The Best Waterslides Around the World

"Home to Jumeirah Sceirah, a pair of tandem slides that start at roughly 105 feet and send riders down three consecutive drops at speeds near 50 miles per hour, plus Tantrum Alley, a multilevel raft slide featuring three successive funnel elements for continued high-energy fun." - Cailey Rizzo Cailey Rizzo Cailey Rizzo is a contributing writer for Travel + Leisure. What an amazing experience at Wild Wadi Waterpark Adventure! We had so much fun and truly enjoyed all the rides and activities. It’s not just for kids, adults, families, and friends will all have a blast here! The food inside is surprisingly good no need to worry about bringing your own. The calamares especially were a hit with all of us. There are plenty of places to relax, but since we wanted to maximize our time, we stayed active the whole day. The best part? We went on Saturday ladies’ night and the park was open until 10 PM. The vibe at night was incredible.. morning, afternoon, or evening, Wild Wadi is beautiful at any time of day. Highly recommended for unforgettable fun and memories!

What a place to bring out the inner kid of you!! We done about 6/7 different rides, some were exhilarating and others relaxing. We bought good and some drinks, all of which were flavoursome. The only drawback is that you have to pay to use their towels, it’s a water park and obviously you’re going to get wet! Had clean shower/ changing room facilities.

This water park is a Dubai classic. It's big, beautifully designed and, although it's no longer state-of-the-art, beautifully maintained. There are enough attractions to make a day at the water park go by quickly. The rest areas are beautifully decorated and in different locations, the most beautiful is a terrace with an amazing view of the Burj al Arab. The ticket price is not low, but the whole experience justifies the price. There are, however, a few small things that the owners of the water park should fix (it is difficult to get cold water in the showers, which is rather impractical in the summer months, the food is of lower quality, etc.).

If you're looking for an unforgettable water adventure, Wild Wadi should definitely be on your list! This was my first time visiting a water park, and I truly enjoyed it with my family. At first, I was hesitant to join my wife and in-laws because I thought it would just be an ordinary water park. However, I was pleasantly surprised! We started with the Flood River Flyer, and I immediately realized how much fun I was having. I didn’t expect the Tunnel of Doom, which was incredibly dark—a thrilling ride that left me going with the flow until we reached the light! Next was Burj Surj, a water slide full of twists and curves. I managed it, but honestly, it was a bit scary! 😂 Then came Tantrum Alley, which felt like we were caught in a tornado—so intense it made my heart race! The most nerve-wracking ride was Jumeirah Sceirah. Standing 33 meters tall, this fast free-fall water slide gave me an adrenaline rush as I stepped into a capsule that suddenly dropped me down, rushing me down a 120-meter chute at speeds of up to 80 km/h (length of chute and speed are based on Google😊). I spent nearly 10 minutes thinking about whether I should try it or not, and I almost backed out! But finally, I decided to give it a go, feeling incredibly nervous as I counted down: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1—then I plunged down! After all the excitement, we relaxed in the Action River before spending the rest of our time at Breaker’s Bay, the largest wave pool in the Middle East. This water park truly challenged me, as I’m not into sports or heights, but I overcame my fears! Additionally, the food options were amazing! We opted for the all-you-can-eat meal for 89 AED, which allowed us to enjoy delicious choices like pizza, burgers, footlongs, salads, and more every 30 minutes—perfect for an active day of fun! The facilities were clean, with well-maintained toilets and showers, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Wild Wadi is perfect for a family outing, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a day filled with fun and adventure!

Wild Wadi Waterpark is located next to the Burj Al Arab and offers about 30 rides, but you’re right—it feels pricey for what you get. Many of the attractions are older, and only about two or three stand out, while the rest are fairly ordinary. It takes around 3–4 hours to experience everything. I visited on a Friday, so there were some wait times—not terrible, but noticeable. Overall, it’s decent if you’re nearby, but don’t expect a top-tier waterpark experience.
