My partner and I booked this tour for a chance to get out of the city and explore the natural beauty of Louisiana. This tour did not disappoint! Our guide AJ was very knowledgeable about the history and conservation of the area, and just being on the water for 2+ hours let us experience so many sounds and sights that were very memorable :) We would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to escape the city center!

Great day out & beautiful scenery. AJ was a knowledgeable & friendly guide. Despite the cooler January weather we saw two young gators enjoying the sun, plus barred owls, blue herons, egrets, cardinals, and tons of other smaller birds. What a wildly different experience from the first time we came on this tour. Gerald was the most amazing guide. He was a wealth of knowledge. We saw so many animals and learned so much about the bayou and swamp. He is the perfect person for the job, kind, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Thank you Gerald for making our swamp tour one of the best parts of our New Orleans trip. My mom had the best day ever!

We met our tour guide, Al, at the launch site which is along the side of a road. There is a small gravel area where you can park. Al was on time and had all equipment needed for the kayak trip. As stated in the reservation, be sure to bring your own water and sunscreen. We did not need bug spray, but there may be times when it is necessary. The tour was great with equal opportunity to hear Al’s description of the bayou or to paddle ahead on your own. Al was able to answer questions about flora and fauna and has a fun personality. He helped us spot a variety of wildlife, including many alligators on the bank and swimming somewhat near our kayaks. We also saw a family of raccoons, a few egrets, turtles, and blackbirds. The cypress trees and Spanish moss were beautiful. . The trip lasted two hours and was an easy paddle on still water. Highly recommend!

This was the highlight of our whole trip to New Orleans! The French Quarter/Bourbon Street is only fun for so long! To be able to get out and explore the ecosystems of the swamps/lakes was in incredible unforgettable experience! AJ was a kick ass tour guide he absolutely loves what he does and loves him some new orleans! So knowledgeable and insightful about the swamps and the cities and was extremely laid back! We got lucky enough to only have a small group of 5 of some really cool strangers, plus AJ so it was more organic and naturistic! So glad we did this, would 100 percent do it every time🤘🐊🤘

I booked a 10am tour this Wednesday, and it was definitely the highlight of my week. Gerald was my guide, and it was just me and another guy doing the tour, so it was really peaceful and casual. Gerald gives the vibe of someone in love with the bayou and its inhabitants, be it plant or animal. He gave detailed and calm information on the bayou's nature and history, telling us a bit about the voodoo tales surrounding the area. We saw so many birds, turtles, and two teenage alligators. And I am so glad that they do not feed the animals. Very ethical, peaceful and informative. Kayaks were well maintained and clean. Didn't need to get my feet wet, and there weren't mosquitoes that morning.

This was a great tour--definitely one of the highlights of our visit to the NOLA area. AJ was a great tour leader--very knowledgeable, easy to communicate with, organized, and attentive. The whole vibe was very relaxed and enjoyable, and we got to see some really beautiful parts of the Louisiana swampland. We absolutely loved kayaking in the bayou. We saw birds, a turtle and 2 alligators. The Spanish moss and Cypress trees were so picturesque. The pace was relaxed and Gerald pointed out the wildlife, the plants, told stories about the history and myths of the area and answered all our questions. We had a great time.
