Wildflower Hall, An Oberoi Resort, Shimla

This was off season and we had the best time. The staff is courteous and helpful especially since we had 2 small kids. I would specifically highlight how amazing our guide Shatrugan was who took us for a nature trail. He knew all about the history of not just the hotel but the mountains the region the britisj viceroy. We had the most amazing time and discussed all about environment, different flowers, plants and trees. He is extremely knowledgeable and highly recommended for any hike you want to do there. Overall a memorable trip!

It's wonderful to learn about the most expensive hotel in that beautiful city. Its prime location certainly adds to the overall experience, making it an attractive choice for visitors. The fact that the food tastes amazing is a significant advantage, promising a delightful culinary journey. A hotel with a polite staff creates a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring guests feel valued. This attention to service can significantly impact the satisfaction of visitors. Having a great experience will make your visit a memorable one. The hotel surely wants to offer its best hospitality.

A rainy afternoon at Wildflower Hall turned into an unforgettable experience. Nestled amidst the misty hills of Shimla, this majestic vintage property by The Oberoi exudes timeless charm and elegance. The rain only added to the magic, with clouds floating through the deodar trees and creating a dreamlike atmosphere. The property is beautiful but the food was average. We ordered paneer tikka pizza, it was huge but the flavours were missing, followed by a chocolate mud cake it was small and again average in taste. The hospitality was appreciable however, I expect more from wildflower hall being it under the umbrella of The Oberoi hotels. As, I have been to other Oberoi hotels too so l'm sure there is room for improvement. First, I wrote twice to the chat assistance on Oberoi page for reservation and the team assured there to contact wildflower hall for the same but I never got a revert. Thus, I directly mailed the manager of F&B there for reservations. Secondly, I have mentioned to come on my friend's birthday but nobody showed the courtesy even to wish him. Such gesture is quite common in other 5 star properties. Thirdly, there can be a small amount of entertainment for the guest. Lastly, the team was good at hospitality but not remarkable. Maybe I expected more from Wildflower Hall.

From the moment I arrived, this hotel felt like a world of its own—peaceful, secluded, and rich in heritage. Set amidst expansive grounds, it offers plenty of space to walk, reflect, and simply breathe. Every corner of the property tells a story, beautifully preserved yet thoughtfully modernized for comfort. The food was consistently excellent, with a variety of options that celebrated local flavors without compromising on sophistication. Every meal felt like it was prepared with care. What truly sets this place apart is the service. The staff was warm, attentive, and proactive without ever being intrusive. Every request was handled with grace and efficiency, making the entire experience feel effortless.

We stayed here for 7 nights and loved every moment. The food is superb and the staff are very kind and attentive. We pretty much did every activity we could from hiking to croquet to tennis and archery and also made full use of the spa. I felt valued as a guest and little gifts left for us in our room by the housekeeping team were very much appreciated and made the stay just that little bit more special. It’s a wonderful place to relax and unwind.

The destination for an awesome birthday celebration as well as to enjoy the Shimla weather in June in the warmth of the Oberoi hospitality, Wildflower is undoubtedly a great place. From the moment I made the reservation, I knew we were in good hands. The booking process was smooth and thoughtful — the staff asked all the right questions and showed genuine care. A day before check-in, I received a call from the hotel to reconfirm our preferences, allergies, and to understand if there were any special occasions to celebrate — a gesture that truly stood out. This property is worth every minute and every penny you spend. The hospitality here is unmatched — from the General Manager who personally welcomed us, to the staff who escorted us to our beautifully decorated room for my wife’s birthday. The effort and emotion behind the setup brought tears to our eyes. The room itself was perfect, with breathtaking views. Sitting outside at breakfast, soaking in the valley view with a warm cup of coffee, felt absolutely priceless. Every detail we had shared during booking — from dietary preferences to allergies — was remembered and thoughtfully acted upon, which meant a lot to us as a family. The wellness facilities were top-notch — the well-equipped gym, serene swimming pool, Jacuzzi, steam, and shower areas gave us a complete day of rejuvenation. We felt pampered in every way. We also fell in love with the natural beauty surrounding the property — the green patches, walking trails, and the overall cleanliness made our stay peaceful and grounding. One of the most touching details? Every single day, without us asking, someone from the staff would clean our car. That level of thoughtfulness is rare and speaks volumes about the culture of this place. You could sit outdoors for hours and just soak in the nature, the fresh air, and the luxury all around.
