Wigi's Kitchen

By some margin this was the best restaurant we ate in during our holiday in Malta. If you're thinking of going here (and you definitely should) be sure to book in advance. It's very popular and for good reasons. The food really is excellent. Service is friendly attentive and professional. Wine selection is very good and not stupidly pricey. The view over the bay is very nice, particularly at night. The restaurant itself is on the first floor and accessed by a small door and staircase next to the bar/restaurant downstairs. Once you are seated and have your menus, the staff will bring out trays of fresh meat and fish that are on the menu, so that you can see what you'd be getting and make a more informed choice. We were impressed by the care and attention taken in preparing the food and this was confirmed as soon as we started eating it! This is a great place. It's not cheap, but it's definitely worth every penny. The other reviews are not wrong, so book, go and enjoy.

This was my first visit to this restaurant, but it certainly will not be my last. The food was exceptionally delicious and cooked to perfection. The risotto was divine, and the meat was equally delightful. While it is not an inexpensive restaurant, it is undoubtedly worth experiencing. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was wonderful, offering a lovely view of Balluta Bay.

Absolutely amazing! We couldn’t find one thing to complain about. Between the waiter and the food, everything was spectacular (and very reasonably priced). We would all definitely return to Wigi’s if we ever come back to Malta! We had starters, mains, desserts and a bottle of wine and loved it all. Highly recommend to anyone. You can simply call the restaurant and make a reservation for a fun evening. Thank you Wigi’s! 20/10

Everything at Wigi’s Kitchen was fantastic! The meat was tender and tasty, the portion sizes were generous, and the staff was wonderful. The waiter’s recommendations were spot-on and made the meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Wigi’s Kitchen is a lovely spot with a great location. The food is always good, freshly prepared, and satisfying. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome, adding to the pleasant dining experience.

This is a beautiful restaurant. Super cosy and amazing service. We had the lamb and the duck. Lamb was super tasty, it is rump so is a bit fatty but great flavour. However we found the duck bland but the other veg on the plate tasty. I cook duck a lot at home so have perfected it and expected it to be more moist but overall everything else was lovely!

Very attentive & knowledgeable staff, a simple but “something for everyone” menu which changes subject to availability and seasons. Wide selection of good wines. The food was worth every cent (Chateaubriand is a special subject to availability so book an early table). Good value for money. Excellent advice and catering for celiacs too. Highly recommended and will be visiting again.
