Stayed at this hotel for four nights in a log cabin for six people. Positives: Food is buffet style for all meals and is good quality. Great location for seeing the Aurora and amazing wilderness. |There are many different activities on offer such as snowmobile excursions, ice fishing, aurora camp etc|Negatives:|While we stayed the daytime temperatures were -35C and the clothing provided struggled to keep us warm. They do have hand and feet warmers for sale at reception but I would expect these to be provided free of charge, guests are a captive audience and the environment is unforgiving. They also have aurora buzzer alerts which can be rented from reception but considering the guests who arrive are all here to see the aurora, in a hotel which charges guests so much |a nice touch would have been to provide them gratis instead of extracting more cash. The activities seem to be delegated at random. There are two sessions of dog sledding, one in the daylight and one in darkness. If you are unlucky you will be assigned the dark tour and there is zero flexibility to reschedule from the hotel. The hotel attitude is this is the guest problem. Having stayed at many leading hotels, this is not what I would expect from a luxury hotel. This reviewer has buyer remorse.

Absolutely amazing holiday, we booked one of the winter packages with all the activities and I would highly recommend. All the activities were great, with friendly knowledgable guides. We were lucky to see the northern lights 4 out of 6 nights and having the aurora alarm service was so helpful. The buffet food was all delicious, a particular favourite were the beef cheeks. We stayed in one of the standard rooms rather than the cabins which was lovely, although if your budget allows the aurora cabins looked beautiful and it’s a great spot to see the northern lights. This is up there with one of my favourite holidays of all time! Thank you to all the team for making it a wonderful stay.

A beautiful hotel with a great location, right on the shores of Lake Inari. The main lodge of the hotel is big and spacious, and there’s always a roaring fire in the fireplace. The staff was very friendly and competent and made sure that all of our questions were answered. Great service from Joni and Farenz at bar, suggesting great cocktails. The food was OK, but not great. (Except the soups, which were yummy.) But I guess we didn’t come for the food. It would, however, really take the hotel up a notch if they could improve the food. On NYE they served hotdogs! |The rooms were small, but comfortable. They could do some small things to improve the functionality of the rooms, such as providing more clothing hooks, fixing the level of the rails in the closet, putting up some towel racks in the bathroom, and adding a shoe rack by the door. Also some USB ports and shampoo/lotion in the bathroom. |The activities were excellent - nicely managed with expert guides - especially Joshua, Miia and Joni. This is truly a wilderness resort with well organized and varied activities. The activities were well spaced, and the planning was seamless. They had both a sense of adventure and a sense of fun, and an appropriate level of exertion for people of varied capabilities.

Outstanding hotel! We spent two nights in the Aurora Cabin and had an unforgettable experience watching the Northern Lights! We loved the warm & cozy atmosphere in the lounge area and the restaurant; the breakfast buffet was superb and the dinner was great. We ordered a lactose-free strawberry cake to enjoy in our cabin and it was delicious as well. Many thanks to the hotel staff for making our stay so special!!

Hotel, staff and guides plus the stunning scenery made the trip for me and my small daughter completely magical. The hotel and staff gave out a beautiful warm and friendly atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you to everyone who made this once in a lifetime holiday so memorable. We’d recommend it to anyone.

Very nice hotel with comfortable cosy rooms. The main building is really well decorated. A fire on one side with plenty of relaxing seating. The dining area on the other. The view over the lake was absolutely beautiful. Such a serene place, topped off by a very picturesque spot for the northern lights. Activities were good Aurora Camp, Inari Day was very interesting to learn about the indigenous people. Nature walk by the river was a beautiful memory.

Awesome hotel & resort to stay, beautifully maintained. Not bad buffet breakfast. Rooms are neat & clean, best time to visit from Nov-March coz of snowfall & frozen lake. Easy to see northern lights from back of the hotel. Free parking, good customer services.

Location is great, and overal we had a really good time. Our Aurora cabin had the best location, right on the lake. This cabin has no internet or tv, which we knew ahead and that was fine with us. But there is also no space to unpack, zero storage. In the bathroom no hair dryer or racks to hang towels. We missed a table by the sofa, nightlights by the bed, a bench at entrance to sit and put your shoes on, maybe a small fridge (medicine to keep cold). Or why not place a shelf at the stairs outside to put things?||The restaurant was clean and the staff very friendly. We booked breakfast & dinner and on the webside there are pictures of nice ala card dish. Not included. We got a no-choice dinner each night. We did not mind because the quality was very good, but that was not what we expected. |At breakfast the scrambled eggs came from a bottle and bread toasters and waffle toasters were the kind for home use. Always people waiting in line for both. ||The worst thing about the cabin was the heating. It was not very cold during our stay, +2/ -3 celcius but the blower was blowing all the time, 24/7. I got a headache and sore throat as result, the noise was like a washing machine.||They seem pretty eager to get (more of) your money, and that becomes slighty irritating. Other hotels may offer free cancellation, transfer to and from the hotel. None of that! You must pay ahead (50% at booking, the rest a month before), nonrefundable. Transfer was €110 each way, and arrival we were in a private car, so that was okay. But on the way back to the airport we were in a bus together with 12 others. The most expensive 30 minute busride of our life! ||Everything that was not positive, could easily be changed to make the whole experience a solid 5 star!
