10/10! Wild & Tea is the BEST apothecary in Los Angeles. So grateful to have access to quality, organic herbs in this urban desert. Access to sustainably & ethically-sourced, organic herbs is unfortunately scarce in our metropolis. Thank you Wild & Tea for helping reunite our community to these invaluable plant allies— with compassion and grace for the people and plants. Danielle, the owner, has vast wisdom on each of these powerful plants; she’s gone above and beyond to point me toward the right path at many forks along my botanical journey— from mycology questions to in-depth books for a budding herbalism practitioner :) S/o to Alex & Julia and all at Wild & Tea for their friendly, expedient and welcoming spirit whenever I come in. Beautiful customer service, Julia is always super helpful and positive attitude. All the ladies have great attitudes and super friendly. They were out of a tincture I was wanting but called me super quick when they got more. I love this place for getting my herbs and eco friendly soaps and products. I also love walking in and how they remember me and treat me like a sister ❤️

This is a wonderful place. The people here have supported me with custom tea blends throughout my pregnancy. They are so kind. Everything I’ve purchased is high quality and they often have things that are hard to find otherwise. The prices are on point. It’s also a great place to get a little gift.

The lady that approached me was very helpful and friendly and knowledgeable and so seemed the other two employees(with the costumers they were helping), good selection and good atmosphere, they appreciated me asking if I could take a photo before doing it.

Great staff, friendly, helpful, the herb store is small but not that small. As you walk in you are mentally transported by the beautiful smell of herbs to a magical cottage of long ago, when people made their own healing tonics and life was peaceful. I am smitten by this wonderful shop & its great vibe. I felt extremely welcome and the atmosphere was warm. I will be coming back over & over again.

I loved This store from the moment I walked in the door. It just feels good in there. I’ve now been shopping here for the majority of my herbal medicine making, gifts for friends, and now basic house hold needs which has helped me cut down on consumption and waste. Shopping here inspired me to formally study herbal medicine. I love supporting this business. I’ve grown more in love with Wild Terra and Danielle, who is the owner and an exceptional human being!!

Great customer service and tea blends. I’ve stopped drinking coffee and ordering it whenever I’m out because I can never justify paying like $5+ for a regular drip when I can get a selection of several teas here for under $12 that will keep me happy.

I shop here often and whenever I come in a drop a decent amount on herbs. I always leave happy with my herbs but feeling sad because the women who work here are sooo cold and rude. Why do they hate their customers so much? Are they just awkward and don’t know how to show kindness? I think I will find somewhere else to shop because it really deflates my energy when I walk in feeling happy and leave feeling like I did something wrong for supporting a local business. Get it together ladies!

This place knows tea! The staff does a great job of helping you understand the teas and find you just what you need! You can also mix different ones together to create your own personalized flavor!

Truly loved walking into this herb boutique and getting help from Julia. She is knowledgeable and also very patient. Julia helped me blend some herbs that are going to support me through the winter season and also my fertility journey. She was very kind and helped me prep some herbs infusions to share with friends. I left the boutique feeling comfortable and sure of what I had bought. I love that you can bring your own containers from home!

This place is fabulous, the spices fresh healthy and tasty! I could come here again and again. Just had a cup of a fabulous tea for my health. The entire crew is so wonderful and helpful. It's a great value! Yay

Small business for the little things you like . Very lovely teas . A lot of the little things to need and they offer recipes for elderberry syrup if you need it

If you want a regular place to purchase tea, this is not the spot. Here, you get full service and recommendations based on what your needs or requests are. They are well educated on teas needed for body challenges, whether lowering your blood pressure, reducing stress or help to sleep. I love this place and will continue going here!!

This store has everything you need to make herbal medicine at home. Great bulk options, tools and products. The staff is so helpful and overall the store has a warm cozy vibe.

I didn't get to visit the store myself, but, the items my sweetheart brought me are A+. A sweet little sampler package with the jasmine pearls I requested, 3 other teas and an olive oil from Tunisia. Hand weighed, hand marked. Beautiful whole tea.

Introduction: I decide to visit Wild Terra because I've been searching for herbs for a tincture that I've been trying to make. Impression: I have been to various herb shops [for both eastern and western medicine] and within the context of western herbs, Wild Terra is the best apothecary I have found in Los Angeles. The store's inventory is impressive in the sense it carries a variety of herbs that are hard to come by at other establishments, these include: -plantain leaf -horsetail -Ashwagandha root -dragon's blood resin -Arnica flowers What impresses me is how fresh all the herbs are here: one can tell through the herbs' aroma and the vibrancy of their colors. Ambiance: Fresh and clean Service: The staffs and proprietor are knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. Price: Affordable

Such a fun shop in the heart of Highland Park! Wild Terra is your go-to for dried herbs, spices, & teas. They've got strict covid rules in place- only 4 people in at a time, mask policy strictly enforced, & no self serving. So you might end up waiting in line to get in but it's worth it! There's tons of containers and bags for sake to hold your purchases. If you're looking to buy in bulk there's a discount, and if you're looking for a gift there are also interesting books, papers, and accessories to choose from! Customer service is always friendly and helpful~ Definitely check it out if you're in HP or looking for quality herb/botanical products!

A very special thank you to the individual who helped me out today with some herbs and a tea blend for my partner. The environment here felt very safe and warm. If you are new to herbs or looking for some advice - I would highly recommend visiting. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. They sometimes do run out of some premade tea blends but they made a small batch separately for me immediately. I love going there.

Rachel was patient, knowledgeable, and so kind. I love this place! I got everything I need for myself, my husband, and my in laws, plus some really delish kombucha. Rachel helped me put my tea batches/formulas together and explained as well as wrote down the instructions for preparation. I also got some very cool organic apple cider vinegar. Prices are incredibly reasonable.

If you want to get away and smell and feel the medicine pouring out of the shop, this is the place! I drive 45 minutes probably once a month just to grab my herbs. The staff is so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about products and herbs. I LOVE the book selection here. It's different every time I come and I absolutely can't stop picking more books up to add to my cart. Very great energy here and a great place to learn and grow your knowledge of medicinal plants to add to your life. Definitely go visit!

I go here for slippery elm powdered form. They have an assortment of stuff. Very organized. Was helped by a cashier who made the experience bland, but I suppose she's not paid to talk. This is definitely an artsy fartsy gentrified spot you might pay extra than a small hole in the wall else where... let me know if you find that other hole in the wall cause I can't. THE MOMENT YOU SEE AN IPAD AT A COUNTER IN A GENTRIFIED PLACE LIKE THIS. YOU'RE GOING TO BE ASKED TO TIP FOR SOMETHING YOU'VE NEVER TIPPED BEFORE. Maybe I'm cheap, but I'm not going to tip someone who is scooping out an ounce of powder into a brown bag. Great spot tho.

Great customer service! Bought a few cool things, but since I was visiting, I wasn't able to get more items.

I used to live part-time in Oakland, so I would get bulk tea from the Berkeley Bowl. Dirt cheap. Wild Terra seemed a bit pricey by comparison. But, it's not. It's become my go-to place for herbal tea. I get a whoppin' bag o tea for about $12, and it lasts me for six months. (By comparison a big ol' can of Trader Joe's French Roast - also about $12 - lasts me for a couple of weeks.) The store is damn cute, and I always want to buy stuff just because it's so damn cute. But, alas, just the tea. Yeah, I read some of the complaints about the people who work there. It's true that they don't exactly fall all over themselves with friendliness, but hey, we're in the middle of a pandemic. Everything sucks. The service is fine. Maybe they'll be friendlier when the pandemic is over and they're not worried that their customers might kill them with covid.

Felt racist in there. Very weird/very watched vibes as the only black person in there.

This place has great vibes. The staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. They are able to make tea suggestions based on your specific needs. My favorite is the Daily Nourish.

My favorite place to go. They have tinctures, loose leaf teas, books, spices etc. Their prices are reasonable if not cheaper than most places (especially for tinctures). The quality of herbs is also stellar. Every time I've restocked their potency has never waned. The owner used to have in person classes, which were so informative and fun, but they've become so busy (plus the pandemic threw a monkey wrench into the flow of things). Maybe they will offer them again in the future. This place is such a hidden gem for the eastern side of LA. I hope they stay around forever.

It's always thrilling to discover hidden gems tucked away in your own backyard. Wild Terra is one of my recent discoveries. With cold and flu season in full bloom, I was curious about fire cider, a natural concoction made with apple cider vinegar, ginger, garlic, horseradish, and other goodies that is supposed to boost your immune system. I had found a recipe for fire cider but got too busy to shop for ingredients and make it myself. So when I saw that Wild Terra was offering a workshop on making fire cider, I immediately signed up. It was also an opportunity for me to check out the shop for the first time. Located on Figueroa St. in Highland Park, Wild Terra is a mecca for lovers of tea, spices and herbs. The selection here is astounding. The workshop was lead by Danielle, who I believe is the owner of Wild Terra. She shared the history of fire cider and then proceeded to demo how to make it, store it, and use it. The best part was when we got to sample it. Omg, it was warm and yummy and so perfect on a wet, rainy LA day. Danielle set up a DIY bar with ingredients to make our own jar of cider to bring home. It will take about a month for the cider to be infused with all the stuff inside the jar and I can't wait to start using it. She also shared how fire cider can be used in cooking and in making salad dressings. So versatile! The store itself is airy and open, and the gentleman who was working at the register was warm and friendly. Such a positive vibe. They also carry a nice selection of books, wrapping paper, and tea accessories, as well as their own line of skin serum. I really enjoyed the experience of being there and can't wait to go back to shop and attend more workshops. What a great find!

This shop is absolutely amazing. From selection to how helpful the employees are to sustainability and also focus on safety during the covid pandemic- they're doing something fantastic here. This is now my go-to place for herbs, teas, and spices! The last time I visited I was interested in trying the Jasmine Earl Grey Green Tea (I mean...I like jasmine, I like earl grey ) and it was delicious! Saw a couple other really fun sounding tea blends in there as well, so I'm looking forward to playing with more.

I came by for the first time yesterday to pick up about 20 herbs, salts, and oils. The inside of the store is very clean and organized. The shop takes Covid precautions and has a shield between the register and the customer, along with having the employees grab and measure everything for you. I came into the store instead of preordering for pickup because I wanted to see exactly how many ounces I was getting. Turns out a lot of the items listed as out of stock on the website were in stock inside the store! So it was a good thing I went inside my first time. I think the only thing that made my experience less than 5 stars was that the employee who was helping me seemed like she was annoyed with me. Maybe because I had a lot of stuff on my list (want to limit the trips I take at this time). She was very short in her replies, didn't smile or really make any small talk, and just kept asking what's next. I got the vibe and energy that she didn't want to be there or didn't want to help me. Maybe she was just having a bad day? But the other girl who helped her to help me was totally sweet and friendly! Which kind of made the contrast between their behavior even more obvious lol This won't deter me from returning, I'll probably just come at a different time and day. The concept and selection of the store is just too good! I just wish that employee the best and hope she feels better, so other people who come into the store won't feel the way I did. I lowkey just wish my first customer experience with the shop was that

This place is so organized, I did not get the name of who was helping me, but everyone there was respectful, informative, helpful, everything need it for a 5 star customer service, I was thrilled with the amount of products and organized counters, best local raw honey, and we found thyme tea. Will definitely come back many times.

I stopped by to get some herbs and teas this week. The staff is all really friendly and helpful. I wasn't quite sure what to get. I asked them a few questions, told them what I was looking for, and they helped me get what I needed. They have lots of medicinal plants, teas, spices, and other goodies like containers, tea vessels, dark chocolate (I picked up a bar by Raaka), kombucha, and books. Shopping in person feels super safe. They have hand sanitizer for you to use as soon as you get in. There are plastic dividers between you and the employees at the register. There is also curb side pickup if you prefer that.

Love, love, love this place!! I could literally spend hours in here with all the delicious spices and conjuring up new tea combinations. The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. A perfect place to buy gifts for friends and family...and I never leave without getting something for myself too:)

This place is so great - and the service is awesome. Well - sourced stuff. I made an herbal booze with a number of calming herbs - Passion flower, worm wood, etc. tasted like crap but had fun effects! I've also, had their maple syrup, pumpkin seeds and much more. My wife took a class with them pre-pandemic and had a blast. Very stoked about this place, and have been for a while, but I just realized I haven't written a review. I hope they stay in business for years to come.

Save yourself the rude attitude and shop somewhere else ! I've shopped here several times and the herb selection is wonderful but the women working here are SO cold and rude. I get it, dealing with people all day can be draining and annoying but I am educated about herbs and plant medicine and always try to be respectful of their knowledge. How can you be so unhappy when you spend your days around abundant plant matter? Show some gratitude to your customers and humble yourself.

They have a wide variety of spices and teas at reasonable prices. You buy them by the ounce and they put it into a paper bag.

Every visit my excitement and appreciation for what they do here increases. Ditch your McCormick seasoning and fill your spice rack with quality ingredients- literally. I never leave this store feeling ripped off. In fact, I always walk out the door with the feeling that I treated myself- even though I didn't spend much! Need a cup of tea? GET IT HERE. These ladies will find the herb concoction for any vibe or ailment you are feeling. For less than $3 You can also buy the herbs to take home too. I've replaced my dishwasher detergent and my dish soap so far and not only are the products good quality, I feel so much better refilling my containers with their bulk supply instead of throwing away so much plastic. Anywho- Wild Terra for the win. Support this local business.

I was looking for a herb shop near LA and found this place and I had no idea about anything coming in here but one of the staff members helped me out and educated me on a few herbs for tea and recommended what was right for me. She was extremely helpful! I got rose and lemon balm for relaxation. :-)

Agrestis - Of or pertaining to land, fields or the countryside; rural, rustic, wild. A very useful depot for the procurement of exotic and rare earth elements produced by natural processes. Bitter orange peel, cinchona bark, galangal, gentian, licorice, quassia, rhubarb root, saffron, tamarind. Just saying.

Ive been shopping at Wild Terra for over a year so it's time to just share with others how special they are. They truly care about freshness and high quality herbs/spices/teas. Occasionally I'll pick up flaxseeds or loose leaf tea from another place and it just confirms that Wild Terra has the highest quality and best tasting products. The recommendations I've gotten here have been wonderful too. I absolutely love tea and creating tea blends and they just casually recommended trying cocoa shells instead of cocoa nibs and now I'm living my best life every morning with rich black tea and cream and cocoa shells. I really love popping in and grabbing ounces of new and interesting things to try. Just go!

I hope this business is here to stay. The freshest and most organic of just about anything that comes ground up or in the form of powder. You're in good hands there for many herbs and, if you use mushroom powders in your coffee, this is your first stop. The help is all friendly and everything is measured out to order from large storage jars into your own personal bag.
