"Hiking Wilcox Pass in Jasper National Park Even after being chased off by strong winds and an incoming storm, Wilcox Pass is currently holding the title of my favorite day hike in the Canadian Rockies. Beginning just north of the Banff National Park border, this eight kilometer trail wanders through the forest and quickly emerges above the tree line to some outstanding views of surrounding peaks and glaciers."

The BEST! What a view! Clean outhouse. Water, free firewood

Great campground. The views on campsites 1-7 are awesome, campsites with higher numbers are more private and secluded. There are so many outhouses, there will be one close to your site for sure. Watch out as you park your car or RV in your campsite, do not get too close to the edge. A van went too close and bottom down when the back tires went off the ledge :( (their van was ok but they had to call for help to get out). As you leave, drive slow and careful on the exit road because there are big potholes. We had a wonderful time in this campsite (mid Sep 2021)

Well spaced out campsites with clean pit toilets. There’s no cell signal here, but you can drive to the ice field center to get a good signal.

We specially liked this campground. It was the only unreserved night we had. It did fill up very quickly after we arrived at about 4pm, so better to arrive earlier.

You know I wasn't sure what to expect, and i was pleasantly surprised by many things including the view, the respectful campers, and the quality of the sites.

Stayed here for a 5 days in July 2022. Relatively quiet campground. You can hear some road noise, especially in the lower numbered campgrounds. There are quite a few toilets and garbage bins. At least one per each row. Campsites are spread out far enough from each other. Just a 10 minute bike ride to the Discovery Center. Walkable to Wilcox Pass trailhead.

Lovely campground. Sites on the first loop have the best views but all the spaces are very nice. We were very happy with our spot number 44 in the top loop. Lots of privacy. Great bathrooms and camp kitchens, potable water, dump station! What More could you want????
