Our Disney African Safari Tour was absolutely amazing! The experience was both fun and educational from start to finish. The tour guides (Kelsey & Jason) were incredibly knowledgeable — they shared fascinating facts about the animals and habitats while keeping the whole group engaged and laughing. You could really tell they love what they do. The scenery, the wildlife, and the overall atmosphere made it an unforgettable adventure. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Disney — it’s a must-do!

Wild Africa Trek is a 3 hour privately-guided VIP expedition to see exotic African wildlife at Disey's Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida, USA! It is a Disney Enchanted Extra (not to be confused with the Kilimanjaro Safaris ride). Booking for the Trek opens 60 days in advance. It only runs approx. 4 times a day, with each session having 12 spaces, so it usually fills up fast. Pre-booking is recommended, but you may be able to get a space later (as people often cancel when their plans change closer to the date). We went off-track to view hippos and crocodiles up close, even crossing a rope bridge to get an overhead view. We then jumped in a safari truck viewing some of the different animals, occasionally parking up for a closer look. We stopped for a snack (which was more like a full meal) made especially for the tour, and can't be purchased elsewhere. We then continued in the truck to the end of the tour. The tour guides provided a lot information about the animals and Animal Kingdom. The tour is an additional cost on top of the regular Animal Kingdom admission. We all really enjoyed it and was one of the highlights of our trip. Would recommend.

If you can get in and have the time and money to do so, this is a very exciting two or three hour trek through the ropes course and behind the scenes at Animal Kingdom. Also includes an awesome lunch overlooking the savannah at the Kilimanjaro ride that is pretty sweet. Be careful when you go during the summer because thunderstorms can cancel the tour. Very enjoyable! :)

Review of the privately-guided, pre-paid VIP expedition (NOT Kilimanjaro Safari). This was a fun excursion. Both of my young adult children really loved it. The trek begins with getting fitted with a harness, a headset (to listen), a complimentary aluminum water bottle, sunglass strap and phone strap. You walk on some back trails until you get to the interpretive stops. All the while the guides are providing interesting info about the park right to your ear (I thought the headsets were a great feature for the tour). Safety is paramount, so they are constantly checking your gear. There were specific stops to see the Hippos and Crocodiles where you would attach your harness and peek over the edge to see the animals. There were also a couple of cable and wood bridges to cross over the streams and crocodiles. The tour continues as you board a special open air truck and tour the savanna, getting a little closer to the animals than on the standard safari ride. Here the trucks would occasionally stop for more detailed info on the animals and Q&A. Next you head to a patio dining area overlooking the savanna where an African themed meal is served along with the ever popular Disney POG juice. After this break, its back on the truck for a couple more stops before returning back to the departure dock. Also included are several photos taken by the guides. I’ll admit it is a bit pricey, but if you have the means it is an experience one won’t soon forget and the kids will love.

I honestly thing this was the kids highlight of the trip getting to ride in these safari vehicles and seeing all the different animals. They were all very lively and well kept. It’s a great ride for the whole family and tons of animals to see.

One of the highlights in the Animal Kingdom in my opinion. Like other reviews stated, it is like a drive through zoo but done in a view creative manner. We really enjoyed seeing all of the animals in their environment. We visited in the evening, which was around feeding time. We saw a variety of animals, including cheetah.

QUALITY IS IN D.

Must try folks! Our first try were not good because we didn’t see too many animals and our driver was kinda in bad mood and fast driving.. Our second try was just amazing, we were able to see many of wild life animals and driver was very informative with explaining all. We wait a bit about 35-40 minutes for the ride however we would suggest you to try out this safari! Cheers 🥂

Cannot recommend this tour enough!!! It's so worth it! Our guides were Emma and Maddie and they were so kind and knowledgeable! Great way to see a unique side of the Kilimanjaro Safari and the animals up close! Most of the walking is done in the first hour and a half of the tour and the rest is spent riding through the safari. The food served was delicious! I especially loved the hummus. They give you a few souvenirs to remember the trip, as well as a bunch of candid photos from the safari of you and the animals!
