Wild Strands Caifé

Fantastic fairly new, quirky place in Malin Head, right beside the Chapel/Community Centre. The food is prepared right in front of you in a wood fired oven, flat breads with the FRESHEST & LOCALLY SOURCED ingredients. I tried the crab, and the beetroot and goats cheese. Lovely, light food perfect for lunch. The chef was friendly and humble. Give it a try!

Curiosity got the better of me. What a find! Very knowledgeable and passionate staff, exquisite tasting food. We cant wait to plan our next trip to this place! I had beetroot hummus on their special flat bread - possibly the best I've ever had. My husband had their hot dog and was equally impressed. Well done Wild Strands!

Love this place. Unique food with freshly baked flat breads and really tempting toppings you just wont see anywhere else. William lovingly prepares slow cooked meats and fish dishes and seaweed is found in many of them. Don't miss out on the brownies and a cup of excellent coffee!

One of Ireland's wee hidden gems. Stopped for a coffee break on way back from Malin head tower. Rustic little cafe that sells organic fresh foods. The carrot cake is the tastiest moist cake I have ever tasted, even took two to go! Staff where pleasant and took time to talk to us even sharing their surprising organic ingredients to their amazing carrot cake. Definitely recommend this cafe.

First visit for me. Very friendly owner and family. Great variety on the menu. All organic and locally produced. Great to have the organic option in Malinhead I had puree beetroot with goats cheese on a flatbread served with a salad and seaweed.My eleven year old loved the food especially the brownie with seaweed and fresh cream. The only downside is that portions are a bit small for the price. Would highly recommend . I will return on my next visit to the area

Had the vegan flatbread, which was sensational, would be blown away by that quality of food in a major city, let alone in the wilds of Donegal. Food all produced ethically and traditionally, which only adds to an already excellent experience. Child-friendly and well-priced to boot, can’t recommend it enough!

This is my favourite place to go in the Inishowen. William and his family are doing great things with organically grown food and particularly with seaweed. The atomosphere is excellent and has some of the best views of Malin Head. They also have the best cappuccino I've ever had!

Wild Strands is the best gem in all of Inishowen. Treat yourself to a warm welcome, the best coffee in Donegal, and a really original menu. The food is so nourishing and wholesome - I always leave feeling restored! And the brownies are AMAZING. Keep up the brilliant work guys x
