Wilderness Beach House Backpackers Lodge

Great hostel, but you guys really need to replace the blinds in the private rooms, they are basically see-through. Anyone outside walking past our room at night could see straight in if we had the light on. Also not everyone wants to wake up at sunrise with the light shining straight through the blinds, especially if you’re paying more for a private room.

This is a lovely place to stay. The beach view is stunning, there is a bar and restaurant area, and there are affordable dorm rooms. Also a place to play pool. The shared bathrooms are quite small.

Unfortunately the Wilderness Beach House Backpackers isn't what it used to be. This was our first stay since Annie sold - it's not the same anymore. We were barely acknowledged by management throughout our stay. The chest of drawers in our room was littered with rat droppings. On the up side, the coffee is still great!

Such a nice vibe here, everyone was so lovely and welcoming. With great regular music nights, good food and a great location all at an affordable price. I won’t ever forget the two weeks I spent here. Backpackers, don’t miss this on the garden route!

Cool place to spend 1-2 nights. 2 min to the beach and they got good pizza!

Epic place to sleep and klap a bar mission with all your friends. Lekka pool table and beautiful scenery !

We had a wonderful Sunday afternoon watching a live musician Shomon, well known for her excellent music in the garden route. She always offers exceptional entertainment with a voice that captures one's heart. The venue was fun, chilled yet bustling with local energy & good vibrations. The Spanish traveler assisting behind the bar was on top of his game & great with communication and brilliant service. The beach is safe and a walk away so I teenagers took a walk while the parents relaxed. The menu was rather simple, I assume it would change to more hearty meal offerings in Winter. If not that's my suggestion. Great local with a pool table. Worth a visit.
