This was by far the worst accommodation I’ve stayed in. The place was in poor condition, with broken features, missing amenities, and an overall lack of cleanliness. It felt unsafe, as there was no proper lock on the door, and the room had visible signs of neglect. The photos online were completely misleading, giving the impression of a cozy and well-maintained space, which couldn’t be further from the truth! To make it worse, the host was rude and dismissive, showing no concern for our comfort or safety. Communication was unprofessional, and any feedback was met with hostility rather than solutions. This place clearly doesn’t value its guests, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a nice stay! BOOK ELSEWHERE !!

My recent stay at this accommodation was far from what I expected, and unfortunately, I left feeling both disappointed and frustrated. From the beginning, it was clear that the place was not prepared for our arrival, as the host seemed unaware of our booking. We were told to wait for hours while the space was made ready, which was a poor start to our experience.||||Once inside, the condition of the yurt was not as advertised. There were missing ceiling beams, visible water damage, and no lock on the door, which made us feel unsafe and uncomfortable. This was far from the "rustic" experience we expected and was misleading based on the pictures.||||To make matters worse, the communication throughout the process was unprofessional and dismissive. The host repeatedly implied that we were not the "target customers," which felt like an excuse to ignore our legitimate concerns about the safety and quality of the accommodation. Instead of addressing the feedback constructively, the tone of the responses was passive-aggressive, making the entire interaction even more frustrating.||||I eventually received a refund, but the entire experience left a bad impression due to poor customer service and the unwillingness to accept feedback. I would not recommend this accommodation if you value clear communication, transparency, and basic standards of comfort and safety.||||Wouldn't recommend at all

An utterly disappointing experience. When arriving at the location a lack of signage made it confusing in regards to parking due to scattered cars no distinctive place to park. After arriving at the allotted time we were forced into waiting as there was nobody to be seen. After a few phone calls and many minutes of waiting a man who introduced himself as rasmus showed up and asked who we were and what we were doing there. After explaining we was there to say in the yurt we was met by confusion and a lack of knowledge of was going on. Rasmus then proceeded to ask for proof of booking and was shocked when presented the booking and apologised for the yurt not being ready which is fair enough for the circumstances but odd for a business that seems to pride itself in offering a premium service. Rasmus explained he was busy with a personal matter and said that he would bring the necessary sheets and bedding shortly. At this point he told us where to find the yurt and said that it was cleaned and ready for us despite the lack of sheets and bedding. When entering the yurt we was met to a place that barely resembled the images on the website and we was unsure that it was the right place. Whilst exploring the location we were met by leaks in the walls of the yurt with damp inside. A ever growing pool of water that caused the roof to droop down. A door that had a lock that worked 30% of the time if you was lucky. The toilets were locked and inaccessible and filled with the previous occupants waste. After contemplating and looking at previous options we decided that we would find alternative stay due to the fact this is not what was advertised and we were thoroughly let down by the disorganisation and state of disrepair of the yurt. After finding alternative accommodation (that was even better than advertised and a wonderful experience.) Rasmus proceeded to let us know that the room was finally ready after 4 hours. If you are ever thinking of staying here i highly suggest you have a look at some of the other fantastic places listed on airbnb.

What a fantastic place! We stayed in a yurt, next to a stream, surrounded by trees and birdsong. A very warm welcome from our host Rasmus, who was helpful, but respected our privacy. The facilities were eco-friendly and provided all that we needed. The yurt was comfortable and fun. We visited a nice pub, roughly a 30 minute walk away (with a few hills). My wife and I loved staying at Wild in Style. We will definitely return!

Loved everything. The yurt is fab, the outdoor fire pit and indoor log burner allow you to stay toastie whatever the weather. The shower was lovely and nice and hot and the field kitchen and yurt were really well equipped. We didn’t go short of anything we needed. Bedding and bed really clean comfy and warm too. Lovely host who sorted out our poor fire making skills for a well earned glass of wine. ||Clear panel in center of roof made for lovely star gazing and the area is untouched and lovely. ||Genuinely dog friendly and there’s a lovely dog there already called Olaf who is just so sweet and really tolerated our yappy ones. We shall be back!

Where to start. This place really is something special. Myself, my 11 y/o son and dog stayed in Freyas Sal log cabin for 2 nights on the Jubilee weekend. (They have yurts too)||The cabin was fabulous with everything you could possibly need for a homely stay. The log burner was great for heating and toasting marshmallows. The beds were super comfortable. The fire pit was great for bbqs. A highlight is definitely the outdoor shower with a view. Looking over the beautiful mountains of Cumbria was incredible. An added bonus was being able to feed the animals- horses, pigs, sheep, chickens - each day. My son loved that. The sunsets were incredible too. My son loved the trampoline and tree swings. It's such a beautiful setting on a working farm. The hosts Ras and Az are so welcoming, warm and friendly, absolutely perfect hosts, so good at what they do. We've told so many people about this hidden gem and we can't wait to go back!

Just wow, im normally a hotel room kinda of a girl,, but this was amazing, we had a warm welcome by rasmus and his dogs, the views where the yurt was standing was beautiful, and we had the birds singing in the morning, we couldn't find anything wrong for the two nights we were here, it was perfect. Definitely would come and visit again.

What an amazing little place! My friends and I loved every minute of our stay in Yggdrasil our little yurt in the Ghyll. |Rasmus and Azareth are such a welcoming couple, they have done an amazing job of setting up an escape away from the world. The yurts are cleverly set away from each other so we didn’t feel over looked. As stated on their website the signal is poor which was great and allowed us to shut off. ||I had the pleasure of meeting Olaf as my first introduction to our weekend away followed by Rasmus who showed me around the yurt and our kitchen/bathroom area ensuring I knew the essentials for our staycation. We were advised where was best to watch the sunset, and said hello to the pigs, chickens, horses etc. ||The yurts are well stocked with all we needed including a cafetière, there we’re teapots/pots/pans that could be used on gas job and campfire. Everything electrical wise is on solar so we did have power banks as a back up but the yurt and kitchen area had twinkly light and USB ports. We cooled our Prosecco in the ghyll (important information haha) we stored food in cool boxes and what was fine for the weekend. |We did bring citronella candles with us, mostly because any biting bug within a square mile will use me as a mobile bar. ||When you come just be prepared to completely relax and switch off from the outside, we chose to not go anywhere and stay on camp and enjoy good company (including the birds and squirrel)
