Only get takeout but very great atmosphere. The staff is quick and very nice. The mango salad and mango salmon wrap sushi are underrated- so good! Everything is super fresh, the noodle dishes are standard- maybe a bit on the pricey side but I appreciate their consistency so I don’t mind!

Google
We loved this place! The food was really great. We tried sushi, several appetizers, the salad (the dressing is amazing!), Panang curry and a noodle dish. Everything was super flavorful and the service was great! Highly recommend.

Google
Super friendly staff. Nice quiet atmosphere without all the crazy nosiness of some other local restaurants. Great sashimi. Always greeted with a smile. Eat there frequently because the food is good and the staff is outstanding..

Google
Overall I give it a 4 but I'm giving the food a 3. I’ve been here five or six other times, but this time was not the best experience. I had basil fried rice with shrimp. The shrimp were delicious, but the rice wasn’t fried at least not to my liking and I could barely taste the basil. As a matter fact, it didn’t even taste like Thai food. My husband had the shrimp Kung Po. Again, I think the rice was a miss. No flavor, no taste the authentic Thai flavors were not there.

Google
Ordered Thai ginger chicken it was okay. Not as good as it should be for the price! It was delivered to me and they didn't the plates or or napkins or plasticware I asked for!

Google
Great place for sushi and Thai food. We are vegetarian/ vegan and has so many incredible options to choose from. Service is quick, ambience is very nice. Kid friendly and plenty of street parking in downtown Hinsdale. Loved all the veggie rolls and pad Thai, Penang curry we tried!

Google
Awesome food at a place with great ambiance. The service was very attentive. Pictured here is a spicy tuna roll, a plate of pineapple fried rice, salmon hibachi, and tofu hibachi. All very tasty! Definitely a place to try when in Hinsdale.

Google
One of our favorite places for fresh sushi in the suburbs. Love the garden salad with the ginger dressing. For dinner we had Rainbow roll, Dragon roll, Godzilla roll, Out of Control roll and American Dream roll. The host is always welcoming.

Yelp
Ordered take out. Gyoza good (appreciate they are pan fried and not deep fried). Shumai was fine. Yakisoba was disappointing. Needs way more sauce to give authentic flavor.

Yelp
For a small neighborhood place, Wild Ginger is very good The food is always fresh and flavorful; the avocado salad is delicious. The service is always good and the staff is always friendly and accommodating.

Yelp
Good sushi at an excellent price point especially with specials makes it a good place to order late night sushi at a party or when you don't feel like going out to dinner that night.

Yelp
Well coming back from Wisconsin originally we were supposed to go to the Jade dragon restaurant that was referenced to a psychiatrist I saw on LinkedIn saying it was the best but once we stepped in my friend who is paying couldn't stand how smell that traditional retro Chinese restaurant was so we ended up going over here to this more of a upscale fusion of Thai Japanese and some Vietnamese dishes and some Chinese which ok good . The tomkha soup was much more tomato tasting then traditional Thai that is more coconut milk based. The satay chicken was flavorful and delicious. The sushi and sashimi dinner or seafood used was fresh. The Vietnamese pho spring roll that my friend had was so so okay it had the flavor but the roll was not wrapped up texture wise. Service was pretty good and attentive. I even ordered a cocktail drink of a hybrid of a screwdriver with orange juice and vodka. The salad was fresh that came complimentary with the sushi and sashimi dinner I ordered. The tempura ice cream was unique versus what I know from other Japanese or Japanese fusion restaurants but other than that 4 out of five stars a little too overpriced but okay in Hinsdale. Originally we were going to go to this Chinese restaurant called Jade Dragon in retro 1970s ambience but my friend could not stand the odor once he stepped into that building and so we ended up going to a more modern upscale restaurant which is here.

Yelp
The flavor of the salmon is super delicious, good service but a kind of slow. Crowded place. Definitely I'll come back again.

Yelp
This place was recommended by my local family. This was my first time here to order some take out Asian food. We arrived here on a very cold windy day on December 22 prior to Christmas where the temperature was near -9 degrees without the wind chill of -30 degrees. When I arrived my food order was ready for my pick-up. I enjoyed my ginger salad with beef, spicy tuna sushi roll and gyoza, the latter of which we shared. My total bill was $98 excluding gratuity for the five of us. We agreed we will continue to return here for sushi or other Asian take out.

Yelp
Always on point. Best orange chicken around here!:) Our go to Chinese food place on most Sundays.

Alia M.

Yelp
If I could give it a negative star I would, shittiest place in all of hinsdale lol. Horrible food and even worse service.

Mary O.

Yelp
Always good service and great food! We visit often and will continue to! Classy enough for date night but just as comfortable for casual dining on the run. We love the hibachi salmon!
google avatar

Yelp
Middle of road sushi. Combo was good (pictured) but I thought it was only $16 (L on menu means lunch) versus the $27 I paid. Salad that comes with it is a waste of time. Spicy salmon roll is pretty good tho. Inside was not very busy on a Friday night.
google avatar

Resi W.

Yelp
Worst Thai food I have ever had. Chicken was slimy! No flavor! And I paid more than I have ever paid for Thai food! I'm disgusted!
google avatar

Nichole M.

Yelp
We like ordering from here. Some great items and some good items. Apps: The gyoza is my all time favorite. Crab Rangoon is good too. Sushi: I like the spicy tuna and spicy salmon. The pad see ew is pretty good. I don't like the orange chicken much. I really like their fried rice. It's a little different than most Chinese restaurants. Overall we really like this place when looking to order out.
google avatar

Alixx C.

Yelp
The orange chicken was delicious. The asparagus and beef was all carrots and mushrooms. Hardly any asparagus hardly any beef and the beef that was in it, was tough. Egg rolls very mediocre. Sushi was ok. Middle of the road but I'll never go down that middle again. Too expensive

Yelp
Went here for lunch and the food was ok. The host comes off as a little cold and rude, but he was actually cool and funny once you started talking to him. Then again, I'm used to various personalities when I travel--so I was fine either way. I ordered the shrimp shumai and Salmon lunch hibachi, and it was decent. The shumai was good but I felt there was a little too much sauce on my salmon and I don't like my meat drowned. The lunch menu prices were good and I had plenty of food, so no complaints there. I'd return and try something else.

Yelp
Ordered take out from this spot. Started out super positive... I'm an out of towner so I went off reviews to find this place. Food tasted good but I found a sharp metal wire in my Pad Ke Mao. Seriously if I or someone else ate that wire it would end up causing massive damage and likely need surgery.

Cory H.

Yelp
I find that Asian fusion places often disappoint, but this place is the rare exception in that the food is quite good and tasty. Some of the best Thai food around and if you like American-style sushi, they do a pretty good job of that too. Whatever you order, be sure to get the pineapple fried rice. 美味しいですよ。
google avatar

Victoria M.

Yelp
Wow - everything was so good, the food was so fresh. We truly enjoyed our experience. The service was amazing. We would definitely come back!
google avatar

Lisa J.

Yelp
I've noticed a pattern from reading the reviews. People seem to like their sushi but not the other food on the menu. I wanted to like this place so bad because it's nearby and I usually love Asian food. I've probably ordered here 5 times; that's how much I was hoping it would work out. The pad thai is bland and just not tasty. The Tom yum soup smelled really wrong. I took one sip and then dumped it out. The spring rolls had these little grey balls of something that I'm not sure what it is or that I want to know. Disappointing. Well, I give up. I definitely tried.

Yelp
Ate there with friends last Saturday before a concert. They were not busy at all for a Saturday and we were puzzled because the food was very well prepared with very large portions at a very reasonable price. The menu is Asian fusion Chinese and Japanese including sushi, wok- prepared entrees and bento boxes. My wife and I had tempura bento box dinners that were excellent and too much to finish. Our friends had a bento box teriyaki dinner and a Chinese stir fry. We all enjoyed our entrees and plan to go back and we recommend you give this place a try. They deserve to be very busy.

Yelp
Wild Ginger was amazing, their sesame chicken was outstanding! It definitely wasn't the best, but way better than other restaurants. The Fried Ice Cream was delicious, but it does fill you up very fast. I did have a stomach ache walking out. Their mochi is also very good, it definitely was one of the best that I have had.
google avatar

Buddha E.

Yelp
First time here at Wild Ginger great relaxing ambiance ,friendly staff. Beautiful presentation on all the food. The extra garnishes from the soup salad and entrees was an excellent touch. The was excellent especially the Basil entrees. My wife enjoyed this quaint and friendly establishment, we will definitely return.

Yelp
Delicious and fresh food ready fast. People are nice also. Pad see ew is great w a lot of broccoli.

Yelp
I bought a living social coupon for this and it works great the place was amazing and clean and the food was good. So much choices. It wast pack when we went and so nice. I will come back even without coupon its worth coming here! I will visit again soon!

Yelp
This place is awesome, I don't understand why the place doesn't have more customers. They have sushi, Thai, hibachi, and a thriving to go business. This place is open for dine in now. If the wait at Fuller House is asinine, come around the corner to Wild Ginger!!!
google avatar

Lauren S.

Yelp
This place is delicious with many gluten-free and dairy-free options, and it is one of our popular takeout spots. I LOVE the Mexican roll. Sushi is a FIVE.. and I highly recommend! The only reason for the 4-stars is because the rest of the menu (e.g., pineapple rice, etc.) is definitely above average but not quite as exceptional as their sushi menu (all of which is delicious, so you can't go wrong!)

Fouzia H.

Yelp
Good food fast service and good portions Will definitely order again . They were very efficient, I requested no MSG and the called and double confirmed.

Yelp
Great find. Good food and fair prices. We will definitely return. Note for ownership: We chose take-out and said we didn't want soup. It was included & packed in the bag. Too bad because we just disposed of it.

Nina S.

Yelp
Fried rice combo is small, has only 3 shrimp and four shredded beef, chicken is not visible. I like the spring roll and the Fried squid sauce.
google avatar

Christine A.

Yelp
Very ok food. Nothing special, but the prices seem reasonable for downtown Hinsdale. The hibachi chicken was very dry and tough but the vegetables were cooked well. I ended up leaving the chicken after 2 bites.
google avatar

Goda J.

Yelp
Jummy! 1st time ordering - orange chicken is really good (and I am picky when it comes to orange chicken ) Crunch roll also very good. It tasted fresh, portions are big!
google avatar

Adam R.

Yelp
Food was mostly pretty good. The garden salad was romaine lettuce, one slice of cucumber, and one half slice of tomato. Not a great value for $5. I would try it again, but I'd stick to entrees.
google avatar

Erica J.

Yelp
Ordered a Groupon for this place and ended up saving it for a second visit because sushi is half off on Mondays and Tuesdays! They only honor one or the other, so plan accordingly. The restaurant is open and warm, but we weren't greeted when we entered, just directed to a table. Our server was attentive and kind, and we had a great dining experience. The food was pretty standard, and they have a large menu with lots of options. I got a few sushi rolls, and my dining partner got pad kee mao that was pretty sweet and tasty. The sushi was good but not amazing, although I wouldn't hesitate to return! Especially on a Monday or Tuesday when all the rolls are half price :) Definitely worth checking out!

Kathy B.

Yelp
Very good sashimi and lovely presentation. Husband enjoyed Kung Pao Chicken. We're always looking for places that have sushi/sashimi for me as well as Chinese dishes for him. Excellent service and nice decor. We'll be back!
google avatar

Carrie P.

Yelp
Had cashew chicken and egg rolls. I asked for egg rolls crispy, they were not, and they were small, and over priced and not very good. Cashew chicken was below average.
google avatar

Diocelina G.

Yelp
This place is great! Food: super fresh Decor: simple and clean Staff: friendly and efficient Prices: decent My favorite sushi place in the area, highly recommend
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious. Delivered in a brown paper bag, and then in a plastic bag. Right on time with their estimate for delivery. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Dan M.

Yelp
Food was not good. Mongolian beef tasted like it was boiled. Very little flavor. The plum sauce was citrusy, not bad, just not right. The crab Rangoon was the best thing we ordered. The egg rolls were meh. Was looking for a place since New Hong Kong shut down and Moy Goy doesn't deliver. I'll guess I'll keep looking.
google avatar

Nina W.

Yelp
Yelpers are overrated this restaurant. Food was not good at all, using lot of mayo, teriyaki sauce taste like tomato paste added. Beef was so chewy and under seasoned so blend. Miso soup was so salty, clear soup was ok not so bad. Mocha ice-cream was melting and tasted funny. I would have rated this place for 1 star but the service and interior deco looks nice. So 2stars would be faired
google avatar

Melissa U.

Yelp
Love this place. Huge menu and everything has been good so far.Fireball roll, crab rangoons, general tao chicken was delicious. I would not order the cheesecake because it was frozen.

Yelp
STAY AWAY! I don't know where to start. I had a strong feeling when walking in my meal wouldn't be satisfying. I was absolutely correct. Upon entering the place, a stocky Chinese guy manning the front counter desk was apparently busy with his phone and took forever to acknowledge my party and rudely at that. Instead of asking the always asked, "How many?", he just blankly stares at us silently until I ask him for a table. Sorry to mess up your day buddy. The server, also rude, I saw three times the entire meal. 1. Take the order. 2. Bring order. 3. Bring check. Not once did he check up to see if we needed anything or asked how the food was. Even if we did need something, he was nowhere to be seen anyways. As a first time customer there, my party of two ordered 2 lunch specials- Pad thai and the 2 roll special. The pad thai came out first, and I was shocked. First, a tiny dish with tiny serving. Second, all the usual toppings like bean sprouts, chives, egg were so sparingly added, they may as well have not been added at all. Third, the place charges a dollar extra for chicken, and they use chicken thigh dark meat, sparingly as well? What restaurant these days uses chicken thigh? Even the cheapest Chinese takeout uses chicken breast. The pad thai was NOT pad thai. It tasted nowhere close to it. Horrible dish. Fail. So the place can redeem themselves with the 2 roll lunch special right? Wrong. One "roll" was 6 pieces of maki sushi which is a roll with a single ingredient and rolled into the size of an index finger. Fail. The other roll which was eel was about half the size of an identical roll at any other sushi place. There were 8 pieces of the eel roll but at this place's laughably small size, those 8 pieces probably equate to half the quantity of a typical roll anywhere else. Fail. If you want sushi, you're better off going to the AYCE sushi over on Ogden in Westmont. I will never go back to Wild Ginger. I offer my warning to others to stay away from this overpriced joke of a restaurant.
google avatar

Bruce B.

Yelp
Fresh fast and clean very friendly staff. Chis put together some great sushi his own custom creations.

Tom R.

Yelp
The food was ok, but they didn't have a bartender that could make a martini. Service was slow.
google avatar

Leanna C.

Yelp
The pad Thai was very dry, barely any flavor. I also ordered the Tom yum soup, which is usually a sour soup, but has no remnants of sourness in it. We definitely did not finish any of the order. The sashimi was not fresh and tasted fishy. I'm pretty disappointed in the order considering we spent about $75!
google avatar

Padma A.

Yelp
Early business dinner , i ordered chicken redcurry which was pretty good quality and tasty .... will try sushi next time. The restaurant is nice and inviting in the cute Hinsdale downtown
google avatar

Yelp
Yummy food but small portions. Great crab rangoons. Friendly staff. Order more food than you think you'll need.

Jake Y.

Yelp
Some of the best food I have ever had in my life. I have eaten all over the world and I always find myself coming back to wild ginger. Great staff and super tasty food.

Yelp
Did great with gluten-free options for sushi! We also got a couple Chinese entrees that were delicious.
