I have recently returned from Wildlife Worldwide's Australian Wildlife Photo Safari (1 - 14 December 2025), which had been booked for a couple of years.
What a truly epic trip. Moving from overnight in Melbourne, it started in the You Yang Ranges, Geelong, near Melbourne, and then to the Serendip Sanctuary. Koalas, Kangaroos, Emus, Fox bats, Tawny Frogmouth birds and a myriad of other birds were seen.
The trip then continued on Tasmania moving to different locations for, amongst others, Platypus, Wallabies, Tasmanian Devils, Kangaroos, Pademelons, Echidnas, Wombats and myriad birds. A couple of days in the Cradle Mountain National Park also provided an opportunity for a good walk around Lake Dove in some spectacular scenery, as well as seeing the wildlife. The final location on Bruny Island highlighted more unique endemic wildlife, such as the 'white' Wallaby.
Accommodation throughout was excellent and, on Tasmania, located in areas where the wildlife roamed around freely, so giving the chance to see more in downtime.
The photography guide is top quality, giving real time advice on camera settings and providing processing workshops as requested. Logistics were very well catered for by a local guide who did all the driving and sorted out restaurant arrangements, etc, to ensure the trip ran smootly.
It's a truly wonderful trip and one I can highly recommend.
