The Best Waterslides Around the World

"Home to Jumeirah Sceirah, a pair of tandem slides that start at roughly 105 feet and send riders down three consecutive drops at speeds near 50 miles per hour, plus Tantrum Alley, a multilevel raft slide featuring three successive funnel elements for continued high-energy fun." - Cailey Rizzo Cailey Rizzo Cailey Rizzo is a contributing writer for Travel + Leisure. This water park is a Dubai classic. It's big, beautifully designed and, although it's no longer state-of-the-art, beautifully maintained. There are enough attractions to make a day at the water park go by quickly. The rest areas are beautifully decorated and in different locations, the most beautiful is a terrace with an amazing view of the Burj al Arab. The ticket price is not low, but the whole experience justifies the price. There are, however, a few small things that the owners of the water park should fix (it is difficult to get cold water in the showers, which is rather impractical in the summer months, the food is of lower quality, etc.).

Wild Wadi Waterpark is located next to the Burj Al Arab and offers about 30 rides, but you’re right—it feels pricey for what you get. Many of the attractions are older, and only about two or three stand out, while the rest are fairly ordinary. It takes around 3–4 hours to experience everything. I visited on a Friday, so there were some wait times—not terrible, but noticeable. Overall, it’s decent if you’re nearby, but don’t expect a top-tier waterpark experience.

Wild Wadi is one of the best water parks we’ve ever visited! From the moment we entered, everything was smooth and well-organized. The park is beautifully themed with a fun Arabian vibe, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the day. The variety of rides was impressive — perfect for all ages. My favorite had to be the adrenaline-pumping Jumeirah Sceirah, while the lazy river was a relaxing break between thrills. The kids’ area was super engaging and safe, which made it easy for us parents to enjoy ourselves too. We also appreciated the cleanliness of the facilities, the availability of lockers, and the wide selection of food options — everything was well thought out. Whether you’re looking for high-speed slides, wave pools, or just a sunny day out with the family, Wild Wadi delivers a fantastic experience. Can’t wait to go back!

I recently went to Ladies Night at Wild Wadi, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing and frustrating experience. The ticket price of 165 AED did not reflect the value or quality of the visit. Queue times for the rides were excessively long, ranging from 15 to 40 minutes, primarily due to the overwhelming number of visitors and the apparent exhaustion of the staff. It was clear that the park had exceeded its acceptable capacity. Basic utilities were also missed. There were no functioning fans or accessible potable water, which led to a concerning situation where a family member experienced high blood pressure while waiting in line. The dining facilities were similarly inadequate only two restaurants were available, and both were severely overcrowded. Another major issue was the poor management and crowd control. There were incidents of visitors arguing and even fighting with the guards, highlighting the need for better conflict resolution and communication training for the staff. Perhaps most concerning was the water quality. It had an unpleasant odor and discoloration, and the free chlorine levels appeared to be insufficient, raising serious hygiene concerns. This experience was especially disappointing because I had visited Wild Wadi in the past and had a much more enjoyable time. Sadly, the recent visit did not live up to those expectations.

Wonderful place for kids and families Well organized and very safe You need to bring your water, sunblock and towels Food prices above average Highly recommended and with no doubt you will enjoy and spend a memorable day They open from 10:00 AM till 6:00 PM and recommended to arrive at opening time to avoid lines! Yet, it’s a great experience!

Overall we had a good time at Wild Wadi. We went there with our 4 year old son and I think all the attractions they have for this age is more than enough. Water slides, river and the wave. We couldn’t take out our son from the river 😄 Speaking of the river, what I didn’t like, is that people were leaving tubes in the water and those tubes were blocking everything, it was hard sometimes to pass. Also, take a note, if you are planning to visit this aqua park, take your towels as they are charging for the towels, and make sure you have special shoes for the park, as they do not provide. Of course you can buy them at the park, but the price will be higher. We were on the weekday, so it was not crazy busy, however in the afternoon it was very crowded. The food was okay. The price for the entrance is fine, you can buy tickets online and at the counter. For the residents price a bit lower. If you are planning to visit this park with your kids, definitely you should.

I absolutely loved my experience at Wild Wadi Water Park in Dubai and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun-filled day of water adventure! Located right next to the iconic Burj Al Arab, the views alone are stunning – but the real excitement is inside the park. From the moment I entered, the atmosphere was energetic and welcoming. The park is well-organized, clean, and has a great mix of thrilling rides and relaxing areas. The Jumeirah Sceirah slide was definitely a highlight – such an adrenaline rush as you drop almost vertically at insane speeds! I also really enjoyed the Master Blasters, which are like water roller coasters that push you uphill with powerful jets – super fun and unique. For group fun, rides like Tantrum Alley and Burj Surj are a blast – perfect for going with friends or family. If you’re looking to chill, Juha’s Journey lazy river and the giant Breaker’s Bay wave pool offer the perfect escape. There’s also a fantastic area for kids with smaller slides and water games. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the day, and the safety measures in place were very reassuring. Food options were good too – not overly expensive and plenty of variety. All in all, Wild Wadi offers the perfect mix of thrill and relaxation, and I genuinely had a fantastic time. It’s a great place for families, couples, or even solo travelers. I’d 100% go back again

It’s not the biggest waterpark but that means it’s easy to get around from one ride to another. There’s lots of sunbeds to relax on and the view is amazing. The food is decently priced because you’re not allowed to take your own food or drinks. Overall we like this waterpark but the other ones in UAE are better. Wouldn’t recommend buying the tickets at the gate because there’s always better prices online.
