My trivia team and I finally found a great spot to call home after our other place closed down.
Wild Hare has trivia nights on Tuesdays, and they're a lot of fun. They also have $6 tacos throughout the night, and happy hour which ends before trivia begins. So we tend to order off that menu so our food is ready before we start.
So far, I've had the fried cauliflower, tacos, mushroom flatbread, buffalo wings, and totchos. The totchos look great on paper, but execution that night was lacking. Our waitress did take it off our bill, which was nice. They had a bitter taste at the end, so I think the oil needed to be changed. Otherwise, they would've been really delicious, especially with a cold beer. I would try them again in the future in hopes that they will taste better. The fried cauliflower and the mushroom flatbread are my favorites so far. The mushrooms are so flavorful, and the fried cauliflower is surprisingly filling with a good amount of heat from the dipping sauce. I just wish the portions were bigger, but it's good that they aren't because I'm watching my figure.
The tacos were okay. I got shrimp tacos, and the shrimp was good. But the tortilla makes the taco, and I think they were store bought. And you can't go wrong with their buffalo wings. You do get a lot with that order, good enough for 2-3 people.
Prices for happy hour drinks are good. I don't really drink alcohol, but I needed one the other night. I ordered a Moscow mule, and it was made perfectly. It wasn't too sweet, and it had the right amount of alcohol.
Service during trivia night can be slow because there's only one waitress, but she's fantastic! She knows exactly what our orders are, and makes sure we're taken care of. She's one of the reasons why we've made Wild Hare our trivia home.
I would like to come here for brunch.
