Wilde Aparthotels, Berlin, Checkpoint Charlie

Lovely clean apartments. Great size with everything you could possibly need for a short stay. Having a tv in each room was great and being able to watch Netflix in the evening was perfect for us. The bathrooms were a good size with walk in shower and the toiletries provided were good quality.||The location was perfect for visiting all the attractions. Many with walking distance. ||The staff were very friendly and helpful both prior to arrival and whilst we were there.||They do not offer breakfast which would have been nice but from speaking with staff they have plans to extend and offer this facility.||We would definitely return and highly recommend especially for families.

Mixed bag of good and bad at the Wilde Aparthotels. Lets start with the good, which is location and apartment itself. Large, self contained, clean. My room had a balcony looking onto a courtyard. I was worried about possible noise from a nearby tourist attraction but did not have any disturbance on my two nights there. Small kitchen and generally very nice and tidy. As I mentioned, location is good a few hundred meters from Checkpoint Charlie. The negatives were an accumulation of small things that added up to annoying setbacks. I arrived early, say 1pm. I know very well check in is at 3pm. I stay at a lot of hotels and I know that a reasonable hour or two ''early'' is not unwarranted or unreasonable. I do not need an ironic ''we don't have any early check ins today'' at reception. I use the word reception but it is a hallway / corridor. Unattended when I arrived (and slightly bizarre wandering around) but when the receptionist showed up it was fine and she told me to come back in a hour. So I left by bags and headed off for a coffee. When I got back there was what I could describe as a ''tour group'' replete with backpacks and group check in confusion. By now two staff were in attendance and doing their best to get check in organised in what I again describe as a hallway. Wilde are basically just like private apartments, and not set up like any traditional hotel with reception, restaurants and bars, etc. I am not saying that I expected any of this, but with people arriving, many of them confused and uncertain, it is weird dealing with them in a hallway / corridor. Got to my room which as I mentioned was very nice, separate bedroom and small kitchen, nice balcony. Basically a private apartment of which there were many in the same development. I was given a Whats App contact for Wilde Aparthotels and duly used that, to find a very polite and reasonably accurate robot answering, which I personally do not like because AI is always so formatted and can never deal with anything slightly other than ordinary. Somewhere I saw an extra fee needed to be paid for room cleaning, so I did arrange that with the robot but in the end when I returned to my room having been out all of the following day, nothing had been done which was not the end of the world, but again vaguely annoying. Someone had emptied 4 pieces of rubbish from the bins which was very good of them, but the rest of the apartment was exactly in the untidy state I left it. So good location, nice apartment, some annoying shortfalls but overall I rate Wilde good.

We’re so pleased we found this gem. The location is fantastic – close to Checkpoint Charlie and surrounded by plenty of restaurants and tourist attractions. Check-in and check-out were both seamless. Our room was modern, spotless, and had everything we could possibly need. We especially appreciated the high-quality furnishings and the lovely, shower room with dual access from both the bedroom and the living room/kitchen. Coffee, tea, milk, and water were provided, and we really liked having the option to skip daily cleaning and towel changes if we preferred. We were so happy with everything that we decided to extend our stay by two extra days. We’ll definitely be coming back – and a big thank you to Irina for the best service and for making our stay extra special!

We stayed in these apartments after a friend recommended them to us. We stayed in the One Bedroom Executive Apartment with Balcony, loads of space, comfortable bed, great rainfall shower and a well stocked kitchen with all the glassware and utensils you need. Having the balcony was wonderful in the August weather and we used it every day. We'll happily stay at this accommodation again.

This Wilde aparthotel is absolutely fantastic! A great location within Berlin which is easily accessible from transport links and to city attractions. The room was very clean and was all set up for our visit with our daughter. The staff members on duty were always friendly and helpful. The only downside was the heat - there is no fixed air conditioning in the rooms, only ceiling fans and a free standing fan.

So pleased we found this gem. |Fantastic location close to Check Point Charlie and plenty of restaurants/tourist hotspots. Check in/check out was easy. |Our room was modern, clean and had everything we could possibly need, we really liked the quality of furnishings. A lovely big shower room with dual doors from bedroom and sitting room/kitchen. Coffee, tea, milk and water are provided. |We liked the fact that you could opt out of having your room cleaned/towels changed every day if you wanted. |We were able to leave our luggage after check out, which made our stay much easier.|Would recommend.

We stayed for 3 nights, lovely hotel and rooms, i thought it was a nice touch that we had a card from the team welcoming us. Lovely comfy bed, I loved the window seat too. Everything was there for our stay. The staff were all lovely and helpful. Great location, great price, will definitely recommend to family & friends. 👍🏻

I stayed at Wilde over the summer.|The hotel/apartment:|• Is in a central location which is great for getting around and visiting attractions or gigs|• Has high quality amenities e.g. Nespresso coffee machine, Dyson air blade, big HD TVs with screencast|• Coffee, tea and water bottles provided - the tea is amazing!|• Has a laundrette with washing machine and tumble dryer|• Is a decent size, with really nice furnishings|• Has a nice WhatsApp feature for resolving any questions or issues quickly||They’ve also recently got bikes to hire which are handy for getting around the city.|And if you are visiting Berlin to learn more about the history of the city, it is an amazing experience to stay by Checkpoint Charlie and on the street where the wall used to run. Also lots of tours start near the hotel.||The staff are all super friendly, helpful and attentive. They gave me many recommendations for restaurants, bars, clubs and activities.||The only negative I ever had was my room was too hot, but the staff resolved this by providing a mobile air con unit - again, a testament them and how attentive they were.
