

Yelp
Absolutely my favourite restaurant in Poznan. Stayed in the city for a week and ate there 3 times. Food is delicious, hearty, affordable and portions are big! I had pierogis of all flavours (cheese and potato, meat, mushrooms and sauerkraut) and couldn't choose which is the best one. For dessert, the INCREDIBLE [and incredibly simple] vanille ice cream with hot raspberry sauce and whip cream made my day! Life was more colorful after each spoonful. Staff doesn't speak English very well but we understood each other easily. They are very accomodating and I could change the size of my portion with a proportionate price. Thumbs up! Only downfall is that they charged my water and it is expensive considering the rest of the prices. S2

Yelp
Came here for zurek soup and pierogis with tea. Awesome place! Out of the main square so a a little quieter and more shade (though we did have quite a few cars coming by). Food and service we're great. I had the mixed pierogi platter to try all the flavors. Good place to check out!

Yelp
This restaurant had a warm and primal interior design which allured us to sit and enjoy. Small but unique and functional, it had an open bar, a few wooden tables with cushions, paper made hanging lamps. The server was welcoming and polite. We immediately fell in love with the setting. When you are Poland, you got to try their perogies ( dumplings). That was one of the dishes we ordered. Apart from it, we ordered a half roasted duck plate with sauce topped steamed apple and soft buns. My daughter liked the dish. Another dish was the roasted beef. My honey beer tasted sweet. The food was good but came slowly. Service was OK, nothing to complain except the expensive price.

Yelp
I liked it very much but didn't love it as much as other reviewers. I was there on a Sunday and on that day they have a special soup that's chicken broth with house made pasta. I got that and while inoffensive with great noodles it was quite thin and boring. I got the pierogi combo and again meh. I couldn't finish it, it was beautifully made but very monotonous.

Yelp
Very nice service, good food (I loved the pork soup : a must try). Will recommend to anyone that want to give a try to the traditional Polish cuisine.

Yelp
I came here based on good reviews and they were not wrong. The pierogis were the best I had in Poznan. For dessert, the ice cream with hot raspberry and cream is fantastic. Reservations are recommended, as the place is small and I saw many people get turned away. During warmer weather, they have seating outside, which makes it easier to get in. Service is slow, which is normal for Poland, so it's a great place to visit with friends. Highly recommended!

Yelp
I'm surprised this restaurant has no reviews yet - the service and quality of food are very high, and there is an excellent range of traditional polish dishes (I have polish heritage and all my 'must-have' dishes were on the menu). The mushroom soup is especially great, and the barszcz has a lovely smokey flavour. We enjoyed the mead and mulled wine. The decor is very cute, and we revisited during our stay.
