We absolutely loved our stay at Wildebeest Eco Camp – it was the perfect place to start and end our journey in Kenya. The camp has a wonderful atmosphere: peaceful, green, and beautifully maintained, offering a true oasis right in Nairobi.||The tented rooms were fantastic – spacious, clean, and very comfortable, combining the feeling of being close to nature with just the right amount of comfort. Falling asleep to the sounds of the night and waking up with the birds made every morning feel special.||The entire staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always smiling and ready to assist with anything we needed. The cleanliness throughout the camp was excellent, from the rooms to the bathrooms and the common areas. Everything felt well cared for and thoughtfully managed.||The grounds themselves are beautiful – lush gardens, a relaxing pool area, and cozy spots to sit and unwind after a long day of exploring. It’s easy to feel at home here, surrounded by nature but still close to the city.||We also enjoyed the food and the relaxed communal atmosphere in the restaurant. It’s a great place to meet other travelers and share experiences over dinner or breakfast.||Overall, Wildebeest Eco Camp is a place with soul – beautifully designed, perfectly run, and full of warmth. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nairobi!

The cabins are magnificent, super clean, and located in a very well-kept place. Everyone here is incredibly friendly. I found everything excellent and beautiful. The food is delicious, and our friend David is an amazing host—he helped us so much and made our stay unforgettable. Breakfasts were perfect, and the views of Mount Kilimanjaro are simply breathtaking. The place is very safe and spotless.||I 100% recommend it! If you ever get the chance to visit, don’t miss it. And hopefully, you’ll be hosted by David—he is a truly wonderful local and an excellent young man.

I stayed at this camp expecting an adventurous experience, but it did not quite meet my expectations. The price was very high for what you get—essentially just a tent with a toilet quite far away (try walking at 3 am under umbrella to the toilet with +14C🫩). While the adventure aspect is there, it felt like overpaying, especially considering the costs for similar accommodations in this country. On the positive side, the bed was really comfortable, and the tent was cozy, which made for a good night’s sleep. The territory of the camp was nice, and breakfast was excellent, adding some value to the stay.Overall, I have mixed feelings. I liked some parts of the experience, mainly the cozy sleep and the breakfast, but I would not come back or pay this amount of money again. For the price, it is not worth it in this destination.PS shout out to the staff, they are fantastic and very nice

$40 per night for an 8 person dorm? For this price you’d expect the place to be exceptional. But there is no bathroom in the dorm, there are no towels provided (maybe you would have to go all the way to reception to ask for one), there is no where to hang your clothes, the old cabinets creak extremely loudly the moment you step anywhere and no matter how softly you step, and the room felt exceptionally drab. The hostel provided a packed breakfast which included two cupcakes, a mouldy banana and a small apple. Would have been perfect if the price was $10 or less a night for that dorm.

Spend three nights at the camp with our own car, can only recommend it to everyone. Washrooms were clean and very tastefully designed, staff was very pleasant, restaurant served good food and the general ambience of the place is just wonderful. Whilst being quite central in Nairobi the camp is like a little green oasis shielding you of from the city with its close to nature design. We also did some nice activities in the form of swimming in the pool and playing some billiards (we also saw a table tennis table but didn’t try that one) wich are spread around the campsite. Cannot really say much about the option to use one of their set tents other than they looked nice from the outside and if they are anything like the rest of the camp I have no doubt they are great (at least the people using them seemed very pleased). All in all a clear recommendation, especially for its location right in the city this is the perfectly to choose.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Wildebeest Eco Camp. The property is set in an idyllic, spacious garden with a large pond at its center – a lovely place to relax and an excellent spot for birdwatching. The camp offers a range of accommodation options, from simple tents to solid rooms, making it accessible for most budgets. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the security team left a good impression. A particular highlight: we arrived early in the morning and were kindly allowed to check into our room right away – a generous and much-appreciated gesture. Both breakfast and dinner were good, with dinner offering solid value for money.||However, there were a few aspects that detracted from the overall experience. The safari excursions offered by the camp do not scale with group size and are relatively expensive at $170 per person – more flexibility and transparency would be welcome here. The packed breakfast was minimal, consisting of two muffins, an apple, a juice box, and a small bottle of water. Room value for money was average at best. Despite a confirmed booking through our travel agency – including a cancellation fee – we were charged approximately 10% more upon arrival. In our view, pricing and cancellation conditions should be binding for both sides.||We also found the camp’s “eco” label to be somewhat misleading. The solar infrastructure is not sufficient to power the camp, water is sold exclusively in plastic bottles, and there is no option to refill your own bottle – which undermines the sustainability claim.||Conclusion: A charming place with great staff and a beautiful garden – but there’s clear room for improvement when it comes to safari pricing, room value, and genuine sustainability.

We absolutely loved this oasis on the edge of the city!! we stayed 3 nights. 2 in a walled room which was fantastic and 1 in a tent which was equally nice! They also have dorm style rooms that dont have bathroom attached so there really is something for every budget ! The buffet dinners were delicious!! really great quality food. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They let us hangout after we checked out because our flight wasn't until 1130pm and arranged a driver to take us to the airport! everything was clean and well cared for. It is green and lush. The pool is so nice and crisp! The pond has lots of great birds. very nice sitting areas and plants. near the galleria mall which was nice shops and restaurants, near a homemade bead place, near "Boma" experience showing tribal homes etc, Nairobi national park (which is INCREDIBLE!)

Such a charming and peaceful find in the city. Feels like an oasis. The tents make it feel like you’re having an experience rather than staying at a regular hotel.
