The staff is lovely. I bought some gifts for my family in Colombia, and they packed them. The products are beautiful for souvenirs and small gifts.

Happened across Wildcard in my adventures and it was the perfect place for me to find cute, quirky magnets and miscellany for my life. The staff were super friendly and helpful to this out-of-towner, I genuinely plan to visit again whenever I'm back out that way.

We tried our whole five day trip to find gifts, souvenir type store and we didn't find this place until the last day. But every single thing we were looking for was here, magnets, art prints, kitchen stuff, handmade things, posters, cards, charms, tons of Pittsburgh stuff. Life saver of a store!

This store is so cute!! In addition to cards there are so many other knickknacks, including games, stickers, mugs, keychains, local art, reusable bags, jewelry and more. I would describe the vibe as an in person Etsy shop. I didn't buy anything though because the prices are way too steep in my opinion... $18 for an earring dish tray *sigh*

This shop just screams Lawrenceville: A store full of trinkets and gifts that are hip, cool, often woke and/or Pittsburgh themed, and definitely more expensive than they would be based on functionality alone. I work in the area and my co-workers and I often come in just to browse and laugh at the funky stuff on display. It's a very fun way to spend our lunch hour! I've also actually bought some stuff, as have my co-workers, including: a bath bomb, a little quick-dry towelette that works perfectly for kitchen use, a 3-pack of beeswax covers for food storage, a Yinzer t-shirt for someone new to the city, a booklet of Mr. Rogers' sayings, and others I am probably forgetting. Writing this review in April, I'm also eyeing their extensive Mother's Day card selections for next month. I could go on and on making a list of oddities in this store. Suffice to say that if you need a fun gift, a Pittsburgh-themed addition to your household, or just an enjoyable browsing experience, come here. About 95% of the stuff in this store is stuff you look at and say 'haha, oh would you look at that, so cute.' Just don't look too closely at the price tags.

This is a great little shop if you are looking for a unique gift or card. I highly recommend stopping in if you get the chance!

Omg. If I lived in Pittsburgh, this would be my go-to spot for gifts. I bought two fun magnets, a silly raccoon sticker, and a really cute pair of earrings. AKA quite a variety of gifts, probably something in there for most people below the age of 40-50 or at least for the young-at-heart. Cute card selection as well, with lots of local Pittsburgh options. Not cheap but very reasonable.

Stopped in today as I always do when I'm in Lawrenceville. Got a few greeting cards which are a must and a few stickers and other bric-a-brac. Staff is always so nice and friendly and their selection is wonderful!

I had this shop on my list, but then happened on it by accident. The staff was very helpful in assisting me with my transactions, and I was able to find gifts for several people, including me! I was surprised to find Pilot fountain pens here, as well as a variety of bottled inks. I ended up coming back a second time for more purchases the same day!

Very cool store for collectors! My boyfriend (and I to a lesser extent) are Funko collectors. They had a decent selection, we each found one we wanted. They also have another store and an eBay so you can always be on the lookout for the hard to find ones. They had loads of comics and other memorabilia. A fun nerd store with great service!

I absolutely love this store. I have too many favorite items that I have bought here including handmade earrings from California, stickers that I have kept for myself and gifted for people, and most recently I bought a print for some decoration in my house. I didn't buy the frame with the print because it was a little cheap looking for the price. Regardless, I can always count on this place to have beautiful items for myself or as a gift for others and I will definitely bring visitors to Pittsburgh here for a souvenir or three.

This is a great card and gift store right on Butler Street in Lawrenceville. I often times forget how spoiled I am to have this place right down the street. I can stop in for literal last minute gifts any time of the year. The shop has great handmade cards for every occasion. There are so many funny ones that make me laugh out loud. Everytime I'm in there, the quirky and punny gifts crack me up. I like the kitchen gift items like cookbooks, mugs, cocktail napkins, wine glasses etc that they have. Also the funny pot holders and oven mitts! In the back they have a selection of candles, kids toys, wrapping paper, planners, and more. It really is a hodge podge of awesome gifts that you won't find anywhere else. They have really nice and affordable jewelry in the glass case where the cashier is. I always look, but have never purchased any of the jewelry. Masks are required and it can get busy in this little store. Try to go on a weekday if you can (especially around the holidays). I stopped in the other day to check out their selection of holiday cards, and they had so many that were in packs. The cards are more expensive than a big box store, but it is nice to find unique products and support local. The ladies working are always so sweet. I really am lucky to have Wild Card in my neighborhood.

I came into wild card because it is so close to my house it is usually my go-to place for cards and gifts. I have even recently bought some jewelry a unique ring for myself. While a little expensive it was my birthday so I splurged. Wild Card really does have everything you could need for a quick gift and for cards. Their candle selection is also on point. You can spend many of minutes sniffing and smelling the different candles they have in stock. I was looking for some unique gifts for kids and I was not disappointed. They have onesies and t-shirts with a Pittsburgh Focus as well as little simple gifts that are unique. I am never disappointed by the size and selection that they have. And the art work and just art pieces they have appeal to children as well as adults. There were a few times that I wished I could fit into a onesie because they are just so adorable. They also have some political mugs that caught my attention. Nothing warms my heart like a mug with Ruth Bader Ginsburg face on it. There were also mugs with Elizabeth Warren and Hillary Clinton. Well not everyone's bag it really made me feel happy and I bought a few as gifts. I like my neigborhood store. It's perfect to pick up just a little something something. Stop in and bask in their majesty.

This place is a must-see in my book - it's one of my favorite places to visit when I need cards or unique gifts. The cards here are just darling and often quite funny, making the store a perfect go-to if the standard cards you find at the average drugstore just aren't doing it for you. And let's be honest - mainstream cards are often pretty snooze worthy. I tend to skip the drugstore shopping and go straight to Wild Card as a result, as I know a purchase here will include much more personality. Even if you're not looking for that perfect birthday card, though, you should stop in to see if you can find the perfect bonus gift. Wild Card always had a great collection of adorable t-shirts (for all ages!), Pittsburgh books and buttons, kids books, shot glasses, candles, jewelry...and more - there are truly more knick knacks than I can count. Even better, Wild Card sells gift paper to round out your shopping. The place truly can potentially be a one-stop shop if you're preparing for a birthday or other party. The staff have always been sweet when I've visited as well; I've never been on the hunt for such a specific item that I needed help, but I'd definitely feel comfortable asking for it if I needed it. Skip the drugstore and skip Hallmark next time you're shopping - try Wild Card instead. They're a fantastic local alternative, and I always love coming here to see what sorts of handmade goodies are available that weren't here last time!

We get all of our cards here. Way more personal than hallmark, and cute art/gifts as well. Definitely recommend!

What's not to love about this shop? Unique and fun items from handmade cards to little knick knacks and everything in between. I've found some of the most perfect cards here. It's really important to me that I give a card of meaning to someone. Most especially for special occasions. I also feel the art of letter writing is a beautiful way to connect with others. Wild Card has a wonderful selection of stationary for just such a project.

When we lived in Pittsburgh I loved stopping in just to look around but I never left empty handed! They were always getting new cool inventory! I've bought mugs, puzzles, stickers, magnets, tee shirts, and so lil pierogi onesies! Now that we're out of state they are still my absolute favorite to order gifts from! They have a nice section where you can be very specific with your needs notes, gift wrap etc and they're so kind and accommodating! You can find something for everyone there! It's truly a gem in Pittsburgh!

This is such a cute shop and wonderfully curated! I go here when I need a card, a gift, an art print, or just when I feel like treating myself to something nice! I have bought many art pieces, greeting cards, tchotchkes, and Pittsburgh-centric items from here and never been disappointed. The staff is very friendly and they offer free wrapping services which is a cute extra touch! Also during the pandemic they put essentially their entire shop up online which was amazing and I will continue to use even if I'm not in Pittsburgh.

I stepped into Wild Card while waiting for a table at Condado across the street, and I still can't stop thinking about how great of a decision it was. Stepping into this shop was like being transported into a magical world full of knick knacks and specialty items. This store has everything you need to buy souvenirs, decorate an office or home, and everything else you could need. T-shirts, mugs, cards, pins, keychains and a bunch of other things. I could have spent hours roaming the store, but sadly I only had 20 minutes to peruse. I think the best part about this place is that every time you you look around you notice a different item. I purchased a couple items for friends and family members back home. I'll be back to pick up more items in the near future!

Wild Card is a fun gift shop filled with various type of cards, shirts, random knick-knacky type of gifts and of course, stationary. While Pittsburgh is also home to Kards Unlimited, I feel like Wild Card has a more organized and homey vibe. It's smaller and more easier to navigate through. Being that it's smaller it has less options naturally, but still has much to choose from. They have a huge selection of Pittsburgh t-shirts because one can never have too many shirts to show their love for the 412. They also sell some really cool Pittsburgh postcards which I made sure to grab along the way. The staff is really friendly and they told me that some of their items can be purchased online should you not be able to find it in stores.

This is a cute little card and stationery store that would be a great place to pick up some gifts and cards to mail. They have cards for all occasions and they are really cute and unique. They have sentimental ones, quirky ones, funny ones, clever ones, and sweet ones. You can definitely find a card for any of your loved ones here. They also have lots of jewelry, enamel pins, tote haha, and all sorts of fun knick knacks that anyone would appreciate. Only complaint - I wish they had a bigger selection of Pittsburgh cards. They only had a few to pick from, and they were pretty expensive, at $2 and over per postcard. Overall, this is a great place to spend some time browsing. It's set up nicely and is fun to shop around! Easy street parking that is 25 cents per 15 minutes.

Whenever I'm stumped on gifts to get for people, I go to Wildcard and somehow find the best gifts for everyone. There's lots of Pittsburgh centric items, as well as cool, quirky finds and feministy things. Think mugs, t-shirts, books, jewelry, aprons, patches, stickers, etc. And of course, lots of indie greeting cards. If you ever miss out on Handmade Arcade or an I Made It Market type of event, this place is probably the best substitute around. I spent 20 minutes at Wildcard the other day and found gifts for four different people. Not just bland, generic gifts, but things that had character and made me go, oh, that's perfect for so and so! Just go already!

A super cute shop in Lawrenceville! Can't believe I haven't stopped in before. They have everything from witty cards, stickers, candles, magnets, books, and a bunch of Pittsburgh things. You can definitely spend an ample amount of time walking around and looking at all the cool stuff. Easy to find something for everyone. I walked out of there with some pretty awesome Pittsburgh cards and stickers that I had never seen before. My friend got some fountain pens and a cute ceramic hedgehog. Definitely stop by if in the area!

I adore this store so much! I discovered them during Lawrenceville's annual blossom tour this year and haven't been able to get enough of them since! Wildcard specializes in cards but they are so much more than cards! The cards they have are so unique- all from small local and /or independent businesses! Most are blank but with unique and adorable pictures/quotes on the front. They have journals, unique journals, dolls from the kreepy doll factory, wooden postcards, vintage postcards, zombie finger puppets... A little bit of everything! Literally! Yes it's all a little pricey, but they support local businesses and unknown artists... How awesome is that? Therefore I support them. I would rather purchase a $5 hand made card from here than a highmark card anyday. Make sure to follow them on Instagram! They have giveaways and contests randomly and are always posting their awesome new products! Definitely worth a drive over to lawrenceville! :)

Just banged out 100% of my holiday shopping at Wildcard. Magnificent array of cards and gifts for the Pittsburgher and non-Pittsburgher alike (I am a non-Pittsburgher). Will be back every time I'm in tahn. Thoughtful, friendly, creative. Oh my yellow heart.

This place is filled with unique, random and unusual items. It's a fun gift shop appealing to just about anyone. I always seem to leave with a handful of new items every time I visit. They have everything from pins and patches to kitchenware to greeting cards to shirts to kids toys and everything in between. The stop also sells local and handmade items and pieces as well.. they also have fun Pittsburgh themed items beyond the usual sports teams. The staff are welcoming and friendly as well. Overall a great little shop in the Lawrenceville area!

This is gift shop heaven. There are such treasures here, including lots of handmade and local goodies. This is a great place to shop for that wonderfully weird person in your life. There's a decent card selection and I love all the pretty wrapping paper options. My only complaint (that's not really a complaint) is, when I go into this store in hopes of finding a gift for someone, I always find one item (or two or six) that I absolutely have to have for myself. So I always end up spending way more than I plan on spending.

Wildcard has become my go-to place for cards, stationary, and unique gifts. It's an absolute must-visit in Lawrenceville! The shop itself is really cute, and every time I go I always find something new that I want to purchase. The cards, albeit expensive, are extremely different and adorable, and totally worth it in my opinion. I've reached a point in my life where I would rather spend a couple dollars extra on a hand-made, unique card than just buying one of those boring $3 cards at any old drugstore. I know that my friends and family always appreciate the special cards I send them from Wildcard. I also always enjoy looking at all the gifts and trinkets Wildcard has for sale, such as mugs, candles, and books. They also have a nice selection of Pittsburgh-type gifts if you're looking for a souvenir from the city, as well as a selection of gifts for babies/children which is nice. Even if you're not looking for a card or gift for a specific occasion, it's still fun to just come to Wildcard and peruse everything. Odds are you'll find something amazing!

I truly adore all of Pittsburgh's cozy local card shops, but Wild Card is a stand-out favorite. It's one of the savory small businesses that give Lawrenceville it's funky flavor, and it's one of the must-go stops when I'm in the neighborhood. Each and every item is a treasure; all are either locally crafted or carefully selected for the the shop. Here, you can find : Enamel pins, fun iron-on patches, neighborhood themed candles, dozens of types of ribbon by the yard, working bird-call necklaces, unique patterned craft paper, and, naturally, CARDS. Pittsburgh-y cards, hip cards, hilarious cards, folksy cards, bookish cards, ALL THE CARDS. I come in for a pick-me-up on dreary days. This shop is like happiness on cardstock. Next time you're in Lawrenceville, do yourself a favor and stop in!

Lovely local shop with fun cards and goods. They have a very robust online shopping feature and easy curbside pick up. they also gift wrap well especially for jewelry! I've gotten a lot of gifts here and everyone loves what I've found for them. Love this store!

I stumbled across this shop while killing time and was so glad I did! I've been putting together a package for a friend overseas and found the best little trinkets and cards here! Everything seems so original and cute! The best kind of little pins, card, and notepads to send as my friend loves these types of things. It is a little pricy but worth it. I'll definitely be returning.

"Cute" would be operative word here. You're all thinking I'm too gruff for reviewing Wildcard, eh? You're saying to yourselves, "Now why did Darren W. even go to Wildcard?" III hearrr youuuu... I was wandering the glistening, wet streets of Lower Lawrenceville Friday night before trekking across the 40th Street Bridge for another few hours of heavy metal merriment when I realized that I'd never been on the other side of Wildcard's door before. With nothing better to do for about an hour or so, I cautiously wandered in, my workboots making the wooden floor squeal slightly. Meticulously curated, stores like Wildcard have me remorseful over doing my card shopping at chains such as the now ubiquitous Hallmark shops, as well-stocked with trinkets and (even candy!) as they may be. While I think Shadyside's Kards Unlimited is a more expansive and therefore superior type of business, Wildcard holds its own against the corporate giants by keeping much of their merchandise local and eccentric. Alright, I'll come clean. Wildcard IS a tad girlish for a guy like myself to be frequenting often. To me, Kards Unlimited feels like a large variety/novelty store combined with Eide's or Groovy. I could get lost gawking at action figures and graphic novels at KU without giving a whit about their greeting card selection. Wildcard, on the other hand, is more concentrated and card-centric. It's a place I should take Kay to sometime just so I can listen to her squeak and coo over the all too precious items they have on display, things that have already been documented by other Yelp reviewers. I did almost purchase an octopus tentacle for my finger, however. Between Wildcard, an equally quirky cousin in Divertido on the opposite end of Butler Street, and the gruesomely geeky House of the Dead across the road (a review is comin'), folks shouldn't have trouble finding a gift for the ones they care about, be they oddalls or middle-of-the-roaders.

The items are so local, heart-warming, affirming, and in several cases for me today, laugh out loud funny. The staff is really kind and the environment feels totally safe. Thanks, Wild Card!

Outstanding company all together! I've hired these guys on two different occasions and had a phenomenal experience both times. Their event hostesses are absolutely gorgeous and did a fantastic job at selling tickets and making sure my stag ran smooth. I rented a photobooth from them for my wedding and everything went extremely well. My wife and I took pictures with all 400 guests who attended our wedding and the technicians operating the booth were very patient and efficient in making this all possible in such a short period of time. Overall, great company and great people to deal with. They truly cared for my best interests and did all that they could to make things perfect. Thank you Wildcard :)

I stopped in here on my cookie tour and was amazed at all the people I saw in here. Moreover, I was amazed myself when I saw all the different items you can buy someone for the holidays. Yes, they even had a book on Hanukkah which you normally would not find in this section of the city. You can find all sorts of cards, wrapping paper, books, pictures, scarves, etc. just to name a few. They really have a vast assortment of things you don't see in other stores. I came across a sock monkey scarf and I'm a real fan of the sock monkey. The saleslady told me that it was handmade of cotton and machine washable. The staff were both friendly and helpful and I was truly amazed at their selection. I love to support small businesses and got a cookie to boot! This place is definitely a must if you are looking for something different even if it is a card to that someone you want to give a gift for the holiday season.

I cannot believe that I have never written about Wild Card! This place is amazing on so many different levels. Anytime I need a gift for someone it is my go-to spot! I recently deemed myself in charge of gifts for my two bosses because I knew I could find something there that would be thoughtful and beautiful and am much happier to contribute funds towards a work-oriented gift that has meaning over a gift card. I waited until the last minute and started to stress over whether I could find anything. Sure enough, I walk in and immediately am drawn towards a necklace and a pair of earrings. The candle section is also excellent! Everything I got was gift wrapped beautifully, for no extra cost. Both of my bosses loved the items and I sensed there were some tears that were held back! This store has everything! There are unique cards, little trinkets, Yinzer-specific gift, and a ton of hand made items including jewelry! I The staff is really helpful and has no problem with taking your purchases to another level with beautiful gift wrapping! I cannot stress how thankful I am that this place exists!

This is an adorable little shop in the heart of lower Lawrenceville. It has so many wonderful gift options, from Pittsburgh-themed shirts to unique bags and earrings, as well as cards, wrapping paper, local art and handmade accessories, and much more! I could spend hours in the store browsing around (and judging from the bustling store every time I have been there, I am not the only person who feels this way!). We bought postcards here to display at our wedding, and some great Pittsburgh prints to display in our home. When my brother needed help buying a gift for his new girlfriend, I immediately thought of Wild Card. He found a couple of pairs of cat themed earrings, and had a happy girlfriend. Overall a great store and must-see on a trip to Lawrenceville!

Bumping this up to five stars. I recently stopped in looking for a card for a special occasion. After browsing the selection on the shelf and not being able to spot the perfect card I asked the employee working that day if there were any cards that had a cupcake on them. The employee did a quick search on the racks and showed me one I overlooked. Wasn't impressed by it and as I stood there contemplating whether or not I was really going to purchased that card, the employee was busy doing a search. The employee went to where they store cards. The employee pulled out the perfect cupcake card and saved the day. As I was paying and about to leave I just had to let them know how much I enjoyed their store and helpful they are. Ever so humble, the employees thanked me and just reminded me to keep coming back.

Wild Card is the perfect spot for Pittsburgh-themed gifts or art from local artists. Cards, artwork, wrapping paper, books, t-shirts, unique items, and more. I've purchased many wedding gifts here, gifts for friends who have moved away from Pittsburgh, and they are certainly my go-to for cards - birthday, weddings, babies, engagements, mother's day, etc. Even better they'll gift wrap your item for free, which is always a huge relief to me. My wife and I also had them design our Wedding invitations - which to their credit, they made several iterations per her request and were incredibly affordable. Staff is always pleasant and there is a constant flow of customers in their store which is great.

I really like browsing Wild Card - it's a little pricey for me to go in often and actually make a purchase, but I love to see all the local artist work and all the really cute and unique inventory. I especially love their enamel pin collections.

Such a cute specialized card and gift shop. You could spend hours here looking at cards and other various items. They have so many options from T-shirts and adult coloring books, to Jewelry and coffee mugs. I always stop in when I'm nearby. It's not very large and is usually pretty busy, but it's the perfect place to find something unique. I plan to do some Christmas shopping there this year!

Wild Card was a fun stationary store! We loved seeing such an eclectic array of paper goods - both cards, calendars, notebooks, journals, and it goes on and on... The way the store is set up is also so charmingly cluttered that you feel like you are getting a warm hug from your childhood librarian... Okay, maybe too descriptive but you get the idea. Also, the bathroom is ADORABLE. Yes, the bathroom. It's probably the most quaint and charming bathroom I've been in.

I could spend forever and a day browsing the cards and other items at Wild Card. If the standard selection of cards at Target or Hallmark bores you, you need to check out Wild Card. In addition to selling unique and often locally handmade cards (where else can you get a card that says "Nobody loves pierogies more than Pittsburgh?"), there are unique gift-wrap options and lots of fun gift items ranging from t-shirts, baby onesies, toys/stocking stuffers, some craft supplies, books, and art work. Love all the local-ness in Wild Card. Believe it is also the store hipsters no longer have to dream about since they were all there at the same time I was on Saturday morning. When I move into my new place in Lawrenceville, I will be back to purchase the awesome print of Zombie Attacks in the Pittsburgh area to frame & display. Can't wait! Oh yeah, had to take away a star for not very friendly/helpful customer service. Maybe that's normal for Pittsburgh, but I'm used to retail persons who at least pretend they want to help you (rather than make you feel like you're interrupting them) when you get to the register...

This is a really great store that offers a variety of gifty items and paper products.I love meandering around Lawrenceville and the beauty of Wild Card is if you happen to be dragging your kids around with you, you are able to buy yourself some time by popping in there and snooping around with the little ones in tow. I never leave empty handed and I always buy something Pittsburgh-centric to send to my out of town family and friends. From tee shirts to gift paper and cards to a funky little makeup bag or bottle opener, this is a lovely and unique shop to put a personal touch to a gift for a friend or a treat for yourself.
