Wijaya Beach Restaurant

Wijaya Beach is hands down one of our favorite restaurants whenever we visit the south! The atmosphere is laid-back and beautiful, right by the beach, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. Their pizza is absolutely delicious — fresh, wood-fired, and full of flavor. In fact, it’s one of the best we’ve had in the area. Apart from the pizza, they also offer a great variety of seafood and other dishes that are equally impressive. The service is friendly and efficient, and the overall vibe of the place is warm and welcoming. Whether you're stopping by for lunch, dinner, or just a drink by the beach, Wijaya Beach never disappoints. Definitely a must-visit every time you’re in the south!

Food is good. But the. Russian tourists are innundating the beach touching and feeding turtles against the ecological warning. The saddest part is the owners of tourist businesses cannot control them due to the commercial gaining.

After a day of swimming and turtle spotting, we went to Wijaya Beach Restaurant. The staff were very kind and friendly, and we got a table with a beautiful sea view. The service was quick, and the staff were especially lovely with our young children. The pizza from their special oven was delicious, and the shrimp mango curry was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed it so much that we returned for a second visit. The food was excellent, and the upstairs area offers the best view.

We came here almost everyday for drinks. I can’t comment on the food or rooms but the setting is really good. The service is excellent and the drinks are good and cold. The turtles are right there on the beach but please don’t feed and touch them. Just enjoy watching them. Service is not included on the bill here so make sure you have some cash for tips.

I have only tried their pizzas and cocktals. They are a wonder in downsouth. I can happily say that they have the best pizza. Loved their cocktails and hospitality too. If you want extra spice in your pizza, dont forget to as for their.kotchchi sauce. It definitely is a place I'd revisit for pizza.

Had dinner at this beachfront restaurant. Not much beach though. Mostly rocks and a small strip of sand really. Dog friendly❤️I took my little doggoe and kids. Nice staff. Yum food! Reasonable prices. Payment having to be settled at the counter directly instead of being brought to the table was a bit weird. Had to traverse two floors up and down just to settle the bill. despite that little oddity I really liked this place and the vibe.

Went with a group of 10 friends and had a really great time. The atmosphere was relaxed and perfect for a beachside hangout. The pizza was delicious—crispy, flavorful, and definitely a highlight of the day. A great spot to enjoy good food and good company by the ocean.

Beware. There are numerous accounts (since at least a year) of young females being robbed of valuables after their drinks were being spiked. The management is not giving access to video feed and responding rudely upon requests to see the footage and accusing them of "simply being drunk". (That's in itself despicable as well). As a European Sri Lankan, we're currently looking into it. Legal action is being taken. They cannot get away with these practices. Also this review won't be taken down until proper action is being taken. People have to be warned. To the management: consider this a first warning.
